I imagined the most wholesome version of Epic the Musical I can think of. Odysseus does not kill any of the sheep, he makes a deal with Polyphemus trading the wine with some food but no sheep, and they leave with enough food until they get to Circe. After Circe turns the scouts to pigs Polities and Odysseus beg her to turn them back with Odysseus giving her his backstory, and after looking deep into Polities's eyes agrees to let them go and help them find a way in exchange for Polities's hand in marriage. Odysseus and Circe fight over who gets to keep Polities because we all know the two were so into each other but Polities stops it and decides to stay with Circe and are married with the crew celebrating and Odysseus crying. While this is going on and during so the suitors decide the best way to get to Penelope and therefore the throne is to be nice to Telemachus and they all eventually warm up to him calling him "Little wolf." as a nickname. They become less suitors and more like uncles and roommates who live with the queen and prince. Some of the suitors even marry the 12 maidens (The same ones that backstabbed the queen in the original story) and after killing Scylla with some crew members dying go back to their voyage. Soon come across Calypso's island and Eurylochus meets her and they fall in love and some of the crew settle in paradise with another marriage. Odysseus and the rest make it home finally and on Telemachus's birthday and after realizing the situation is happy his son was raised by men who stepped up and form a strong alliance that lasts for many long centuries and everyone except Scylla gets a happy ending. What does everyone think?
This is a great fanfic story! The only thing I think doesn't work is Scylla. I heard that Hercules is only one who had a chance to kill her (and did in certain myths). And the only reason why they even went to Scylla is because they were chased by Poseidon. But since they aren't, they have no reason to go to her and fight
