It’s sad that this car reminds me a little bit of my own V50, mine isn’t as bad but because every time I wanted to spend some time and and a little money to properly clean it up and take care of it, more bad stuff happens elsewhere in our life. We’re hanging on, but I hope we can finally have some normal days soon. And then I’ll try to really get mine to shine again!
Would love to see an engine teardown on that T5, Mine has similar miles so I'm curious what the inside looks like.
the base of base models. i got a V2 parts car here in AZ that's pretty much complete, if you need some stuff that's not good on that one or missing let me know. i got basically a similar deal and all i really want off it is the wheels, the whole body kit is there? and i believe? and from AZ yes the tail lights will turn pink if they are left out in the sun and not cared for.
I'll trade ya whatever you want off the V2 for some help and insight into my wiring for my AWD car when it's time ;-)
Looking at the deplorable condition that shitpile is in really makes me appreciate just how astonishingly well-maintained my '09 C30 T5 R-Design apparently was.
So it’s a parts car after a short period of time? Kinda wish I had a base model since a road rallye spec build like mine doesn’t go in hand with a sunroof (first car so what can you do).
However, when removing the interior. I found a Catholic pure silver angel coin, which might explain some close calls that almost had divine intervention on my local valley track.

Can you record a video how to replace exhaust manifold studs? and how to screw the new ones in with such a small engine work area.

Sweet deal! I've been looking through your videos for your front hood/fender vents for cooling. With the new fenders, will you be doing the same cooling vents or are you going to do something else? I've always loved that look/functionality and want to replicate it on mine. I remember you saying you did one side first but ended up having to do both sides. I just can't find any how to or things to avoid when doing this. I've never cut into sheet metal and didn't want this to be where I started without a guide. p.s. I have the r-design front grille minus the r design holder for my 2008 if you find the new one has any issues.
I'll be re-doing the fender vents for sure and can go into more detail about it. The passenger side was done to pull air over my intake, the driver side was done for the purpose of symmetry.
How accurate do you think that 140,000 odometer is? I mean, that thing is in really really really bad condition for ONLY 140,000 miles. C30s will run reliably for 300,000 miles before any major issues (if equipped with the 6-speed).
Odometer is accurate. I've seen these cars in much worse condition with less than 100k miles. If you take care of it, it'll last 300k+, but if you neglect it for even a year, it'll rot away real quick.
Im wondering i have a c30 sport 2008 do you know if you can put a r-design body kit on it cus im not rlly sure if thats possible
Yes, all the lower trim can just be swapped over. Just make sure you're finding V2.0 trim or Rdesign trim from another classic C30, as the facelift uses different front and rear trim pieces. Side skirts are the same on all model years.

What are you hoping to change on your running C30?
I primarily just want to clean up some past projects. I sold a lot of parts off of this car when I parted it out after the engine blew in 2018, so now is my chance to put some of those back.
How many miles on that thing?
