Thank you for making this video! When Evil Lurks had my jaw on the floor, and I haven’t finished Talk To Me, but from what I’ve seen I was spooked in the beginning. Keep up the good work, I love your videos!
I'm glad to still hear people singing the praise of Get Out. As a black person, this movie was fucking terrifying for the simple reason that it's sadly extremely common for black people to go on trips with their white peers in groups or in pairs and wind up dead and these cases are underreported or have no real follow-up. Just look up the death of Tamla Horsford and you'll see my point considering her death was ruled an accident despite a shit ton of evidence saying otherwise.
I know you didn't mean it like this, but when you say it's "extremely common", that kinda sounds like you're saying... i dunno, like 9 times out of 10 a black person goes on a trip with their white peers they wind up dead 😂
when evil lurks is such a banger you also have to check out Terrified (2016) from the same director. There’s one scene in there that I think about deadass every other week
Monday evening and already tired from the work week. Your videos help me relieve my anxiety while submersing myself in the genre I love. Thank you for your work and keep it up !!!
Making these videos is equally anxiety reducing for me from the real world. Things can get tough but you got this don’t worry I know how strong you are and how hard you work. Keep up the amazing work and I’m glad I could help in anyway shape or form with helping you feel better. Love you man ❤️
Idk why but the tall man scene from It Follows freaked me out for years…. Don’t know why but it stuck with me, something about that man screamed no I’m so many different ways.
THE kill in bone tomahawk is especially awful considering the dude was ALIVE pretty much until they ripped him apart, which just adds so much un comfort to the disturbance
Bro one my favourite from 2023 and on of my all time favourites gotta be Infinity Pool, it is so twisted and really keeps you engaged the entire time, definitely worth a watch trust
I was in college when I saw 'i saw the devil'.. i was terrified in the first 10ins and it just spiralled after that. Loved that movie for the longest time!
My thing with Creep 2 as it being one of my favourites sequels of all time is that, now you know "Aaron" es a killer, there is no surprise like the first one, ant yet it goes deep and keep this new tension while we think "SIS GET OUT OF THERE HE IS A PSYCHO" that is built perfectly.
In 8th grade my engineering teacher played Terrifier for my class since she didn’t have much work for us (it was within her first like two weeks there) and she was banned from playing movies for us like a week later
You liked so many Australian movies! That makes me so happy! Some amazing choices, and the ones I don't agree with I can at least see why you'd like them. This is the 2nd video of yours I've watched, it was randomly recommended. Sometimes YT recommendations are an actual win. Love your stuff!

Just starting the video so I don’t know if it’s here, but I watched the wailing from you saying the movie was scary as hell, yeah you were right, one of my favorite horror movies
I hardly ever comment or like videos but you had some of the best takes on horror movies I’ve ever heard, the movies that you said were your favorites that I had seen I completely agreed with and now I have about 15 movies i haven’t seen that I need to watch
I was watching cowboy movies to research sound design in modern westerns. That one kill in Bone Tomahawk literally clouded my brain for half a year. It made me depressed for some reason. I've never seen such visceral violence done so nonchalantly and hopelessly. Truly a horrifying thing to see
Bro I can't tell you how happy it makes me to finally see someone share my taste in horror... Especially movies like Creep, Hush and The Black Phone are sooo underrated :') AND you're a M Night Shyamalan appreciator?? You just got a new subscriber!
I remember working the night shift at the local Eldery Home and catching The Taking of Deborah Logan on TV. I thought it was a real documentary about Alzheimers at first, and when the movie was over I was more scared than I want to admit to traverse the halls of my workplace.
You need to rewatch The Babadook. To this day still my favorite horror movie along with Sinister, Hereditary and potentially Longlegs from this year. Babadook does everything so well
What I absolutely loved about the Taking of Deborah Logan is the guy who nopes out when things get creepy and isn't seen again. And of course, THAT scene. I loved Barbarian and Justin Long's performance. I'll be adding a bunch of these to my watchlist like Creep, Veronica, and Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum.
I love watching content like this. I definitely don't agree with everything 100%, but I can tell you've perfected your personal horror taste. You have so much respect for the genre and for that, you've got my respect/support. Super sick!
My favorites of each year basically mirror yours, I def like your horror taste. Great list here, there are some i havent seen yet that ill be sure to check out. FWIW, I'm a big fan of Robert Eggers dating back to The Witch. I think waiting until you're in the right headspace is a good call, and when you do watch it I bet you'll really like it.
Just some good horror movie recommendations that I think you would like, if you havent seen them already: - Annihilation (Its semi sci fi, but it has one scene that scared me more than most horror movies) - I saw the devil (Korean film. Very unique vengence plot with awesome gore) - The empty man (Very good horror concept about a supernatural entity) - The cure (Psychological crime drama with a hypnotic serial killer) - Lake Mungo (One of the best fake documentaries I've ever seen) - The cure for wellness (This movie has some fu*ked up scenes) - The Descent (If you dont have a fear of caves, you will after this movie) - The void (Cosmic horror with some amazing gross prosthetics) - Apostle (Idk if you've ever played "Outlast II", but its pretty much that the movie) Anyways have a good day man
i mean hereditary really deserves its popularity cuz its plot alone is so different and original, also the horror it gives is not as the same as we typically see in horror movies, so it is reasonable to be known in higher levels. plus it is also not usual these days to give praise to those underrated horror movies that really deserves to be known so hereditary is really that special.
I LOVE the Visit and think it’s very underrated, but in that list of popular movies you showed when you said you hadn’t seen a lot of them is “The Invitation” and I find that to be an EASY first place for 2015. If you haven’t seen it yet give it a try, Logan Marshall Green is a top 10 actor working right now! But If you have seen it and liked visit better, hats off to you! lol
I just rediscovered your channel.. at first i didn’t know why i was subscribing to you because i haven’t really been into movies much.. and i realized that you did the submechanophobia videos😂 i’m glad u got to 100k bro🙏
I really liked Hellraiser (2022). Plot is Mild, but the characters and acting is A+ I also love the execution of the Cenobites. Not necessarily a Remake but it counts as a reboot (that I don't think stuck). It's a good time for any horror fan!!
So far for me it’s been Lisa Frankenstein & yes yes it’s not too much of a horror movie but it’s so good. It’s so funny and entertaining I’m sitting there loving the visuals then all the sudden someone gets murdered. Then I think to myself “oh yeah this is a horror movie” like it’s not scary per say but it’s so well done and she’s so apathetic, I’ve always loved to see that in horror movies. I know this explanation is all over the place so oops. I highly recommend.
in 2021 my boyfriend and i had our first date in a completely empty movie theatre as well while watching a horror movie. cheers to your post covid relationship!
I was in a pretty bad mental space I 2021, very depressed and thinking of just ending things honestly. But one day my mom said, "Hey let's go to dinner and a movie tonight" and we saw The Black Phone and I loved it so much that I felt happy for the first time in a while. Might seem weird but sometimes movies can do that to you.
Bro, you making me look up where knock at the cabin door was filmed and holy shit…. I’m right there with you!! I had no idea it was filmed right here!! I drive past the ice cream shack on the way to the shore all the time.
Choosing the Visit over the VVitch is insaaaaaane!!! I definitely recommend you take the time to watch it. I personally think it should be enjoyed in the dark in total silence with no distractions. Amazing movie and introduced the horror in tasteful layers
1: thank u for actually bookmarking, that's really awesome.. 2: while it wasn't totally a horror movie "run" had incredible acting and was great from start to finish 3: cldnt agree with u more on both heredity amd mid summary.. I almost walked out of the theater watching the second one.. heredity was by far the scariest horror movie ie ever seen for the atmosphere.. just genuinely had hairs on neck stand up during that scene with the scream/cry 4: great vid!! ❤❤ def gonna chk out some of these ones.. hvnt heard of quite a few

I hate that Horror is never taken seriously for The Oscars. Toni Colette's acting in Hereditary was a masterclass.
everything in hereditary was masterclass. What couldnt it have won the oscar for?
A lot of people didn’t understand that the things in that movie, specifically the reaction of the son from his sisters death, it’s the most scientifically accurate reaction from a character like that. They did as much research as possible.

@@orestis103 the kid didnt die? what are you talking about lol
i used to love the babadook, i can see why people find it silly but the monster scared the shit outta me for the better part of 10 years. the effect is kind of wearing off now since i watched it with a friend who kept tearing it apart but to this day its still one of the best examples of great atmosphere building and scary fucking cinematography in horror.
1:20 allstimerz
when evil lurks is such a banger you also have to check out Terrified (2016) from the same director.
I would like to share some recommendations! I Saw the Devil, the first Blair Witch Project, Psycho (1960), 28 Days Later, and the silent film Häxan!
I was in college when I saw 'i saw the devil'.. i was terrified in the first 10ins and it just spiralled after that. Loved that movie for the longest time!
I absolutely love 28 days later, it’s honestly my favorite movie
Yeah the bone tomahawk scene has just scared me for life
My thing with Creep 2 as it being one of my favourites sequels of all time is that, now you know "Aaron" es a killer, there is no surprise like the first one, ant yet it goes deep and keep this new tension while we think "SIS GET OUT OF THERE HE IS A PSYCHO" that is built perfectly.
This channel has started to be my favorite on yt!
I love some open ending movies tbh because the debate on what happened with other people makes it fun
I'm really glad you mentioned Thanksgiving, that was one of if not my favorite slasher of all time. I just wish it was longer.
You’re such a genuine ray of sunshine of a human being. I wish more people were like you. Thank you for watching! ❤️
Thanks for these amazing videos man, I recently just started to get heavy into horror and I'm really enjoying your videos! Glad you liked Nope aswell its one of my favorites anytime I look into a cloud now it gets me thinking lmao, love jorden peele and can't wait to see what he does next!
Did blud forget about It Chapter 2
Just starting the video so I don’t know if it’s here, but I watched the wailing from you saying the movie was scary as hell, yeah you were right, one of my favorite horror movies
Can you imagine the sales pitch for Creep?
"So get this Mr. movie producer, there's a Man...''
"Go on"
"Well, whaddya think?"
orphan first kill was basically that one episode of law and order, but in movie form ✨it was still very good
I hardly ever comment or like videos but you had some of the best takes on horror movies I’ve ever heard, the movies that you said were your favorites that I had seen I completely agreed with and now I have about 15 movies i haven’t seen that I need to watch
Horror movies I like (that I watched or not watched) are run, smile, a quiet place day one, bird box.
I was watching cowboy movies to research sound design in modern westerns.
That one kill in Bone Tomahawk literally clouded my brain for half a year. It made me depressed for some reason. I've never seen such visceral violence done so nonchalantly and hopelessly. Truly a horrifying thing to see
It really is horrific
Bro I can't tell you how happy it makes me to finally see someone share my taste in horror...
Especially movies like Creep, Hush and The Black Phone are sooo underrated :')
AND you're a M Night Shyamalan appreciator?? You just got a new subscriber!
did u just say black phone dawg
@@ryanbhatt9814fr that movie is trash 😭
@@rachelgore6455it’s not 😂
I'm always happy to hear Midnight Mass get a mention. Such an awesome show I loved every second
crazy to say but I am so glad u are doing ads now bro you deserve that bag 😭😭
Also you HAVE to watch the Witch it’s incredible
I remember working the night shift at the local Eldery Home and catching The Taking of Deborah Logan on TV. I thought it was a real documentary about Alzheimers at first, and when the movie was over I was more scared than I want to admit to traverse the halls of my workplace.
90s to early 2000s is the best era for horror movies. change my mind.
You need to rewatch The Babadook. To this day still my favorite horror movie along with Sinister, Hereditary and potentially Longlegs from this year. Babadook does everything so well
Hell yeah, 35 minutes of amazing content!!!!
I love ur content and commentary, Im so down for a longer video like this one at the end of the year! :)
I love watching content like this. I definitely don't agree with everything 100%, but I can tell you've perfected your personal horror taste. You have so much respect for the genre and for that, you've got my respect/support. Super sick!
The Visit is my favorite all time, there’s something so dreadful about the situation I can’t even fathom it.
Just some good horror movie recommendations that I think you would like, if you havent seen them already:
- Annihilation (Its semi sci fi, but it has one scene that scared me more than most horror movies)
- I saw the devil (Korean film. Very unique vengence plot with awesome gore)
- The empty man (Very good horror concept about a supernatural entity)
- The cure (Psychological crime drama with a hypnotic serial killer)
- Lake Mungo (One of the best fake documentaries I've ever seen)
- The cure for wellness (This movie has some fu*ked up scenes)
- The Descent (If you dont have a fear of caves, you will after this movie)
- The void (Cosmic horror with some amazing gross prosthetics)
- Apostle (Idk if you've ever played "Outlast II", but its pretty much that the movie)
Anyways have a good day man
so good to hear someone talk about the empty man! watched that movie on a whim in broad daylight and it still creeped the absolute shit out of me 😂
i mean hereditary really deserves its popularity cuz its plot alone is so different and original, also the horror it gives is not as the same as we typically see in horror movies, so it is reasonable to be known in higher levels. plus it is also not usual these days to give praise to those underrated horror movies that really deserves to be known so hereditary is really that special.
the moment i saw hush, get out, and ready or not i already knew i was gonna like this list.
It's a good time for any horror fan!!
you weren't lying about that kill scene, so hard to watch
Yes! I loved the black phone. I went alone to the theater and hadn’t heard anyone’s opinions and was so confused when people didn’t like it.
We love you ❤ zeark you're videos never fail to put a smile on my face.
Did I just find a new channel? I’m obsessed, I love hearing people yap about things I love🫡
YAPPERS UNITE
So far for me it’s been Lisa Frankenstein & yes yes it’s not too much of a horror movie but it’s so good. It’s so funny and entertaining I’m sitting there loving the visuals then all the sudden someone gets murdered. Then I think to myself “oh yeah this is a horror movie” like it’s not scary per say but it’s so well done and she’s so apathetic, I’ve always loved to see that in horror movies. I know this explanation is all over the place so oops. I highly recommend.
in 2021 my boyfriend and i had our first date in a completely empty movie theatre as well while watching a horror movie. cheers to your post covid relationship!
creep is my #1 fav horror movie, it's so chilling how it's something that literally does happen a lot.
A spin off series of creep called the creep tapes has been confirmed! And another banger of a video let’s go
I was in a pretty bad mental space I 2021, very depressed and thinking of just ending things honestly. But one day my mom said, "Hey let's go to dinner and a movie tonight" and we saw The Black Phone and I loved it so much that I felt happy for the first time in a while. Might seem weird but sometimes movies can do that to you.
You’re my favourite TH-cam channel right now man
Thank you that means so much!
The Dark and the Wicked from 2020 was surprisingly good. Depressing but good.
Im happy that u said gonjiam:) one of my favorites ngl
If you liked Hush, watch Inside, one of my favorite horror movies ever and definitely the best home invasion movie.
i love watching your videos. keep up the good work and i cant wait till next week for another video.
1: thank u for actually bookmarking, that's really awesome..
2: while it wasn't totally a horror movie "run" had incredible acting and was great from start to finish
3: cldnt agree with u more on both heredity amd mid summary.. I almost walked out of the theater watching the second one..
heredity was by far the scariest horror movie ie ever seen for the atmosphere.. just genuinely had hairs on neck stand up during that scene with the scream/cry
4: great vid!! ❤❤ def gonna chk out some of these ones.. hvnt heard of quite a few
Loved the video! you should do a video about 2004-2014
Barbarians was awesome I completely 100.000% agree with you.
Hereditary is also my all time favourite horror movie. And you should find Nope another shot, it’s a straight up masterpiece in my opinion.
I just wanted to say real quick that this video is so entertaining, great work on the editing and I know you took so long to make it. I love ur vids keep it up ❤️
9:08 I was not expecting that brother 😅😅😅🤣
Great video…great takes. Talk to me and When Evil Lurks are both SO good you gotta see them.
the way i gasped when i saw you uploaded [ you and don’t look at me are my favorite youtubers, keep up the good work man ]
If you haven’t already definitely go check out evil dead rise. The movie is simple but man the kills in that movie are gnarly and some of the scenes are super creepy, definitely worth a watch.
Your videos are always top tier, keep it up brother!
