Audiences are now smart. They know which film deserve our attention to seat in actual theatre and spend money.
Since covid began, there has been a huge shift on how people like to spend there leisure time, specially on entertainment. Instead of going to a cinema hall, buying expensive food and wasting there almost 4hrs to watch a movie, people now prefer to entertain themselves at home with the food they like and have comfort. The majority of people will only step inside a movie hall if a movie is really-really exciting, provides over the tops action scene, or gives an other-worldly experience like Avatar. Otherwise, 2-3 machine me aa hi jayegi OTT pe, to faltu me ek picture ke liye kyo mai apne 200 rupay barbaad kru. Itte me Netflix aa jata hai, I can watch such films and TV shows for the whole month.

Actually people are just waiting for these cinemas for their ott release as these cinemas get released in the ott just after a month or so of their theatrical release. I think this made the audience more lineant about spending money and going to the theaters when they can easily watch these after few days with a monthly subscription plan.
Mid and light story movies should cast midium following actor and should directly release on ott or take chance by releasing in theatre but dont expect anything.

First we use to admire Akshay Kumar when he use to say about doing five films in a year and finishing each of them within 40 days but when we hear director, actors etc giving months and in some cases years to a project , it feels like Akshay Kumar not showing enough conviction for the huge amount he is getting paid for.

Pathan 2D price was 350Rs
Ant Man Quantumania 250Rs.
It's clearly evident price does have influence.

2) The prices of some movie tickets are too expensive so people dont buy and again they depend on OTT to watch Here Expensive is that 100-200 tickets are sold for 500-600
3) According to me web series and maybe in future anime are the future of indian entertainment
4) Bollywood is not living upto the people's expectations becoz out of maybe 10-20 movies 1-2 are good and rest are average or bad
5) Social media also plays an imp role coz even after the movie is good if its not viral like there is no hype for it people will not consider to watch it.

I don't think it's the time to try "hollywood" Movies, and firstly he needs someone to offer him, and secondly only SRK is a indian actors who was offered a main lead in a movie with leo di caprio around 20 years ago and you can do research about it, but later due to some problems srk rejected the movie because of few statement and promises he gave to indian cinema

The reason why South films are doing well is not only because of the cultural aspect but also because of heavy focus on visuals and not solely on stars eg. KGF, Pushpa, RRR and Kantara. The reason why films like Gangubai, The Kashmir files, and the recent Pathan were successful in the box office because of strong storyline, powerful and impactful visuals, followed by convincing performances. Solely depending on formulas, such as social issues, epics, action-spy, thrillers, Comedy masalas, nationalism and feminism will not lead the film to become successful.
