It is not about 4 films. He has been doing 4 films for so long...In 2007 Mega Superstar Akshay Kumar gave four Superhits... Namaste London, Hey Babyy, Bhool Bhulaiya and Welcome..They praised him then and said no Superstar in the history of Indian cinema has given 4 Superhits in the last 40 years or so...and in 2012 too he gave 3 Superhits...Rowdy Rathod, Housefull and Oh My God...and so on......He has given 4 Superhits in just 2019 before disastrous pandemic.... Kesari, Mission Mangal, Housefull 4 and Good Newzz.....and then opened and revived the dead Box office with 50 percent occupancy...and gave a fantastic Sooryavanshi...Even after 4 Superhits in 2019
....And all called him Saviour of Indian Box office....So it is not about Overexposure.........He should stop making intelligent films that are loved by class audiences...like Selfie...and go all out to do mass action films...as they are the ones that are working now...like KGF...Pushpa...RRR..even Pathan...and his own film Sooryavanshi...And no one can do actual action like Akki ...Get him in a mass action film...with an overpowering villian...and you have a major Blockbuster...The villian should be dominating..almost bigger than hero...like Sholay, Maharani iin Sadak...KGF, and like John Abraham in Pathan......Rana Dagubatti in Bahubali..can't imagine these movies without the villian....the bigger the villian the better the hit...Film people should know all this...

I think the major Selfie disadvantage has it's released date in the February month where exam's start's so students they get busy with studies and also their family don't prefer going outside to watch movies for their sake and also they don't get distracted with it, so my point is if audience is busy in exam tension how can people expect Akki selfie movie will hit 10crore or 6crore in box office one day

I think may be the reasons behind Akshay Kumar's back to back failures are:
Poor, easy script choice,
Fake patriotism in reel and real life both,
3-4 movies in a year ( Aren't people tired to see his upcoming movies after every 2-3 months??) ,
Zubaan Kesari (I don't think I have to elaborate that much in this topic),
And so on...
Btw from my childhood I loved this man and I'm still in love with his acting in Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Khatta Meetha, Hera Pheri series and also other late 2000s movies.

Regarding Akshay Kumar, i have an opinion. No actor is finished with one year bad . People should not forget that it was Akshay Kumar who gave the first blockbuster after covid with film - Sooryavanshi (2021). These things happens with every big superstar, not a big deal. Let me give u eg -
• Ranveer Singh - Last clean hit came in 2019 with Gully Boy
• Hrithik - Last Hit came in 2019 as War
• Srk - Last CLEAN hit before Pathan (2023) was Chennai Express in 2013
• Aamir - Last Clean hit Dangal in 2016
• Salman - Last clean hit was Tiger Zinda hai in 2017.
But Akshya Kumar is doing one mistake that he is doing too many films every year, which loses interest among audience. In 2022, he appeared in total 6 films , in 5 film as lead hero & in one as cameo. Even though in last year, Rakshabandhan and Ram Setu were actually a good films . But they tanked at the box office bcos of following reasons -
• Rakshabandhan = Bcos of film writer Kanika Dhillon who made derogatory remarks & tweets on Sanatana Dharma.This triggered everyone.
• Ram Setu = It released just 1.5 months after Rakshabandhan. Had it been released with a gap of atleast 6 months, it would have been a hit.
By the way both of these movies have fantastic viewership on OTT & television.
Regarding Akshay, I strongly feel that he should now take a break and come to screen only in 2025, with Hera Pheri 3 at starting of the year and with Bade Miya Chote Miya at the end of the year. And for these two movies, he must also do self advance booking in order to boost the hype. And from there onwards, he must do 2-3 films per year. Pattern can be like this - 1st Year = 1- 2 Films & 2nd Year = 1- 3 Films. And till that time, he needs to take a break from social media completely & he should do PR & publicity in media & social media with dropping hints about the movies, nostalgia about him & also about his good works which he has done for the society and India like launching Bharat ke Veer app, supporting Army widows, helping girls in learning self defense etc. And he actually does a lot of work & probably more than many of the Bollywood stars. And he is actually a nice persons
