Earlier people wanted him to do movies every year, now they feel a content saturation due to OTT platforms, that's why they don't want to see him again and again. His movies aren't bad, they're the same as earlier, however neither do his movies have the masala to make them pan-India, nor do they have the effect of making them cinematic masterpieces. Now he is also reliant of the Cop Universe by Rohit Shetty to get super-hit films.

Overflowing leads to downfall, whether it is good or bad films. I recently watched selfie and despite it being a decent one time watch, the film failed miserably at BO.

I think the audience’s last straw with Akshay was when he refused to grow a moustache for the period epic “Samrat Prithviraj”. We have seen how dedicated actors have been for historical films & in portraying these personalities, spending years on one project, but Akshay couldn’t even be bothered to grow a moustache. He is known for his discipline & that ball was dropped with this one. He needs to gain the audience’s favour again, not sound the same in every role, and show that he cares.

I think a major reason for audience's current indifference towards him because of his open political stance..alienating fans like myself..a major factor that has effected Kangana Ranaut too. Baby and Pathaan both are same genre movies... 1 is masterpiece and another is below average content, but BO game is different for these two movies.. Akshay Kumar acted superbly in Raksha Bandhan, Raamsetu and Mission Raniganj but unfortunately not fared good at BO. He is a legend who acted in films with taboo subjects like sanitary pad and toilet. No other A listed actor can ever think off doing such subjects. He will surely bounce back and with a bang..

One thing that Akshay Kumar should definitely do is reduce his fees or, take zero fees and take part in profit sharing. His films have a really high budget, which is another reason they are struggling to break-even. Ex. Ram Setu's collections weren't bad, but due to high budget it is considered a flop.

I think the audience’s last straw with Akshay was when he refused to grow a moustache for the period epic “Samrat Prithviraj”. We have seen how dedicated actors have been for historical films & in portraying these personalities, spending years on one project, but Akshay couldn’t even be bothered to grow a moustache. He is known for his discipline & that ball was dropped with this one. He needs to gain the audience’s favour again, not sound the same in every role, and show that he cares.
