      My Angel fish have just laid eggs. I want to know how long do you have to wait until you can remove them. I mean how long does it take for the male to fertilise them?

    • @YowieDan
      @YowieDan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I removed the eggs, and I have at least 10 small baby Angel Fish wriggling around. I used water from the tank and methylene blue and aerator. All good so far. First time breeding Angel Fish. Fingers Crossed.

    Woah!!! You got them to hatch without heating the water? I’m afraid I fried the eggs at 85 degrees F what do you think?

    Does the air pump give the eggs breaks with a timed schedule. I’m new to this and I want to know if I should do that

    I used Methelynblue when im hatching the egg also but those egg who didt get fertilizer get white ofc .but its hard to remove them when the eggs have been hatched. so how can I remove those white egg cause they start to be fungus and is it dangerous for my baby angelfish?

    • @breetaylor4586
      @breetaylor4586 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      White eggs don't always mean un-fertile, fertile eggs can become white if they get infected (from fungi, parasites, or from something else). Infected eggs can degrade and rot, and sometimes form colonies like mold that spread to nearby eggs and wipe the rest out. One natural parenting instinct for angelfish is to observe their eggs and remove eggs that are showing signs of degradation which is pretty cool, though sometimes they don't get them all or they don't catch a spread fast enough. If you're artificially raising them, you need to keep a lookout for eggs that go bad and remove them. Even once they hatch, until they are free-swimming fry, I'd recommend removing bad eggs and trying to maintain a sanitary environment around the eggs or wiggler larvae.

    How would I get the eggs off of a *round* heater?

    • @enni_p
      @enni_p 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a late anwer, but I used thin tube (small diameter) to suck the eggs to small container maybe medium sized pipette could work too.

    What should I do if they lay eggs on the glass? Can you extract the eggs safely into a jar or something?

    hey I don't have an air stone my angle lay eggs tuesday I did put methylene blue will they still hatch I'm seeing a lot of white eggs and it looks sought of cobweb like any advice

    • @Mimi-fr8gf
      @Mimi-fr8gf 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      White eggs are dead eggs and the cobweb is fungus. Air-stone will help with oxygen which in turn help prevents fungus to form.

    My water TDS is 270 .
    Earlier my angel laid eggs and the hatching rate was very less .
    Now if I remove the eggs from my parental tank to RO water jar after the parents spawn / fertile the eggs .
    Will the eggs hatch?

    Late question, how do you keep the water on temperature???? Does it matter with the eggs/fry or not? If anyone knows let me know!!

    • @Mimi-fr8gf
      @Mimi-fr8gf 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ideally the temperature should be kept between 80-82f. At this temperature you’ll find the eggs hatch sooner. If kept at cooler temperature it will take longer for them to hatch. Now, finding a heat small enough to fit a small jar is hard. What u can do is putting the jar inside a tray or container filled with water and put a heater in it. The jar will slowly heat up and so will the water in it.
