Check out this video on how to install filters safe for your angelfish fry when raising the fry away from parents after hatching them on your own. th-cam.com/video/nqTnSv3rjYA/w-d-xo.html
Hi, I didn't understand what you said/did with your air stone. I have my air stone inside the sponge filter attached to the clear hose which is attached to the pump. My bubbles are not as nice and fine as yours, what can I do different?? And is that all I need to ensure that my sponge filter is connected properly.
My golden angels are spawning for the first time (my first time, too!). You videos are terrific. You are inspiring me to get a fry tank, and have a thriving community like you showed. Thanks again.
When doing water changes with wigglers and small fry, place a small knee high or footie panty hose over the intake part of the syphon hose and secure with a rubber band or zip tie, to prevent sucking up the fry. I used to do this with my guppy fry and it really saved accidental losses. you don't get much detritus but you do remove the bad water effectively. you can use a turkey paster to remove large pieces of detritus by hand if needed.
Congratulations! Mine layed eggs and she was keeping them in the mouth. I’m new too this so I let them in the mothers mouth. I didn’t know what to do. So I guess she ate them…😢😢😢 I was so excited, until I read your video. I’m so sad. But thanks for all the informations said. Helping to do it the right the next time. I’m so excited now that I hear your video. Blessings too you and yours!
Thanks for this video. I really relate. My grand fish kept getting eaten by their parents!! They cost tooo much so I said NO MORE. Taking your advice. Fingers crossed!!😎😎
Well I'm totally new to angelfish breeding and quite by accident too. It kinda happens when you add more angels to your tank and at least one is female. I found this video quite informative. Fingers crossed
Thank you! Ive been searching for your slate for days! It doesn't show up in google searches. Thank you again. Love your videos! They are very helpful!!!
not into breeding angelfish or anything like that, but we have a few number of angelfish in the tank since a year or so and they just laid around 50-60 eggs and as everyone we didn't know what to do with them either. This video was a lot of help to me, to get an overall idea of this situation. Thank you.
Hi master aquatics, it's john b from manchester england, again. I've watched all your video's now and am up to date. I'm enjoying watching your progress. I will be following you from now on. Love angelfish. Used to have some when i was younger. Love the shape of them and the way they move. They can be a bit aggressive though. I bought a couple of larger one's and the female ate all my new small neon tertras the little bugger ! And then proceeded to lay eggs. Got rid of it eventually but haven't given up on the idea of trying again now that I am older and wiser. Good luck with your fish. Looking forward to watching your fry and your channel grow. Maybe you could consider puting a black card background onto the outside back of your tanks to make it easier for people to be able to see your fish better ! ? Enjoy your day. ☺ 🐠.
Great video. I have raised angels using an AquaClear power filter instead of the sponge filter. It works very well as long as you use a sponge filter over the intake tube. The sponges are available at pet stores like Petsmart etc.
Great helpful video Master Aquatics, thanks! I've just put a load of eggs into a "nursery tank" and am hoping to get a reasonable hatch. The pair that laid these eggs today have laid 4 lots of eggs already but always eat them all the same night as they lay them so hopefully I will be at last able to raise a brood from this pair.
What do you feed them after the wiggler stage? I've heard you can boil an egg and break the yolk into small pieces for them to feed on but is there anything else I can feed them?
Hi please I need help I know u didn't use methylene blue but I have angelfish one of my angels laid eggs 2 times 1st time she ate them!! 2nd time I took them out and put them in a small beta fish tank but they all turned white I lost them all again !! So my question is if I use methylene blue should I leave it till the eggs hatch or not and when they do hatch what should I do ? please please I really need a answer !!!
My orange Angel fish just layed eggs and Ive had her about 2 or 3 years with no other Angel Fish. I immediately seperated the eggs still on the tube into a nursery net but will they hatch with NO male around ?
Hi have anels that laid eggs I put n tank and air bubble what do they look like on day two....and three ..what do I put n tank to ensure they live .my first time and some white now look white with holes
I had to separate my wigglers and they were attached to a big house in my aquarium. So I just put the house in the breeder tank and let them hatch from there. I have about 15 or 16 babies . I’m afraid to take the house out now and put it back in its original aquarium. You said you get anxious wow do I! Does it hurt to have something in the tank while they grow ?
They were probably a pair before the one died and after that the angelfish layed the eggs but that doesn’t mean they’re fertilized. The male brushes up against the eggs to fertilize them. Unless it was the female that died, there’s your answer. Otherwise, that angelfish has broken the laws of nature.
Any opinions on how to best raise them after free swimmers? I can keep them alive for more than a couple days. 10gal tank 2 spong filters and I feed twice daily first bites. Wth ?? What am I doing wrong ?
I have a problem, my angelfish laid eggs on the side of the glass. I didn't think they would survive. But I looked and they are wriggles in a community tank. My pair are protecting them what do I do
hey Master Aquatics I did not notice I had eggs but also how did you move the eggs to another tank please help me I didn’t even notice these eggs and these happened on accident because I just never noticed these eggs so I just noticed these and I need to know how you moved them and they hatched on the filters little tube tell me how you pleaseee moved them I just need to know because this happened unexpectedly
Do heater mandatory for hatching?.. Please advice.. My angel layed eggs many times and they eat.. But this time they protecting it.. But i dont have heater
I bought an angelfish and found out she was pregnant a few days later. She hasn’t laid her eggs yet. I was planning to place the fry in a separate tank. I don’t have a male angelfish. Does a male have to be present in order for the eggs to live and hatch?
As far as water PM goes, I just kept the temp. at 80, and the water clean. Feed them 3 servings a day, of flakes, blood worms, and mysis shrimp. Doing a water change will encourage them to spawn. They will still lay eggs weekly even if you do not do these things, but you can get more eggs if you feed them well and also get them to lay eggs a few days early.
hi where did the u purchase the green slate from ??? and if u have a link would be good.... i have a castle ornament in mine and its hard to transfer each time thanks
My eggs are a mix of white and normal eggs, but after 4 days, they covered in fuzz......is that normal? this is my first batch in a breeding only 37g tank. need your input!!!!!
Hi my angels laid eggs on filter not sure how long was there..I moved to another tank same water from my tank and bubble stone...they were clear..now white some on bottom of tank ..been going on day 3 thier fisrt that I have seen...what do I do now
Great Video, my Angel's ate their eggs on 3 occasions. The 4th batch I cut the leaf that they laid them on and put them in a 2 gallon tank so I could watch them more carefully. It's only been 2 days and all of the eggs look Milk White. Does this mean they are all duds? Do I need to dump them and wait till the next batch? What say you? Thanks 👍🏽
Hey Shelton, Thanks for watching one of my old videos. If they are all white, it could mean the male, did not fertilize the eggs, or you might have two females laying eggs. I have a video, that explains how to tell males and females apart. Also, sometimes, it can take anywhere from 1 to 20 times of egg laying, for the male to learn how to correctly fertilize the eggs. Nice video man!! I have 85 gallons and i have 3 Angeles fish,2 leaf fish and i big Oscar. My angels fish always laid eggs turn white and next thing you know they're gone. They always laid eggs on my Power Head and the tubing. Why is this happening and why is not hatching. What should i do? Thanks!
Question: My brother & I are new to this. Our angels have had 4 batches of eggs & from the first 3, we have 7 survive. We do everything you and others say to do. We don't know what we're doing wrong. Right now, we have new eggs in their own tank. We had to remove a few white eggs as all suggest, only to find more the next morning. I did take time to remove them but had to move a lot of the good eggs around in the process. When looking with a magnifying glass, those left all seemed to have what looked like "eyes" forming inside and we thought we were all clear, with viable eggs. Later the next morning, there were more white ones! We have methylene blue in the water, a current with a bubble stone, & a sponge filter. The only thing I can think of is the water temperature. It hovers around 80-82. Can you give some advice? Thanks.
Question: WHAT IS THE GREEN THING CALLED? (a slate??like as in slate stone or what) and where can we get one? the only pet place nearby is petsmart & I've never seen a "slate" for breeding there?? Help please, because our marble angels keep spawning on our filter and as soon as they become free swimmers fly right into in and get shredded.. I need them to spawn on something I can remove & put into our breed tank. Thankx in advance

Thanks, it is really cool! Why does the tank need to be bare and no gravel? Thanks.
What do you feed them after the wiggler stage? I've heard you can boil an egg and break the yolk into small pieces for them to feed on but is there anything else I can feed them?
Thanks for everything 😘

Don't separate eggs until the become fertile by the male.
I have a mating pair of angel fish and I would like to know where you got that green slate? I have not been able to find it anywhere.
did you ever find it?
Ebay
@@seekingserenity1209 what do you call them?
Do you take the adult fishes out and leave the slate in the water or do you take the slates out and transfer it into a tank and will it harm them.
Nice congratulations
This video helped me alot!!
very cool! just getting into breeding angels. Thanks for the tips! I Subbed as well!

Let me know if this helps! :)

Will we have to feed the babies of the angel fish after hatching???? .... Pls help!!!
2 weeks ago my angel fish died now I only have 1 left on my tank.
There's eggs on the floor.
I haven't a Scooby doo what to do. Help
They were probably a pair before the one died and after that the angelfish layed the eggs but that doesn’t mean they’re fertilized. The male brushes up against the eggs to fertilize them. I’m lost what is that green thing ?? And where did you get it from
Will the eggs stick to just about anything if I transfer them from main tank to nursery tank with a turkey baster?
I have a problem, my angelfish laid eggs on the side of the glass. I didn't think they would survive. But I looked and they are wriggles in a community tank. My pair are protecting them what do I do
Kell separate them...
hey Master Aquatics I did not notice I had eggs but also how did you move the eggs to another tank please help me I didn’t even notice these eggs and these happened on accident because I just never noticed these eggs so I just noticed these and I need to know how you moved them and they hatched on the filters little tube tell me how you pleaseee moved them I just need to know because this happened unexpectedly
Do heater mandatory for hatching?.. Please advice.. My angel layed eggs many times and they eat.. But this time they protecting it.. But i dont have heater
Can you explain how did you feed your 1,2 days old fry and how to keep them alive
So if you take the eggs out of the tank and put them in a new tank how do you put the eggs on the slate?
When moving the eggs to another tank, can it be out of the water while doing the transfer?
Thomas Riley yes, but try not to have them out of the water longer than 30 seconds
What do you feed to frys?
I bought an angelfish and found out she was pregnant a few days later. She hasn’t laid her eggs yet. I was planning to place the fry in a separate tank. I don’t have a male angelfish. Does a male have to be present in order for the eggs to live and hatch?
Is that a ro water? Where the slate stays first 3days?
Where did you get the green slate can't find that anywhere
What about water parameters? How do induce or "help" the pair to lay eggs? Any special food?
As far as water PM goes, I just kept the temp. at 80, and the water clean. Feed them 3 servings a day, of flakes, blood worms, and mysis shrimp. Doing a water change will encourage them to spawn. Joseph Dicesare if they are covered in fuzz the eggs are dead
i think you are right. what should i do; just have the parents eat the pile, or should i remove the dead mess of eggs/
Awesome video! How do you sell em?
What food do we have to give to baby fish? Will daphne work? And after how many days feeding have to be given to baby fish?
Hi my angels laid eggs on filter not sure how long was there..I moved to another tank same water from my tank and bubble stone...they were clear..now white some on bottom of tank ..been going on day 3 thier fisrt that I have seen...what do I do now
Where do you get the green thing that they lay eggs on?
What do you feed the baby fish?

How did you get your slate to hold the eggs
Do you fill the fry tank with tap water or tank water?

Where did you buy them slates?
Can I put Angel eggs in a incubator where the the angels parents are at
What do you feed your fry on ?

I've just become a first time angel fish breeder I've taken as many tips from your video as I could just hope it all works out 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Thank you. But when did the frys start eating?
Nice video man!! I have 85 gallons and i have 3 Angeles fish,2 leaf fish and i big Oscar. My angels fish always laid eggs turn white and next thing you know they're gone. They always laid eggs on my Power Head and the tubing. Why is this happening and why is not hatching. What should i do? Thanks!
It's very possible you just have two females. If every single egg turns White that's a pretty good indication you have two females.
Where did you buy the thing for your fish lay eegs on ?
am also interested to know where those green things are from please
Have you ever had one or two fish make it when eggs turn white ? I see one wiggler
Heater, oxigen pump, and filter all this are on for 24 hours or only day time?
Very helpful, done well!
Awesome video I just subbed I did this before too it s so cool
