Bundesliga games like this don’t come around very often. There were a whopping nine goals in the meeting between Leverkusen and Wolfsburg. Heung-Min Son’s hat trick wasn’t enough as Bas Dost had the game of his life and went one better: His four-goal haul ensured three points for VfL, with a last-second strike earning the visitors a 5-4 win!!!

If you mean underrated like his rating in fifa that is down to teams. If he was at Bayern or PSG or Barca, real or Man City and Chelsea he would be at 84+ rating.

He gave away a goal and scored three (one was a bit iffy but oh well) I'm pretty sure managers would much prefer wingers who don't cost the team goals because there is no way they are going to have an impact going forward every single match, yet every mistake going back hurts a teams title hopes (and he is prone to more errors like the one in this game).
***** I think Januzaj gets more hype than Son not because of nationality but because of the clubs that they play for. Premier League clubs and players get treated like they're all the best in the world even though like half of the teams would get relegated if they played in the Bundesliga. People automatically assume that Man United players are better than Leverkusen players.

i think this is one of the most exciting match in the history of bundesliga..2 player got a hattrick, an amazing touch from dost 2nd goal, Son revived the game in the 2nd half and last minute goal from dost again...almost a come back for leverkusen.. huge applause to both team..

The guys from sky (and other sources later) showed it over and over again and it is very clear that Benaglio has a hand on the ball already when Son touches the ball, which makes the ball "locked" and the goal irregular. Even a former ref and most neutral professionals said that after the game. In the end, it doesn't even matter, because Wolfsburg still won ;).

Bundesliga is underrated by many. If you look at facts, our last 4 teams have made it past the group stages, more than any other league, we have done this since the last 3 years. Our teams (BVB beat a club more than 10X richer, and Bayern winning the title the most from Bundesliga. All I got to say is this league is amazing and deserves more respect than its getting. Anyone else noticed it was 2 min and 58 sec of extra time so it was literally 2 seconds left!
I happened to tune into this game on a random weekend, not knowing the absolute fireworks it would produce. I had read about Dost's goal-scoring run leading up to this match - and which continued - and I didn't know who Son was yet (as was the case with most of the soccer world outside of Germany). A legendary game - scintillating football all around!
