Anthem is probably the fastest I've ever had a game break completely one me, where objectives in the very first mission would take several minutes to update, and a combat room didn't update and locked me in.
It is so incredibly funny to me that Ray Chase landed a gig as the main character's voice actor for BioWare's big new IP and he talked about it on Twitter precisely, like, once. Absolutely surreal to hear his voice in this game, not used to Noctis being in a mech. Edit: maybe you should give Mass Effect: Andromeda a chance. Gunplay and combat in that game is legitimately a blast. I think that game gets a lot more shit than it deserves in general - it's not perfect, it's pretty obviously unfinished, but it's also good. I think.
So I played this game at launch and you couldn't access the Forge while out on a mission back then, it's why that equip screen looks unfinished, they probably added it in a later patch. Also Andromeda plays similarly to this, the gameplay is not what people disliked about that game.
Funny thing, the customization is actually one of the best parts of Anthem, and not in a "backhanded complement" kind of way. All of the options you had were a part of the base game, which I remember as I, unfortunately, preordered the game and played on launch. It, like the flight, is just wasted on this game. Also, there's been a few developments regarding Destiny 2 since a recent community post from Bungie. It has a lot of nice things, but time will tell if they commit or not.

This game has a very Channel Awesome movie energy, in that all of its design decisions have terrible or weird stories behind.
