Hi There My mums recliner has an external transformer and both the transformer indicator light is flashing and the armrest LED is flashing. whereas the normal condition is a constant light on both. It’s a timotion unit on a single motor lazzboy, that now doesn’t operate at all. Any idea what fault the flashing light indicates as it’s not mentioned in the manual. I’ve had the switch and connectors apart, no physical faults that I haven’t already fixed. I can hear a faint click in response to the switch operation, which I assume is an actuator, but no movement. even looked for a reset, but found none. Thanks for any guidance.
We have a power recliner that has a problem with the footrest, it no longer lifts when the back reclines. We used to hear a spring click and then it gradually started to rise but this no longer happens. Any ideas as to what is causing this will be gratefully welcomed. Thank you
Hi, I have an HSL recliner. There is power to the handset but no buttons work. I suspect someone tried reclining too close to the wall and perhaps burnt something out. Neither motor works so I guess the control unit is the issue ( I would have thought at least one motor would work?). What do you think? Cheers
At 09:00 you wiggle the cable and suggest replacing the controller. My wife's chair is having this problem, is there a way to dismantle the controller to take a look inside. Replacements are the best part of £100. Thanks for the video.
Hi m8, my mates mum sliced the controller lead, on the timotion, from the actuator to the to the control box, 8 pronged any chance you could send her one?
Hi mate any ideas, put new handset on a sherborne touch stop 2 motor ,old handset was working fine but held together with tape. New handset which is the same handset from sherborne flickers when plugged in and the chair stops and starts when reclining or lifting, put the old handset back on and it works fine, i have another chair which is the same and put the new handset on and it works fine? Any ideas please.
@@tomjacques4 I have tried a reset including taking batteries out of transformer but still no joy 3 times, do you think it could be the old transformer causing the issue, new transfer maybe?
@@chrislane2075 if the old handset was working f and the new one ain’t then maybe a faulty handset have you fully inserted the plug also have you tried the on and off switch at the back of the handset

@Kyler Morgan i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and I'm in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Well described with clear instructions

My chair comes up but not coming down pls help
Could be a controller or handset issue
Hi boss my chair will go up but not back down
Could be faulty handset if it’s a dual motor swap the motor connections and try again.
i just bought one and it was spliced, I didnt realize it was dc I sent 110 ac to it
Fault could also be coming from 1 of 2 micro switches in the pushrod assembly...
Cosmic Fugue yes there are a couple of micro switches in said shaft. Seen one faulty one in 15 years.
Exactly. I have a two seater electric couch and have already had 2 limit switches, one in each seat, go bad and they are not easy to replace.
@@vernon6130 Yep... I know because I've already replaced 3.
@@Initial_Gain How do you source the limit switches? I cannot locate ones with the right switch height.
