@@liftoffandtravel I am flying Swiss from LHR-ZRH-JNB, next month/First from ZRH-JNB, on the A340- first time I will be flying with Swiss. ( South African to CPT ). Although not part of one world, I have a newly created account on LH group for the Swiss Air flights. Eva Air, Vietnam Airlines and Singapore's J class looks appealing. ( I have flown jal and cx a number of times and enjoyed their premium cabins ) It would also be nice to fly the 747 one more time before they all become parked vehicles in a desert.
@@liftoffandtravel despite the various comments from people over the years about the aircraft being old/outdated, it still has that retro appeal. I am looking forward to both the quick business class flight LHR-ZRH, as well ( especially ) as the longer ZRH-JNB first class journey- very spacious looking seats/Suites, and the service, meals and amenities appear to be great. ( hopefully, I can experience the terminal E/International First lounge between flights- I have two hours before the flight to JNB ) hope to see you in an airport one day; that would be nice to meet the person behind the videos!
@@jimbohr totally agree. I recently ended up on BAs old 777 in First and the nostalgia and the blue windows was lovely. Would probably pick the 787 over it though now I've been on it.
Star alliance gold is awesome to have. Lounge access while flying star alliance member flights in any class. Priority check in, security, boarding etc. additional checked bags as well. Very well produced video, keep up!
@@ryvensonic999 not sure if you are familiar with other airline groups but Gold with Lufthansa seems hard to achieve than silver with One World. As a result I've only managed to get silver. @@liftoffandtravel First with LH is still on my list. But at the moment I wait for a new hard product on LH planes. A few LH aircrafts already have the new Allegris Cabin. But they only offer this to North American destinations.
@@marten.travelling.11 that's true, not exactly sure how long it will take. British Airways is still rolling out Club Suite and it's been 5 years 😕 I would suggest trying the old one if you can because it is still pretty incredible. I admit I was surprised how much I liked it.
nice video, a quick comment from a video professional: it would be a great improvement if you would pay more attention to audio mixdown - right now the music is just "bang loud" whenever your voice over stops. a soft gradient fade in / fade out would be appreciated for headphone users
I think once more planes are outfitted with the privacy first class seats, this will be a better first class. Right now, personally, a first class seat that offers less privacy than business class while costing at least €1000 more, is a tough sell.
@@lg206 can't wait to see the new First Class. No current plans to try their new Business but it's very heavily on the USA routes. Exciting times ahead. Agreed €1000 is a big lump but I figured when would I get to try this again and the space is incredible. Plus it was 14hrs ⌚
Interestingly Swiss is currently having issues because of the weight of their new First Class product. Unless the article wasn't true I was surprised to see they are putting it on their A330s
