    Great video! Another quick tip is right-clicking (control-click mac) the I/O on tracks and auxes allows you to rename your busses to "DRUMS" instead of "Bus 1-2" so routing is easier to keep track of.

    Cate has been that lady who can teach the simplest of the simplest things which most of those big time composers miss on, and very effectively in an understandable manner. I can quote the videos like stems, how to do Background film mixing and their challenges and many for that matter. She is so simple and humble enough to understand any project and is wide open to the world asking for reviews and feedback even for her personal website which she herself designed.
    I really love the way she handles the Music and Teaching.
    Cheers,
    JG

    Thumbs up to you! Is there a way to solo safe two aux tracks at the same time? Thank you.

    • @CatoNoise
      @CatoNoise  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! Hrm, I don't know if there is a way to solo safe two at once: I always just use that command clicking shortcut. I'm not in front of the computer right now, but maybe if you held shift or option in addition to clicking while you have multiple track nameplates highlighted? Or if you group the tracks? Although, that might cause more annoyance later on than it's worth, and something tells me those modifier keys wouldn't work for this function for some reason - but I'm not sure if I've ever tried it! I'll have to try it out; let me know if you figure it out, cheers!

    Quick question. Let's say you have several AUX tracks. For example, one for drums, one for vocals, and one for guitars, and each AUX track is in solo safe mode. Then 1 more AUX track that is a master mix bus to which the drum, vocal and guitar aux's feed and it is also in solo safe mode. In other daw's with this setup you can solo the AUX tracks. In Protools 2022, this doesn't seem to work. If you try and solo an AUX track that is in solo safe mode (for example say you want to hear just the drums and guitars through those two AUX tracks) it doesn't work. I guess you can just use the backwards approach and mute the AUX tracks you don't want to hear. That gives you the same result but takes more steps. What am I missing?

    • @CatoNoise
      @CatoNoise  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, that's kind of how it is. I'll sometimes either mute the aux tracks I don't want to hear, like you suggested. Or, I'll also group the original audio/instrument tracks based on instrument and then solo those by clicking solo on one of them. It's not the best, but does the same thing.
