Quick question, im looking to purchase a 2019 cadillac ct6 sport with the 3.0tt engine. There asking 32k with 67k miles. In your opinion is this a reliable car that could possibly last to 200k miles with proper maintenance?
@@colbydawson8763 I honestly don’t know if I would say 200k can it be a reliable car sure depending how it is treated and how it is maintained but I hate to say it todays society is a throw away mentality and the car manufacturers treat it that way do I think it is doable yeah but I also think you will run into some issues along the way this is purely my opinion and I don’t have any hard evidence to back it up but the 3.0tt is definitely a fun car thank you for checking out the channel and I appreciate the support! 🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍👍
@bought2build appreciate the response! The channel is awesome! Just trying to find a nice reliable car for long daily commutes for my new job. If I'm gonna pay over 500 plus a month for a newer car I want it to be something I enjoy driving. My only concern is the car does have a little over 67k miles.
@@colbydawson8763 my ct6 3.0tt is exactly 67k miles now. To be honest it's not a reliable car, in the past one year, I had a problem with ACC, replaced the engine hood support and have to replace a MRC suspension now. None of them was expensive fix cause I bought used parts. But make sure you prepare for that. I still keep it because it's the last American luxury sedan
Do or did your tranmission do hard shifts from 1st to 2nd gear at very low speed?? Im having that problem. When im pulling off really slow at sometime shift hard to second gear.
I have this car as well, mine is the 2016 CT6 Platinum. I love the car but I too have this same issue. Honestly, these transmissions in these cars are terrible. The 8 speeds they used from 2016-2019 all have some kind of issue and its mostly with the hard shifting. GM is aware of the problem and a class action lawsuit was filed but I don't know what has come of that since as that was years ago. I have had it in the shop to correct the issue and they've done some software updates and what not but they basically say they cant find anything wrong with it. If you do some research on it, you will see many others have the same problem we do. I want to upgrade to the 2020 Platinum anyway and they use a different transmission in those. They switched to the 10 speed in the newer cars and they are much better than the 8's. Good luck my friend GM doesnt have a fix for this nor do they want to and its a shame for a car this expensive.
thank you for the info! and yeah I mean honestly tho the fact they have an issue and don't want to deal with it makes me not want to buy another one which is a shame because I do love the car. it is weird if I beat on it and drive it hard it is usually fine it is only when I am driving it easy I notice it
@bought2build exactly. I'm still going to take it in tho just to make sure they can't do anything about it because I don't want to be stuck with a bad tranmission when my warranty runs out lol

How are you liking it now? Any other maintenance issues or expensive costs? Is it reliable? Thinking of a 2017 CT6.
