I'm middle aged, I'm in the UK and i don't know why this popped up in my feed..... But it's bloody brilliant. The music is good and the Lady is incredible.
@@Rockr69747 I think 7n answered your question since he's a poster from Great Britain. Or what do you think the GB stamp at the end of his comment stands for?
The distinctive styles of many modern-day American country, bluegrass and folk music can be traced directly back to the 18th century Ulster-Scots (Scotch-Irish).
I’m over in the UK here and been listening to Bluegrass since I was 6 or 7 my dad was always listening to it, he was a truck driver and so am I now, it does make the miles skip by a bit easier. This is the America I love hands down and I would dearly hope to get over one day and experience it first hand.
@@KB-ke3fi My grandfather was mandolin player for a square dance and country band. There's plenty of this happening up here in the north - you just need to know where to go!
I hear the fast, I see the smooth, and my brain cannot bring it together in a meaningful way. That's magic with dance and sound. Absolutely incredible.
I don't consider myself a country fan but I do enjoy these old timey bluegrass tunes. It's like going back in time to when my ancestors probably played these songs or danced to them.

She is excellent! Have watched her over the years and when she was teaching online a bit. She is even greater than before and absolutely LOVE those ''shoes'' and the'' color'' and wish i had the exact ones. I think the heal is about the right size or height for that sound needed. Great musicians and she can keep right up with the best.
Love that buckdancing, especially the triumphant gestures near the end where Ms. Moonshine really hit her straps (2.06). She felt it, hell we all did. Here in the land of Oz where 60% of the population is obese or overweight, we should all be queuing up to learn this stuff, so we can get in shape like Moonshine. The biggest problem might be rounding up a bluegrass outfit to provide the music.
@Miss Moonshine Dance & Music I'm working on that. It's been several years since I slept 8 hours regularly every night. That sounds like good advice. I'm glad that you are able to accomplish this as part of your routine. I need to get that re-established into my routine!
@@davidjackson4806 oh, I see your mistake, you're thinking Wizard of Oz, but I'm in Oz, as in Australia, where we have didgeridoo bands. Quite different sound and rythm, not much good for buckdancing.
Wow! I still remember that back in the mid 70's friends of mine would get together and play bluegrass along with some cloggers, both ladies and guys and put on what a show. That was just outside Roanoke Virginia. They played fast and faster but with such clarity and accuracy. This video reminds me of those days.
How does anyone not love bluegrass? We used to go to a little bar back in the early 70s by USF that had bluegrass bands every Sunday night. Miss Moondance is incredible and the band is too!!@
As other's have said the term 'Bluegrass' wasn't yet being used, but fiddle music Banjo and clogging is much older bought to the Appalachians by English settlers.
The incongruity of the two young girls walking past such talent and fun, and not even smiling!? Wonderful dancing wonderful music, they can sure pick a tune! Very happy music!
Fantastic! The music and her clogging were the definition of synchronicity. Watching the young people (girls) walking by and not even taking a minute to watch her or listen to the band - if it doesn't show up on their damn cell phones it doesn't exist.
or, just maybe, they were trying to get out of the shot as fast as possible because young people are more polite & consciences than you're giving them credit for
Young people nowadays can barely see the world around them, generally they can only see what is on their phones. And if it is not current trend "music" then they cannot discern it as music. Essentially, they are living in another dimension. Except for a small number of them who are highly intelligent with well developed perception and reasoning ability.
