In book of Enoch is it written:
"And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them, and they taught them charms and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants."

I'm a Christian herbalist and I'm glad to hear/see this video. We do have to be careful about where we get our herbal info and keep our medicinal practices in alignment with the Word. It's sad to see so many herbalists being deceived by false info and teachings. God bless!

I loved this episode! I'm a Christian, who loves learning about herbs and how they can help me and my family. I hadn't thought much about the new age or witchy stuff, but as you spoke I was like ohhhh, yes, I can see how that wouldn't be how God wants us to live. I'm so thankful the Holy Spirit helps us discern what is of God, and what is not.

Thank you! I had a very scary experience with my Mother-in-Law concerning Herbs 45 years ago. Two years ago I had a very serious reaction to a vaccination, since then I have felt a very strong prompting that the Lord wants me to learn more about herbs. To not only heal my own body but to help others to heal theirs. Listening to you today and reading the verses in the Bible you quoted has helped me to know that this is what the Lord wants me to do. I have your book on Herbs and just reading the words you put on the page helped to calm the panic I have felt. Thank you, you have been a blessing to me and my family today.

@@oreocarlton3343 The only problem with herbs is when plants are used to get stoned or alter mind, thats where you get astrology, witchcraft ..
The use of herbs is natural like the vegetables just need to stay away from those that mess with your brain like the plants you avoid cause they kill you.
Tea coffee tobacco alcohol if used improperly lead to bad but we use them to help around frankincense and myrrh are used in many ways
Herbalism is basically using plants properly lol
Herbalist and people into plants tend to surround themselves with greens too, that alone is relaxing
Again the problem is when you use plants to lose your brain.

    • @jennyducatel4214

@@oreocarlton3343 Astrology is becoming popular, with many people regarding it to be a source of wise counsel. What does the Bible say about those who consult with astrologers and use astrology as guidance for their lives?
It's in the Bible, Isaiah 47:13-15 NIV. "All the counsel you have received has only worn you out. Let your astrologers come forward, those stargazers who make predictions month by month, let them save you from what is coming upon you. Surely they are like stubble; the fire will burn them up. They cannot even save themselves from the flame… Each of them goes on in his error; there is not one that can save you." What is Astrology?
The astrologers, also known as 'Chaldeans', were part of the king's circle of so-called 'wise men' who practiced divination. The actual word for astrology in the Hebrew language literally means, 'divining the heavens'. Divination is the act of foretelling future events, or of revealing secret knowledge, by means of signs and omens or other supernatural agency. The practice of pagan divination is prohibited by God. It's in the Bible, Leviticus 19:26 NIV, "Do not practice divination or sorcery."

So good that you addressed this Amy and you are so right. I have found that it is very hard to find those that are into herbalism that is not involved with some kind of pagan, witchcraft, shamanism, voodoo witch doctor, reiki, crystals, tarot and palm readers, etc. I love going to folk medicine festivals. But along with the craft booths and garden plants and herb booths, lectures, etc they are crawling with occult kind of stuff. The kind that does not appear occult. As for the cleansing of the air with the sage. They believe they are cleansing the air of bad spirits and what they may be causing. What they do not realize is they are just playing with demons.

Only the Blood of Christ can cleanse the spirits

    • @heathermcgovern2353
      @heathermcgovern2353 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Priests walk through tabernacles with burning herbs/incense/oils to clear the air etc. That is essentially the sane thing with a different label.
I've found in my studies that so much of things that we were taught as Christians growing up, is hypocritical in the way of we were told what is evil and witchcraft occult stuff...
But.... the very ones "teaching" these things, are teaching signs and wonders, crosses used for symbolism but it's not worshipping an idol... anointing oil prayed over is somehow different than tinctures and speaking over someone or a situation.
The Bible talks about how our words have power and speaking life and speaking things into existence, but saying affirmations or "spells" are witchcraft.
God required blood sacrifices and alters, but any alter outside of physically saying you're praying to God or kneeling at the church deemed alter is witchcraft.
These are just a few... I could keep going with the parallels where Christians have perverted the real meaning to God's creation.
Crystals, stones, herbs, and energy were ALL created by God and it ALL has a purpose for more than jewelry etc. If you're wearing diamonds, rubies, amethyst, etc for jewelry is literally the same thing....
Place a crystal or stone on a finger during a wedding ceremony is literally using a crystal or stone in a ritual but the Christians say it's witchcraft in any other situation.
The gifts of the spirit like gift of discernment and gift of prophecy are the same thing as sensing energy and divination.... it's just labeled acceptable because they say its from God with a different name.
I am a pentecostal raised Christian who has dug deeper than the generational rules of what man has told me is good and evil.
The Bible says God knows my heart.... and to give God all of the glory!! So, how can all of these things be evil if God created them for us to use?
It's 100% all about the heart's intent. If you are performing anything under malace or ill will or bitterness, then your heart's intent is evil.... but, if you are doing it out of love and pureness then it's of God.
**adding in regards to the Podcaster saying she had a woman make herbal kits with viles that had been spoken over.... I believe when we use our God given internal abilities (discernment, intuition, gut feeling, subconscious, conscience, or whatever you're choosing to call it) we pick up on energy (spiritual) intent. Therefore, we can know if it's of God or Satan.
Example: Christians praying over a cloth that has been touched with anointing oil and then placing that cloth in a wallet or purse or under a mattress with the intent of healing or clarity or wisdom or deliverance etc..... is exactly the same as someone speaking a "spell" over an object while using tinctures or potions if you will for a person or situation for wisdom, clarity, healing, favor, etc....
They are exactly the same in practice..... the difference lies in the intent behind it and who you're calling on (God or Satan).
I believe all of these things that ppl call witchcraft are not witchcraft. I believe we are practicing a God given craft that's been labeled witchcraft because it looks the same as witchcraft. I believe the parts of all of it that the Bible says stay away from boil down to who or what you're calling on and if the purpose is for good or evil.
We do have the power to heal and raise from the dead in the name of God. Anything that's not giving God the glory and honor is not of God... but there again it all comes back to your heart's intent.
There is a very very fine line, but keeping God first keeps your heart in check... and if everything you're practicing is truly giving God honor, how can it be wrong?
The term witchcraft is just as loosely used as the words I love. People have demonized God given abilities and knowledge and they have lumped it all together as the same thing with zero room for any other understanding.
I believe the term witch was a slang given to a specific type of persons just like the slang jailbird or thug.... and somewhere along the way it became taboo for anyone to use the God given methods for fear of being accused of being a witch despite intent..
Every single bit of the teachings of God come down to the heart's intent and good vs evil.
I loved this podcast, but there is so much of the Bible that is grey and left to interpretation. My father is a pastor and he and I have been having this very discussion and he's looking at things a little differently now.

Lots of prayer and positive intentions help. My mom is pegan so I stay clear of spells and gems/crystals. I appreciate you taking on this difficult topic. I agree with you regarding herbs and hallucinogenic. I don't agree regarding using energy or frequency information to diagnose or find treatments. I've had several frequency tests done with a friend, who is a strong believer. Frequency tests have proven true and more accurate than blood tests. If you want to write off frequencies of bacteria, viruses, parasites, organs, etc., then stop using electricty, which is a frequency. God put frequencies in every single thing He created. I'm a very conservative Christian. We need to reclaim what the New Age, Wiccan, etc., have perverted and use for Satan. I stand strong against these things. I won't allow them to hijack things that God created as good, such as frequency medicine.

In Revelation, speaking about the fall of Babylon (modern day Babylon) it says: "Rev 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived." That word "sorceries" is translated from the Greek word "Pharmakeia", where we get our words like Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals.

The largest distributor of herbs in the 1890 ‘s was the Quaker church people they lead the way in to vacuum sealing and packaging techniques. It was honest money and needed to support health in the communities and around the world . The common sense to use plants is a honest ways to help one’s self .
There are stories around here where I live of old timers ,having angles come show them how to heal wounds with herbs . When you put your faith in God he will make you a way , and there prayers for what to do ,were answered by the angel coming to show them what to do when they were at their wits end . They knew they were angels because they walked up in the muddy road to help and walked away from them after they were finished but there track going along in the very middle of the muddy road ended abruptly plain , out past the yard on each side of the house .

it is good to hear a Christian using Gods creations to benefit humanity. it is not the plants or animals that are 'evil' or 'witchy' . it is the intention behind the use.

Hello Amy. I think your life must've taken off and gotten so busy. ❤ I wanted to let you know that I stumbled across your TH-cam channel while looking for Christian Herbalism. I love the way you speak calmly and confidently. I wonder if you have gone to another platform? Maybe I'll find out as I continue to listen😊. I have a project for our small Christian School's (an A.C.E. school) fall festival where I'm making a mini "apothecary" cabinet to raffle off. I took notes and plan to include scriptures and information/warnings about witchcraft in the Bible. I'd like to credit your video as a resource, would that be alright with you?
I hope your little family is healthy and flourishing!
    Love in Christ,
    J. Roshel S.

The only things I make are for my hubby and I. And, I only make infused oils and tinctures geared to our own ailments and health. I believe the LORD has blessed me in this persuit. And I use the Herbal books for information on the herbs I am using. I will not take a herbalist course that costs thousands of dollars. Especially since there are a few herbalists who provide their knowledge free of charge. If I doubt information I research further. Thank you Amy, I have your book.

Even Jesus was presented with incense and anointing oil. All things on Earth were created for us. It was the pagans that dedicated them to false gods.
    Edit:
I have to add to this, because I was truly convinced that my gift in growing and knowing my herbs and plants meant I was destined for witchcraft and this thinking lead me down a path of dark new ageism.
It was only years later that God touched my heart and showed me that my gift comes from Him and that I should dedicate it to Him.
This world was made for us. He saw to it. He is the only God, and Christianity is the only religion where a deity sacrificed himself for his creation and not the other way round.

So much out there is new age nonsense, but we can listen to the teachers as gladstone and the like for knowledge of the herbs and throw the " energy of the plant" , etc. teachings in thectrash. I know most teachers say the same base things but it is hard to find a follower of Jesus who teach this, why I was delighted to find you!!!

Well, every culture that has a historically documented herbal healing system has classified healing herbs energetically in one way or another. Even the medieval Catholic healers had the doctrine of humors that guided them. They would treat people like this - This person has too much fire humor, so we'll use these cooling herbs that have water to control their fire humor. They sought to balance the humors, much like Traditional Chinese herbalists sought to balance their patient's body energy. Herbs and energy seem to go hand in hand historically.
