Great list - reminded of a few titles I meant to grab, but just kind of forgot to. A perfect game for this list that I have to give a shout to is called "Invisigun Reloaded". A criminally passed-over (it had great press on release!) couch-coop arena brawler in the style of Bomberman that plays great with arcade controls - the twist is that all the players are invisible except when they fire their weapons! Everybody - of all generations - who I've introduced it to has had a blast. Really only a multi-player title though...
You should also try few other games for your arcade. Some of them may not be on steam, but there is other places to get them, if you catch my drift. Anyway, try these games: Hurrican. Super Cyborg. Another Metroid 2 Remake. Mario Forever. Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project. Mark of the Ninja. Shank. Shank 2. DuckTales Remastered. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rescue-Palooza. Flashback 2013 remake. I played some of these games you pointed out. They're ready to play and very fun to play. I don't like high budget Steam games that take a lot of time to play like Cyperpunk 2077. I like arcade-like ready to play, simple and yet fun. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! I love that one! Played the crap out of it on my XBOX360. I had difficulty with it on my cab though since I don't have 8 buttons. I found it difficult swapping items blocking ETC. I'll have to take a look again and see if I can make it work.
I just subbed. I stream steam games from my PC to my Atgames Legends Ultimate. Let me add another gem that I love playing on my Arcade Cabinets, Gunsuit Guardians, I like it much better than the Vamp Survivors. Mayhem Brawler is awesome on the iiRcade, TMNT Shredders revenge is also great and I play that on my ALU.

Some friends and I have created the "Indie Shmup Bundle" which contains 5 games you might like. Some more classics from people in the community are ZeroRanger, Gunvein, Assault Shell, Blue Revolver, Crisis Wing, Super XYX, Protocorgi, and heaps more I forgot probably.
I missed the big shmup sale unfortunately. I checked out the indie shmup bundle that looks super cool! Gunvein is on my list that one looks amazing! I'm in the process of doing a PT 2 after I get some time into the next wave of games on my PT 2 list and confirm they work well on my cab. I'm hoping this video shows developers we want more games like these. Hopefully I can do a PT 3 and 4 and so on! Thanks so much for checking this out!

Dunno if someone else has pointed this out, but Crimson Clover is no longer listed for purchase on Steam...though if you already own the game, you can buy DLC for it. EDIT: ...Oh. nevermind, it was the original version that was delisted, there's still Crimson Clover World Explosion up. World Ignition is the version I have and was commenting on.

@@TheLivingArcade No problem. Just ran the World Explosion Demo, and had some problems with the menus...some of the options were in Japanese, and the screen resolutions didn't want to change properly.
@@VulpisFoxfire I hate when they do that. Like bullet soul infinite burst. I suspect it's just the arcade version with the emulator injected into the EXE. instead of it being a true stand alone EXE. It wrecks havoc on my capture card too when these launch.
I love that game! I have it on switch but haven't played it in a while. Does it need analogue input? or does it require both thumbsticks? I don't remember it's been a while.
@@phildini23 yeah it’s worth looking into tho. That’s why I made this video some games work great on traditional arcade layouts others don’t. And I’m working on a part two right now. Another example is mother Russia bleeds. It uses all 4 shoulder buttons and that doesn’t work well on the arcade unfortunately.

Yup! Exactly why I made this. I know it's niche but I'm not the only one. Steam just says controller support and nothing about analogue or layout until you buy it. At least their return policy is good.

I haven't messed with using an xbox for retro gaming and I don't own a PS5 yet. I do know you will need brook universal fighting boards and you will need their PS5 upgrade kit to go the PS5 rout. maybe these videos will help you th-cam.com/video/qcG6ii5ckb4/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/nfHdVi7TZOU/w-d-xo.html
Also look into a pedestal arcade form factor you can just roll it out in front of the TV. I hope this helps. Personally I prefer the PC rout as it gives me more customization with the front end BigBox and fightcade and whatnot. Let me know if you have any specific questions it's a really fun journey
What usb encoder are you using? Do your controllers show up in windows as controllers or as a keyboard? Steam does some wacky things automatically in the background sometimes. Try going into the steam controller settings first before launching anything. Try using steams big picture mode and see if your controls work navigating the menu. Sometimes you just need to make a controller generic “profile” for your sticks in big picture mode once, then most games will see the controls. If that doesn’t work you can try using x360ce it is free and it will make your controls show up in windows as an Xbox controller. Let me know if any of those solutions work.
I love that game! It didn't play well on the sticks though it uses all 8 buttons and I wanted this list for the more common 6 button cabs most people have.
Late to the party, but wanted to mention a fighter that works great on arcade cabs but sadly gets overlooked a lot for such use: BLAZBLUE. Which one? ALL OF THEM. Any BlazBlue game is a ton of fun on an arcade cabinet, but play in Stylish control mode and playing on arcade is an absolute RIOT in the best way. (Guilty Gear also works well, but I find BlazBlue just feels more "right" on an arcade cab)

Super Hydora and Fight’N Rage may be the best retro revivals ever.
Both require pinpoint control for success, but mashing and dodging on the fly is as valid and fun as ever.
Both games really are something special! I wish I was better at shmups to really appreciate super Hydora and others but I really enjoy them.

I bought Okinawa Rush but I can't configure my buttons on my arcad cabinet????? It needs controllers???? Waste of money
