Hey man. I know you had Sti and did a great job modifying it. So I have 2021 Sti and I’m tempted to modified it to get the similar number as you did. I also line near R/T tuning. But at the same time I’m thinking if it’s just better to get F80 instead of modified STI. I need a good reliable car for daily but also fun. I do not want an obnoxious loud car, I’m 36yo. But not sure which one would be better over all. I do like how visceral STI is with AWD but also like the looks and speed that M3 offers. What are you thoughts on which one would be a better/fun car for daily since you experienced both of them. I have very similar taste for cars as you. Which rout would you suggest to go with? STI vs F80? Thank you!
F80 is a better car overall. Get much more car for the money. But it comes down to what you need. Do you need AWD? Do you want something simple and cheaper to maintain? The STI is a much simpler car and to be honest a car id rather daily throughout the year. Not having to worry so much about weather is a nice feeling.
First of all, thanks a lot for answering so quickly. So I live outside of Philly. I need a reliable fun daily car since we have four seasons and I’m a surgery resident who needs to be at work despite the weather. But I’m debating on either to get F80 that kind of offers everything at much higher level but it’s RWD and not good with our weather. Or modify STI and daily it. Was your STI a lot more fun once modified? Did you feel it was worth it? Do you think id able to get similar numbers with about 6K budget? Did you install your parts by yourself or the shop? Also you are doing an amazing job with content. Every single car you considered before F80, so did I. We have extremely similar taste for cars that why your opinion is very valuable for me. Thank you again for taking time to respond!
@Devgru_WAR I appreciate the kind words. No you will not be able to achieve what I had for 6k. It took a ton to get it to the level mine was at. Maybe look into a g80 comp xdrive. They are becoming more affordable and you get both of what you went. AWD and an m car.
Absolutely! It's not about the overall volume. It's about the clarity at whatever volume you want it at. When you increase the volume on the HK system, it's loud, but everything starts to get muddy and tones get drown out. With the Bavsound setup, it's crazy how crystal clear everything is. Even at ear shattering loud. Not to mention the sub's pack a huge punch. This was the one area I felt the HK really lacked.
I said it once and I’ll say it again, the car just gets better and better
Thank you! It truly does keep getting better and better.
Even through the video, you can hear the clarity and punch in bass. Audio is a must in vehicle.
So hard to capture sound on video but it’s amazing in person.
Dream build, so good in every aspect
Well thank you for shifting my focus lol now this is my next mod for my F80. Great detail 👌
Great choice!
Awesome would love this set up for my bmw f32 😊
Worth the upgrade!
Totally 😊@@Autofreakgarage

I have the harmon kardon on my 2018 M3, and it’s ear shattering loud at like over 50% volume. would this be a worth-it mod? thanks love the videos

The divorce is final!
Sucks that Bavsound don't really ship to the UK.
They've got better. Gone from not shipping at all to now charging...... £400 😂
Better than nothing!
i need this. ok on battery?
Yep no change. Still uses the hk amp so same amount of power.
great info thank you. I consider the F80 a driving experience an audiophile can appreciate.
