So refreshing to hear Kevin's honest explanation of where he's been and what he's doing now. There's no pretence , no arrogance -also no need for false humility. He's rightly proud of his achievements and living in the present . Good on you, Kevin, you may not be a "national treasure " but you enrich our lives. Long may you continue to do so .
In this video, Kevin is more talkative and open about what he's accomplished before and what he wants to try and accomplish now. He doesn't appear ill at ease whatsoever. He's absolutely wonderful!
I've never seen Kevin look so open and talkative before, it's brilliant, normally he's very defensive and seems like he has thought about each word he says really really careful. Maybe because he feels under less pressure talking to American journalist.
Maybe a one hit wonder, but one that will never sound outdated; will always be selected to play at parties and enjoyed while doing nothing in bed. The one hit wonder which nobody could ever not like and it's so good that surely it must be a cover with their own take on it!
I dont get the one hit wonder , dexys had other hits down the years in fact in my opinion much better than come on Eileen one hit wonder, if you have followed dexys you will know what I mean
Why the interest in someone who hasn't recorded anything of note for 30 years? I watched a vid about the history of 'Come on Eileen' and it clearly shows he stole it from a former band member. A one-hit wonder and it wasn't even his!
