    Awesome vids and products mate. I just purchased and installed the Prado150 kit you sell with accessory harness, battery tray and redarc charger. Saved heaps of time compared to previous installations I have done in other vehicles using only the redarc wiring kit. 😊

    Nice vid mate thanks. Little tip when your using a spanner to tighten anything on a battery best to always start tightening after the second terminal so you don’t accidentally arc across the two posts with the spanner. Had a mate do it and blew his wedding ring to bits.

    Great video mate, well explained and easy to understand. I have been looking for someone to do this to my new Prado, with your kit, I will just do it myself, it looks like you have a good buisness going and I hope you do well.

    Awesome Vid thanks mate. This is exactly what I want to do with my Prado. Only difference is that I have a Redarc Isolator instead of the DC/DC Charger. 2014 model Prado. Can you plug a Solar Panel via a controller directly into one of the sockets and charge the Second Battery and run the harness directly to the Second Battery rather than to the Isolator terminals?

    • @AussieDrifterTouring
      @AussieDrifterTouring  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mate. Yer so long as your solar panels have their own solar controller then you can connect them straight to the aux battery

    How would you approach the grommet situation if you already have a cable running through with its own grommet?

    • @AussieDrifterTouring
      @AussieDrifterTouring  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi mate, in that case the original Toyota Gromit, the large one going through the firewall that contains the Toyota harness running into the vehicle has spare nipples that you can cut the end off and using a little bit of lubricant you can push the cable through those into the car. That designed for extra accessories to be installed. Hope that helps

    What size cable are you using to run to the back on the accessories harness? And would you be safely be able to run a fridge and other accessories off of it?

    • @AussieDrifterTouring
      @AussieDrifterTouring  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Mate the cable size used depends on the type of harness and sockets selected. it is 6mm twin if using round sockets and 8 B&S bacle if selecting an anderson plug harness. They are all designed to run a fridge and other low current 12v circuits such as camp lights and charging usb gear.

    Great vid. What is the wire gauge or cross sectional area for the wires to the rear?

    • @AussieDrifterTouring
      @AussieDrifterTouring  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Tim. The one in this video is 6mm twin. We do have one that has an anderson plug on it and it is 8 b&s cable.

    Can you go through the Gromit on the right side of the bonnet through the firewall?

    • @AussieDrifterTouring
      @AussieDrifterTouring  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Daniel, This harness is made to go through that specific grommet but the harness is 7m long and therefore long enough to reach anywhere in the rear. So if you looking to have your sockets on the passenger side then we recommend going through that grommet and then running behind the dash to the passenger side and then following the same procedure to run down the passenger side. Hope that helps, Cheers Kurt
