Love ol Alabama....watch them at Myrtle Beach before they were Alabama....as a teenager, then in the 80s as a Soldier .. now as a Disabled Army Veteran...still listening to them ...Rest in Peace Jeff ...Thankyou Alabama for the great music...
No one will ever be Alabama. Except Alabama. Best group ever. Harmony, Harmony, Harmony. The best ever. Try to do what they did. Aint gonna happen. They keep me alive. Aint no sunday drive.
It should’ve been I burn the tires off my Dodge truck trying to impress the girls that I f. K But I know they gotta cater to the ignorance of followers and dip shits it just broke my heart that a good decent Christian man like Randy Owen now is supporting the LGBTQ driving one of the LGBTQ‘s most popular vehicles amongst the gay community in the F150
My girlfriend in h.s. who I later married introduced me to Alabama.until then I was a stone cold rocker only listened to rock and roll. Not married to her since 1991 but I'm still listening to Alabama and have a large and varied music collection, you never know what will be playing on my earbuds.
I've seen alabama 19 times. Met them several times. Huge fan. This is hands down their best song ever. You can just hear the truth ringing out in harmony in this tune. Awesome. Pure magic. Too bad music isn't "that way anymore" :(
I remember 1984 like it was yesterday. I was 20 yrs old and had left home for the first and had my whole life ahead of me. I lived with my sister in Little Rock Ar and heard all of these songs on KLRA and KLPQ there in LR. I remember listening to Brother Hal every morning when I drove into work. Saw George Strait for the first time in April of that year at BJ's Honkytonk. Great memories!
Awesome times, weren't they? The 80's were to me what the 50's were to my parents - you really had to live through that decade to understand how much fun it was. I have so many fond memories of those days - the girlfriend I never really got over, the house parties, cruising with my buddies in my '74 Pontiac (The Brown Bomber), just seemed like a better society when people were happier, didn't it? There are times when I wish I could go back to those days for a while. Well, I guess I still have the memories...
Its a great song but best ever, can't go that far. Best country song ever I think was "He Stopped Loving Her Today" by George Jones. I don't even think this is the best song Alabama ever had. "Fire In The Night" is one of my favs. Love "Close Enough To Perfect", "Mountain Music", "My Homes In Alabama", "40 Hour Week", "Dixieland Delight". They had so many great songs. I finally got to see them in October 2016 in Evansville, Indiana along with Charlie Daniels. What a great show, they sounded just as good as they did back then.
The last time I saw Alabama I believe it was in 85. Charlie Daniels opened up for them along with a new singer who had a couple of hits named Reba McIntyre. What a show! I sure miss the 80s.
I am not like I used to be anymore either! Life makes me more careful! Love living, but this old hippie is gone! I love living and want to be happy and safe! Love to you!
we have our tickets and going to see Alabama for the first time but we love and grew up with their music we are glad we are able to see in our area cant wait
I have always loved this song, but most of all Alabama. They were my first concert and we saw them every year after that. Randy remembered us every year. I'm 4'10 and my husband was 5'10.😂😂
I was in Andalusia Al building a structural steel manufacturing when this band first started early 80. Loved them then and still do. Fortunate to see them in concert a few times. One of the all time great bands
Lyrics :) We used to get crazy every Saturday night We drive into town and get feeling right A child of the 60s in '74 But I'm not that way anymore Well I burned the tires off my Chevrolet Trying to impress the girls that I date And I've been a gambler when I couldn't score But I'm not that way anymore I'm not that way anymore Time's closing yesterday's door I'm just as happy as I was before 'Cause I'm not that way anymore American Bandstand, The Sullivan Show I listened to the Opry on my radio Well Dick Clark's still looking as young as before But I'm not that way anymore Well I swapped my loafers for cowboy boots And bought me some jeans, gave away all my suits My razor is rusted, my barber is bored 'Cause I'm not that way anymore I'm not that way anymore Time's closing yesterday's door I'm just as happy as I was before 'Cause I'm not that way anymore I'm not that way anymore Time's closing yesterday's door I'm just as happy as I was before 'Cause I'm not that way And you're not that way We're not that way anymore Oh yeah, yeah Thank you

Lyrics :)
We used to get crazy every Saturday night
We drive into town and get feeling right
A child of the 60s in '74
But I'm not that way anymore
Well I burned the tires off my Chevrolet
Trying to impress the girls that I date
And I've been a gambler when I couldn't score
But I'm not that way anymore
I'm not that way anymore
Time's closing yesterday's door
I'm just as happy as I was before
'Cause I'm not that way anymore
American Bandstand, The Sullivan Show
I listened to the Opry on my radio
Well Dick Clark's still looking as young as before
But I'm not that way anymore
Well I swapped my loafers for cowboy boots
And bought me some jeans, gave away all my suits
My razor is rusted, my barber is bored
'Cause I'm not that way anymore
I'm not that way anymore
Time's closing yesterday's door
I'm just as happy as I was before
'Cause I'm not that way anymore
I'm not that way anymore
Time's closing yesterday's door
I'm just as happy as I was before
'Cause I'm not that way
And you're not that way
We're not that way anymore
Oh yeah, yeah
Thank you
❤
Amen. Thank God. We were crazy lunatics back then. We are not that way anymore ✝ 🙏 ❤
