      although it's not quite a buttercream, you might want to check out emmymade's video called "Magic Coffe Whipped Cream", you only need coffee, water and optionally, white sugar.
      I make creamy coffee drinks that way but she uses it to top some chocolate brownies, so it might work for cakes too, since she let that sit out for 6 hours, and the coffee cream was still doing fine (:

    • @MoonshineSunset

      you can always try making a test try before making the whole cake, maybe make 1/4 batch of cupcakes (the same recipe should work just fine for cupcakes) and decorate them with this coffee buttercream, they do that at a bakery here in my city, so we can try the cake before buying it c:

    Can we store this buttercream after making it. Also how to store and how long it can be store. Do we need to put in the fridge

    • @dessertalert9340
      @dessertalert9340  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My general guideline is 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 months. 2 days room temperature, 2 weeks fridge, 2 months freezer. You can probably store it in the fridge or freezer for longer but the quality goes down. When pulling out of the fridge or freezer, let buttercream sit out for an hour or two and then re whip it for a great consistency.

    • @dessertalert9340
      @dessertalert9340  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The best and only way I know how to substitute is to blend 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 tsp of cornstarch or arrowroot powder in a food processor until fine. The would be for 1 cup of powdered sugar. Also known as icing sugar or confectioners sugar.

    What will happen if w/o heavy cream?

    • @dessertalert9340
      @dessertalert9340  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Heavy cream is what I use to change the consistency of the frosting. If it's a little too thick, I add a splash of cream. You could also just use milk.

    Is there a way to fix runny or soupy buttercream frosting

    • @dessertalert9340
      @dessertalert9340  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It highly depends on what caused the frosting to be soupy. Add some more powdered sugar to thicken it up, a little at a time. If that doesn't work, chill it for 5 minutes and mix to see it if firms back up. Repeat if necessary. May I ask how this happened?

    Can we reduce powed sugar?it can't affect the frosting on cake?

    • @dessertalert9340
      @dessertalert9340  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You can cut down a little bit. If you reduce too much, it'll just taste like butter. Not using enough sugar can also cause the frosting to be a bit runny and it'll be hard to decorate. Just add a cup of sugar at a time and taste it. Keep adding until it tastes right to you.

    • @dessertalert9340
      @dessertalert9340  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use less if you would like but it may change the consistency of the frosting. It should be between 575 grams and 690 grams. Powdered sugar is much lighter than others solids and I highly recommend sifting before you weigh in order to incorporate more air into the mixture.
