To be honest, the USB foot switch 3-pedal that easily available on AliExpress or else is much easier to handle. To reduce preparation to start the game, I used racing pedals. 😅
Wow! Looks better than those ancient Battletech "pods" from ages ago. (adjusts onion belt). I tried it years ago - quite difficult to play/learn. But was fun, nonetheless.
That's how it was done in the past. Mechwarrior was always designed around a HOTAS with keyboard second in mind, but that was before keyboard controls became standardized.
Nice setup, I have that joystick in the attic somewhere from my mw2,3,4 days. I used to have the pedals and vr headset for mw2 too. Great to see you enjoying the immersion. 👍🏻
@@LezaKim Yeah it was awesome. I have the older style one with the midi port connector so not sure if I can make it work on w11. I wonder if theres a way to make FFB work on it too. I think Clans likely only supports rumble on xbox pad which doesnt directly translate anyhow. Would be a cool mod though if someone could make it work. 😎
I have MS Sidewinder FFB2. After 15 years of flying in dozens of simulators it's a still best joystick. MS is hell of hardware vendor, which cannot be said about software.

Very linear with a story. You can unlock the mech from reached levels, buy and modify Mechs. If Mech parts are destroyed during a mission, you can repair and reuse them. Mechs cannot be captured from enemies. This is similar to the tradition of MW2, MW4
Are you using 5760x1080 (triple 1920x1080)? nVidia Surround? How to deal with the UI spreading all the width of the triple? e.g. my own ragdoll on the bottom right of left monitor, enemy ragdoll on top right of right monitor. Not to mention in the base or mechlab the UI just messed up... I've tried custom safe zone, but max can only be set to 100, which is just a little bit closer, useless.
My resolution is 3134x1080 because my triple is 43inch + 24inch (see the description) not the common way. On the next week, Hot fix#2 update include 'Adjusted the safe zone width to work better with triple monitors'. I'm not sure if this will work. If it doesn't work, this game will have to wait for user mods like the previous game.
I can't find any way to use analog input, so I recommended to buy a kind of 'USB foot switch' (You can easily find on Aliexpress or else) and mapping the keyboard.
@@LezaKim I might be wrong on the name of the software but I think its either Joystick Gremlin or X360CE • Xbox 360 Controller Emulator haven't played with either for quite some time, anyway there is definitely some software out there that basically creates a virtual joystick that the game uses and you can use another input device to feed it input. So you could set it up so when ever you push on a pedal it gets treated as if a xbox's analog stick has been pushed forward etc You probably already know this but the software JoyToKey can also make your pedals send plain old keypress's if thats what you are also after. ps, awesome setup im so jelly ;).
I tried MW:O with triple monitors, that is 7680x1440, and it was absolute trash as the game did not support this very well at all. If I looked at an object in the center of the center display, like a circle 1000 meters away, and then twisted the torso to for example the right side moving this circle to the outer edge of my left display, the display is stretched to an oval seemingly 20m away. And as I move forward, as I close in on and pass by objects, they are zoomed in and stretched, "accelerating" as they pass by on either side. So, while I played the game, moving, twisting and turning, this behavior made me dizzy and nauseous. It simply does not look and feel good. And, even if we don't see all of the displays here, it seems to me like this game has the same drawbacks. In fact, I don't think I've played games that manages this well, which is also the reason I don't own a Ultra Wide display and don't play with more then one of my three displays any more.
@@hippoace Someone said the reason is that the game prices have barely changed since the old days, while the development costs have increased dozens of times. It is a process of deciding whether to continue service or not, along with recovering some of the development costs.
The only thing that spoils the Mechwarrior game play for me its the flight and flight paths of missiles. To me they is just looks like a light show. MWLL got it just right. Lazy programming.

Ah the "Nova", when anything in range has to die from one pull of the trigger, regardless of whether or not your cockpit becomes an air-fryer!
Thanks to Nova's overwhelming firepower, I was finally able to raise the difficulty to normal. 😭😭
