Love the videos, there's no many Model Y Performance reviews that are not from the motoring journalists, watched yours before deciding to go with the P, and the one issue my wife had was a lack of ventilated seats but didn't see your video on the Tlyard until this.

I really like watching your video, even though my quicksilver Y is in my garage. Just a tip, you can manually stop the trunk by pulling it down and adjust it manually from there then set the height.

Got my Y back in March and I have 24k km on it so far, I love it, drive it every day!
The freedom of travel is unmatched, not having to think about gas prices or anything that would limit you or make you think twice about taking that trip is truly something else.
I wonder what kind of efficacy you all get, I have 143w/km since I picked it up, I hope that's good because I try to drive as efficiently as possible to inch out every km while not straining the battery too much. Hoping to keep this car for a while or swap it with a refresh at a good price.

You have some great accessories. I'm surprised you haven't used covers for your black seats? If you don't like the black seats (or they mark easily), you can change the colour and fabric with seat covers. I use them for my Model S.
@@tooflesstesla - I think I was spoiled with the white seats in my last Tesla and they hid marks really marks really well. I just keep a microfibre cloth in the centre consul And a few seconds later the black is back to order 😂

Interested about your experience in increase in insurance between the LR and the Performance model, at a time when insurances have increased massively anyway. Great contents so looking forward to the next one.
@@TheReeflover I don’t understand why but my insurance actually dropped. I even phoned them to make sure I hadn’t cocked up but they said everything was right.

Over 31,000 miles my Y is £9.500 cheaper to run than my old Mercedes 350GLE was and that includes fuel/elecricity, insurance, tyres, brakes and servicing.
Wouldn't go back to an ice car for any money now. Good luck with the channel

Picked up a MYP 2024 Midnight Cherry Red here in Sweden yesterday. What a car! Coming from a 2017 Passat Alltrack I am blown away. Feels like a space ship to me and Cherry Red is incredible but I was also looking at the QS and your videos didnt make the decision easy. Thanks for the great videos that helped me with all the input before ordering! 👍 Need to order those rim protectors as soon as possible now 😁
@@karlnorberg7768 - I’m delighted for you and I do like the new cherry red colour as well. Unfortunately the design of the tyre/ wheel combo on a Tesla means any slight contact will mean you kerb your wheels. I never did it in any other car I owned and I ended up doing it on all 4 Tesla’s that followed. Check out my video on the rim protection and installation process as there is link that may help you and you won’t get ripped off for price

Free. Great videos and reassurances, keep up! I ordered DualMotor Long Range in June and have been patiently waiting since then despite all rumors about the newer Juniper release. I believe the older headlights look outstanding and tail lights give you more freedom for customization. Likewise, the suspension, hardware 4, noise insulation, stocks in place - numerous updates that will keep this car fantastic to ride years to come whereas a rear screen and LED are whistles that can easily be fitted.

Torn between this and black! I felt it was a lot darker in the Tesla showroom but yours in the sunlight looks a lot sharper and stands out more, do you notice it in dark as a more grey than silver shine?
@@poynty400 - seems to be all sorts of colours which I love. Be careful of the black as it shows wavering mark and swirl. I had one !

Thanks for the video, thought there wouldn't have so much difference on 2022 and new 2024 models. Tesla are one company that does not improve products by new model but improve along the way even it is the same looking car. I wonder how they can keep their manufacture model variation list! Must be using their Dojo AI chip to keep up!

@@straden79 - I’ve sprayed it with turtle wax hybrid ceramic spray coating. Cost £11.00 from Amazon. Wash the car first then just spray on and polish with a microfibre cloth. Easy to do and gives a great finish lasts for 6- months to a year

sounds advice and thoughts there mate, I have a 2022 Y dual motor in red, you are spot on the running costs are peanuts and they are a lovely drive, and if you like music the standard hifi - wow. I put paint protection on my car and I do find the paintwork quite thin and chips quite easily. I have found the brakes pretty average if needing a really quick hard stop I think you should have upgraded brakes on the performance.

Another great video my friend. Always nice to have a walkaround that MY! as for the rubber seal, I can recommend using some nextzett Gummi Pfledge, it maintains the rubber and helps prevent the fading too. It's not "free" but worth the few quid.

Nice video! QS is looking clean and would be defo cheaper than wrapping! I'm still torn between the LR and Performance. Cost and thrill are the big factors for me. It's such a tough choice!

@@chorlton91 - Since Tesla did an upgrade it has made Auto pilot super sensitive and it gives me warnings so many times it gets on my nerves. If you block it you will still get a warning but nowhere near as what it does now. By doing this autopilot still does its job with a lot more tolerance.

Does anyone know if my Tesla's battery is iffy . its a New 2024 model 6 weeks old. Standard range (283 possible stated by press) i never get over 242 miles of range stated by the car at 100% charge. Or is this standard stated mileage on a basic tesla battery ??? any comments would be appreciated
@@hudsonthedog1 - When I charged my Tesla MYP to 80% on collection day it said I had a range of 22O miles add the missing 20% gives me a full range of 264 which I knew was wrong as the car has no driving history and takes time to adjust as you drive the car and it gets to know your driving style. I did a video in 2 parts about driving my car from 100% to 0% to see how many miles it would do, doing normal driving - check it out ! My other tip would be to ignore the miles and switch to percentage as it’s so much better. As a rule of thumb I will get between 28 -30 miles for every 10% used and that’s in a performance so you should be able to do more. Mileage on any EV isn’t accurate. But percentage is. Hope this helps

Free, fantastic video been watching your journey with the model y. In the next few weeks I will be looking to get the quicksilver myp with black seats. Re your rims would you consider increasing the tyre size for rears to 295,35,21 and the fronts to 275,35,21 as I have seen that it helps to protect the rims better and means the tyres are not as stretched. Would be interested in your thoughts on this. As may help avoid curb rash as much anyway keep up the great content. Maybe we should meet up as I'm looking to get a Berlin built myp.

For me the MYP is the perfect all round car gives you bags of space great ride height and plenty of performance

no way this guys talking about fingerprints when closing the frunk i agree that there should be an option for motorized but man.... you literally live in England where its sad and rainy its just a small fingerprint its really not that serious and when you drive through the rain and the entire car gets dirty again you wont even notice 💀💀💀💀
😂😂- We are all different and sometimes little things irritate you especially when you have just cleaned your car all day. Regarding living in the UK, even though it has its problems I can think of a hell of a lot more countries where it is more “Sad” to live.
@@Sunderland1963 sad as in the weather. i like to keep my car polished and clean but even Australia is unbearably rainy so there's literally zero point in doing any of that in winter since you spend all that time just for it to get dirty and caked in dirt the literal next day. mind you this is without the whole problem of snow making things arguably even worse so i cant exactly imagine how in the grand scheme of things you are worried about fingerprints when you live in England. unless of course your daily hobby consists of cleaning the car well by all means complain away. i even looked at your weather report 3 days of rain in a week in summer 💀 good luck. i guess you could explain all of this with the new car keeping it clean all the time unrealistic delusion many of us put ourselves into and then soon forget.
