    This rifle is a different breed, just ran about 500 rounds through mine that I just bought and it came out of the box accurate as hell. Idk if I got lucky but I had no issues, no malfunctions, the trigger pull is light, I just love it. Amazing AK!!

    The horn durability test got me haha. It seems as though they’ve addressed most of the critiques of the VSKA being the side rail and cleaning rod. After the field strip, my only gripe is the lightened bolt carrier. I found that on my VSKA it caused excessive bolt velocity and it started peening on the rear trunnion because it was impacting so hard. I wish they’d use a full weight carrier. That being said, my VSKA made it just fine through 5,000 rounds.

      But can he do it without modifying the gun? It's always a disappointment to see long-term tests only to find out parts have been swapped, suppressor used etc. All of that alters the performance of a firearm.

The vska actually has held up extremely well with very little wear and tear besides the normal wear and tear. No headspacing issues or anything. People just keep up the bullsh*t trash talk about century without even owning or shooting the rifle. Easier to repeat the same lies that have been floating around for years. While the vska is not a zastava or a Sam7, the vska performs very well. Plus it passed rob skis torture tests and had very little wear and tear on the parts.same on my vska. I would assume the boy will perform the same. Ppl need to stop repeating the crap if they have zero clue of what they’re talking about

    Great video. Yes, Please do an accuracy test. We don't see enough actual accuracy tests with AK platform rifles. Many AK's are capable of good accuracy. I have had (and still have a few) several that can group well under 3'' at 100 yards and some that can do 1 1/2'' with ammo they prefer

    • @GBGuns

      @@GBGuns All of the AK variants I've had except 1 have been capable of 3'' at 100 yards with the ammo they preferred. A well-built, well maintained AK variant with its preferred ammo should be capable of 3'' at 100 yards. My sole exception was a milled receiver Norinco Mak that literally would not stay on a 5-gallon bucket at 50 yards. I bought it new and believe the 2 faults with this one was a poorly installed gas piston. The piston flopped around pretty good where it attached to the end of the carrier. It also had a fairly rough and oversized bore

      I've not tried a PSA V5 so I can't speak to it, the VSKA is a rock-solid performer, the BFT takes the VSKA and turns the longevity and accuracy potential up a notch with a thicker receiver and bulged trunnion, but will also weigh more and be tougher to fit aftermarket furniture to.

      @Kiril Belikov Got a link? and how many other times has this happened? I mean, crap happens with a lot of other makes/models and over time, a company learns from their mistakes and refines their QA process of process of making guns. I can understand if this happened maybe 5 or more times. One time (and an obscure one at that), though?
      I read somewhere that all Pontiac Fieros were fire traps in the 80s, too. The real truth is that the initial model year (1984) had engine fire issues. Those issues were quickly resolved and the model ran through 1988-1989 with none catching fire, yet it's forever written that all of them were fire traps. I owned a MY 1986 and put maybe 50K miles on it...it never caught fire and I never knew anyone that owned one that did. This is an example of how stories get accepted as fact when there's little fact involved. It's also an example of someone owning a frowned-upon product that didn't have the issues folks insisted existed. There are folks that have tested the VSKA that had none of the issues that most of the AK community insists are dangerous. Forum lore is just that. If they were that dangerous, you'd definitely be seeing more than one case of it happening, as gun shops have never stopped selling these guns.

Did they pay you or give you something for the praise?

      The VSKAs are solid. Plenty of evidence out there on that, this is another offering. I visited the factory a couple of years ago for Ballistic Magazine and saw the most consistent way of producing AKs I've seen yet (I've been to other factories). They learned from their mistakes.

    • @unixfool
      @unixfool 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Not really suddenly. Graham said below that he'd tested his VSKA at Thunder Ranch and it had no issues. He's not the only guy on YT that has tested the gun and not run into issues. And you're right about WASRs. The only difference between WASRs and CAI US-made AKs is that WASRs get a get-out-of-jail- free card, probably since they're imports.

      I just bought a Zastava zpap m70. It is a fantastic ak. They are not doing anything shady. When Century Arms used to import the Zastava brand AK-47's and did their conversions on them they were doing a horrible job and ruined Zestavas reputation. So now the partnership between Century Arms and Zestava is over with and Zestava imports their guns and does the conversions themselves.

    I very much appreciate your effort and contents. However, I don’t think we can argue that there’s no country or government currently out there that’s been doing more sketchy stuff than our own government. Ukraine is just one example (i.e. bio labs, arming nazis, supporting unconstitutional coupes, toppling the constitutionally elected foreign government and etc.) while using our own tax dollars. For that very reason I personally prefer to buy foreign than domestic brands. Can’t just openly support the corruption, my tax dollars are already doing that inadvertently. Sorry there, I’m gonna have to disagree with your views. Thanks for the video though. 👍

    • @GBGuns

      @@GBGuns thanks for your reply and shown professionalism. It’s also worth noting outside of the United States majority firearm producers are either partially or fully owned by their governments. Unlike U.S. majority other countries do not allow average citizens to own private firearms, thus their manufacturers mainly produce their products for their military and law enforcement agencies. Therefore, it makes sense for governments having a full or partial control over their arms manufacturing processes since government is their primary consumer. Turkey carried genocide over Armenia or Israel even to this date occupies and carries mass killings over Palestinians but that doesn’t mean I will stop from buying Canik or IWI products although they (both companies) support and equip their national militaries. Zastava makes quality products. Since Russian products are banned now (“thanks” to our anti-American government’s laws and regulations) and Bulgarian, Polish AKs are hard to come by in my opinion Serbian AKs are much better quality combloc products in the market by a landslide that your money can buy currently. No current main production American AK can come even close to fit and finish and overall quality of Zastava AKs especially at their sub $1K price tags. As a public reviewer I think it’s best to keep personal/individual political, religious views/beliefs out of the content in order to provide unbiased opinions. Thanks for your reply once again. @@GBGuns Well, maybe I’m unlucky for not being able to get some Russian AKs when they’re still available. But it can also be said about you (being unlucky) for getting a lemon Zastava AK. Both of my Zastava products (M70 and M91) have been great. If you think/consider Romanian AK’s to have a better quality over Serbian AK’s then there’s nothing much to argue here, unfortunately. 😁 I won’t argue that Russian, Bulgarian, Polish AK’s are arguably superior compared to Serbian AK’s. However, Romanian AK’s have always been considered as entry level/lower tier AK’s even during Soviet era. I know it because I was born and raised in former USSR country and both of my grandfathers also my father served as conscripts in USSR Army and Navy. Thus, it’s safe to say I do know a thing or two about combloc military equipment and their history. In terms of American AK’s, so far I’ve been impressed by KUSA AK products but since they’re still relatively new it remains to be seen how they’ll perform overtime. But at under $1K price mark I’ll be hard pressed for not wanting Zastava AK over other entries at that price range.
