  • Learning Kenya traditions and heritage at the Bomas was a great experience because of the impressive cultural performances and touring replica homesteads of 23 Kenyan Tribes.
Tasha Journeys is about my experience as an African-American woman traveling the world solo!
I have traveled to 18 countries and counting solo during my one-year-long sabbatical. Check out my playlist below for tips on long-term travel.

You’re welcome and thank you for watching! I enjoyed learning and actually seeing how people live a different life to the one that I grew up in.

Tasha, very informative video about Kenya. The colonizers used labels such as "tribes". It is better to say ethnic group.

According fork tales of the luhya tribe. Bantus came from a place called Msiri (Egypt) the migrated to West, Central and East Africa. After the had all settled, they migrated from place to place. but the majority stayed where they initially settle. Bantus in Kenya didn't come from west Africa. Even though there was some minor migration that didn't affect the initial settlement. For instance some groups were running away from the slave traders by going into the interior of Africa Central Africa and a few to the East fo Tanzania and Uganda .A few managed to reach Western Kenya but very little in number. The white people did re write history that the were looking for greener pastures but that was a lie. They were running away from guns and slave ships in Angola, Congo, Gabon and mostly Cameroon.
