derpy hooves is a background character from the popular animated series my little pony: friendship is magic. the character originated as an error by the animation program being used, accidentally giving a grey-coated-yellow-maned pony wall eyes. this character was named derpy by fans and embraced by hasbro, although she has gone under various other names, the most notable of which being muffins. derpy is portrayed as an aloof but well meaning ditz. she is most often seen working as ponyville's mailmare, either delivering letters or working a shift at the post office. she also has an affinity for muffins. she was given a speaking role in the episode the last roundup, but the episode was later censored to remove reference of her name due to complaints about it being potentially ableist. she made another major appearance in the episode slice of life, where she is given a major role in the story and a retooled voice. aside from that, she appears exclusively as either rare cameos or as a background pony. derpy quickly became a fan favourite among bronies and was dubbed a central member of the background six. this inspired many pieces of fanwork using the character.
ebony dark'ness dementia raven way is the protagonist of the harry potter fanfiction my immortal. my immortal is commonly considered one of the worst fanfictions of all time, often likened to sonichu. ebony is a goth vampire girl who attends hogwarts and dates both draco malfoy and harry potter, who is renamed vampire potter for the story. she is very loud and aggressive, as well as heavily sex driven, seeing as there are a multitude of what can only be assumed to be sex scenes in the story. ebony's name is infamously misspelled more often than it is properly spelled, with common variations being enoby, ebory, enony, eboby, and sometimes tara, making reference to the alleged creator of the story tara gliesbie. ebony is a mary sue, though she responds negatively to being called one. she often uses terms like prep and perv to describe people she does not like, regardless of whether they are poignant or not.

When Derpy said "it's pretty cheap how yours shipping is handled" it's a double reference.
1. She works in a mail office
2. Ebony story has weird shippings with the characters. Ebony dates Harry Potter in this world.
Not to mention that Hedwig in "My Immortal" is "A totally sexi goffik [sic] bi guy " with "bleched [sic] blond hair wiv blak streaks up 2 his ears [sic]", and also Tom Riddle's ex-boyfriend.
The fic itself is either the most meticulous parody Suefic ever written or else the work of someone with strudel in the noodle.
Ebony dates Harry, yes, but she dates Draco too, and I think she also goes back in time to seduce Voldemort, but really, the story is so off the rails by that point, that idk if that last one actually happened.
Enony doesn't even date Harry, she dates Draco and cheates or tried to cheat on him with his father, with Harry (Draco's ex) a Hot Topic employee, a guy she saw on the street and Tom Briddle. But oh, Draco bangs Snape one time and he's the worst man on Earth
another thing to note here is that "prime" is capitalized in the previous line as a reference to Amazon Prime, which leads into the shipping punchline

I don't think she won, she had some fire ass bars like the "shipping is handled" and the Tara Strong reference, but the "abra-cadaver" and that line about her eyes going different directions won it for Ebony.

I am part of the Dragon Ball fandom and while it has its bad sides, it isn’t a toxic fandom in of itself. One of the reasons I like this franchise is that it brought me new friends and helped me into joining a community full of great people. Also the Star Wars have it way worse but even then you won’t hear me say they are toxic. There are just toxic, noisy people within the fandom, that’s all.
The only fandoms I will see as genuinely toxic are the ones that are just linked to something inherently, morally bad (like a fiction that encourages discrimination, for example).
I hope you get my point now.

As a Brony, I am thoroughly impressed with this one. I hadn't heard of My Immortal until now, but from what I've gathered it seems like the epitome of pre-teen edgy fan fiction. I love how its contrast with the more family friendly show Derpy comes from is displayed in the bars. Ebony is try-hard and profane while Derpy doesn't curse a single time. Great attention to detail like that goes a long way! Of course the editing, beat, and voice acting were all top form too!

Ok, I am a little biased towards MLP AND GarbageGothic, but that aside. Both has great flows, the punches were coming in left and right, but what got me was Derpy's final line "I've got one letter to hand you, and it's an L" That's what tipped it over the edge for me. So both did an amazing job, and cutting my bias, Derpy won me over with that final line, that final punch on Ebony
First off, why are you a little biased toward GarbageGothic? She's a very good rapper. And I would understand if My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is a bit too cutesy and cheesy for you.

Very creative and good for the RAP battle. Never heard of the other character and series she did put interest for me. Editing and voice acting were cool with the beat, but got to give it to Derpy for keeping her cool and better timing with her roasts. Loved the Cupcakes reference since that story was good.
