Predatory narcissists like my cunning ex-girlfriend have figured these traits out by trial and error and use them to devastating effect! But for normal people also, they are very helpful.
heres some tips: if they dont like you for who you naturally are, thats not your fault, thats theirs and they're probably not the best person for you. although, you should still be aware of why they wouldnt like you and its up to you if you wanna change because everybody has negative traits. if you say someones name more than once then they will catch onto that and im not gonna lie, its pretty weird and they know you're trying to be in their life. always be aware of your own intentions because that will make them start to question yours. be genuine when youre trying to earn trust from someone. actually, if youre trying to earn it, then why? it should be something natural. thats giving me Joe Goldberg. you DO NOT always have to be in the best mood when trying to be friends with someone. its okay to look on the brighter side of things but DO NOT pretend because people can sense that. if you''re sad about something, dont make it too obvious because you're still trying to make a good impression. if they show compassion, theyre for you; but if they think you're bringing bad vibes, think about how you presented yourself. it is good to show positive emotions, and sometimes you do have to push yourself but dont push yourself too hard. i would suggest positive affirmations to be in a better mindset. it is good to make eye contact when laughing, but not too long because again, if you're trying to make them like you, it shouldnt be forced. 4:09 is actually a great example of what not to do because to me, it just seems forced. on the other hand, if you're in a group of people, you tend to look at the person you feel more comfortable with, so take that into consideration. its good to ask questions and actually engage in the conversation, but dont ask TOO many questions, you can talk about yourself too. showing flaws is good, that tip is actually great. highlighting shared values, being vulnerable, and showing a sense of humor is also good. basically what im saying is, just be genuine and dont chase after people. i feel like some people watch this video with the intentions to manipulate someone and thats obviously not a good thing.

It turned out she was just a social predator that preyed on socially inept people, like myself. I lost a lot to her and her friends. Then she painfully abandoned me. Then her friends wanted nothing to do with me because the ruse was done. It was the worse emotional experience of my life. Determined to never allow even the smallest possibility of this happening to me again, I returned to what I know and socially isolated myself again. Now, I am impossible to emotionally injure. There is far more to life than a social existence. I will likely never try to be social again. I know my limitations and will compensate around them. I did think I had great friends and a wonderful girlfriend. Please be careful and do not trust them fully.

You forgot to add the one single fact about getting people to like you. Be pretty. If the person is fabulously beautiful, they can be the most hateful horrible being alive, but someone or ones will be instantly hooked.

Great advice on the video but really you're not living for someone else you're living for yourself you know you can take care of your kids and your family your parents or whatever but on the inside you know who you are you know what you're about and you don't need others to define you. You don't need people to define who you are or characterize you or anything like that you don't need people to affirm who you are they either like you or they don't . For the most part I try to be friendly and happy and positive but there's always going to be someone in the zone that's going to be negative. One time someone told me:. You're such a snob and I was like laughing and said why do you think that and they're like because you never talk to me..... I was standing there getting some coffee at break and I was like what do you mean because I don't talk to you and she was like well nobody likes you here because you're rude and you don't ever talk to anybody..... And I was like I don't talk to anybody because nobody talks to me. First. Wow. So hard to figure people out you know if you're not they think you want something from them if you don't say anything then they think you're a snob wow.
