    I have a question:
Yesterday, My Mac was fine and shut it down. Now, I turned on my Mac and it says “Your computer restarted because of a problem”, i press a key then it restarted and it goes back to that message. I pressed Cmd + R. And I clicked Disk Utility and “Macintosh HD” is not there. The only thing that is there is the 251 GB APPLE SSD SM02… and disk0s2 (which is greyed out).
I don’t know what happened but I can’t use my Mac because of this problem. How to bring back the Macintosh HD?

This worked! however I don’t know if this has changed since you made this video. Or if I messed up at an earlier stage. But the startup disk wouldn’t appear.
you will have to reset the laptop afterwards, and go into the terminal and update the time, reset again. And then the disk should appear.

My iMac desktop 2011 SSD went missing. I fallowed his directions and was able to recovery it and restored from Time machine. Thanks It will take about 7 hours to recover due to the size of the SSD 1Tb.
