  • How to Draw FACES with ACCURATE PROPORTIONS & FEATURES (Front View) - Tutorial
This is a method for creating construction and locating the placement of all the facial features accurately. The method for the standard proportions is from Andrew Loomis. In this video i demonstrate how these rules can be applied to other faces and allow you to draw realistic faces and portraits.

Dan!! Why couldn't I have found this video 30 years ago when I started taking art seriously?!! I've always struggled with developing head proportions by using the Loomis, Hogarth, or Bridgeman methods. In 14 short minutes, you completely explained it in a way that I get. THANK YOU!!!

Dan, appreciate the fact that you verbalize your thought process as you create. This takes a conscience effort; verbalizing the normally unspoken inner "voice".
It is very helpful for those of us striving to learn, to simultaneously hear and see the creative flow; to see not only the how but also to hear the why.
Many presenters either forget or minimize this concept.
