Hi from Auckland NZ - glad to see you back. I've been sewing lately. A Norma blouse in a nice cotton, gingham with lemons on, and added a band to the bottom of it that I can tie at the side. Looks good - it is removable if I want to, because it is for an art deco festival I'm going to in a couple of weeks - weather permitting. Then I made a "flapper" dress which has turned out really nice. Then the third thing, with the help of you tube, a turban. It is super simple, with a knit fabric, and I had the perfect bling type embellishment to add to it. Good to see your makes. Heather

I have been working on some stuff for me. Cut out before Christmas and never got to. Pattern Emporium - Grab a Cuppa cardi, love notions - classic tee, and a simplicity 6397 cardigan. Got 2 done so far. Simplicity is the last one.
As I was watching this video I was un-sewing a pair of white pants. I'm going to use the fabric from them to make some quilt blocks. I've been off (mostly off) and repairing a quilt I made my husband 27 years ago. I had to un-sew it completely and then sew it together. It has been a project from not heaven. I got part of it together I noticed my stripes were not the same width so I had to un-sew (get out my seam ripper) some of the strips and blocks, then cut three strips to match the other ones, then I began to sew it again and noticed my horizontal strip was longer than my top row. I then measured each row and found two were the same width and one was wider than the other two. So back to un-sewing I went, which I've done. Now I need to narrow two of the blocks and begin to sew them together again. So as you can see I've had nothing, but trouble with the quilt and now I am avoiding working on it. I've only worked on it two times in the past six or seven weeks. I won't let myself work on anything else until it's done. I am going to try to work on it tomorrow. Please pray that I do so and that there are no problems with it. This is the only quilt that I've had this much trouble with. Thank you for sharing what you are up to. Carl sounds like the perfect husband. I am so glad that you are so blessed.
Good to see you again. I am at the moment making gifts for all my GB leaders and helpers, to say thanks you for everything they do. Then I hoping to make a jacket, not sure which one yet

Hi Allison, I just made a Zadie and sewing a Yanta now. I sew slow but want to make 3 garments a month this year. I’m behind. I had 4 items to repair and took some sewing time up. Where did you get the colorful dress fabric you are wearing?
I’m eager for Jane’s new pattern! 😊 I purchased some of her former patterns, but don’t know if I should get A0 printed or print out my size on A4. What do you recommend? The thought of putting all that paper together with the voluminous skirts strikes much fear… I’m putting a Waves & Wild button up shirt pattern together for my grandson today. It’s really off-putting, so I’ve decided that for this pattern company I’ll send any future W&W patterns to be printed. 😂😂😂 By the way, I say “gosh” all the time. 😅

Thanks Libby I think I will book some jewellery sessions in during March the can be shorter than the sewing sessions I think so will fit in nicely 🤞x

Both because the sagebrush is gathered I just gather it to fit the Indigo - it gives it quite a puffy sleeve

Slow to sew is fine there’s no hurry - it was from 1st for fabrics
