I use an NS7II and love it to hell. I needed a portable solution so after careful consideration I picked this up. Mainly for the touch strip, the long pitch adjustment, and instant compatibility with Serato DJ. Some irks... That weird touchstrip control, no gains for the channels, no aux input, no monitor out. While I mix in my headphones all the time, it would be nice to have at minimum a balanced monitor out. All in all, not too mad about having something to beat up and have similar NS7 functionality.
I don't agree with the conclusion here. It is not an advancement to the MT2 as you loose the top row of encoders for a wonky touch-strip. The filter knob is nice, but they did take away 4 freely assignable knobs, so that is rather a moot point. The long pitch faders are only interesting to people who don't use the SYNC option, but who would really? Certainly not a beginner. It's a weird re-imagination aimed a nobody specifically.
Does this actually have visual feedback on the jogs or are they just backlit? I know Serato Intro doesn't allow visual feedback for the jog wheels, but if one were to upgrade, would you be able to see the lights behind the jogs spinning?

I've just bought this Mixtrack Pro 3 dj controller for my son, but he wants to run the software called Djay Pro using the iPad Air. How on earth do I get this to work ? I've tried connecting the MTP3 to a USB powered 4 port hub by Elkin but the mixtrack just goes through a crazy colourful light flashing show and doesn't stop until I disconnect the USB lead.I've also bought the camera connection kit and connect that to a USB/USB lead which is then connected to the powered USB and the opposite end connected to the camera kit. Then the lighting end is connected to the iPad. Pleeeeeease help me. Why can't I get this to work where others say that mixtrack pro 3 WILL definitely work using an iPad 😞..Many thanks VW
Hey Vincent! The Mixtrack Pro 3 isn't plug-and-play compatible with the iPad Air, that's why you're having issues with it. The Mixtrack Pro 3 will work with djay Pro on a laptop, however :)

Pioneer DDJ-SB or the SB2, the Mixtrack 2 pro is a lot more compact if you plane to get case or throw in a backpack, there is also the Reloop Terminal mix 4 or a Dennon Mc4000.

Not being funny here but for the whole video, you’ve literally conned the whole device saying about how the structure of the Mixtrack Pro 3 wasn’t as expected, the FX slider was a bit of a gimmick, the Base, Treble, Mid and Filter buttons were small compared to others, and how the loop buttons were complicated and difficult to use. Just my opinion here I just think this device deserves a lot more positives than negatives especially for the beginners who aren’t looking for a £1,000 DJ controller I think this is very substantial and well designed! No hate here just my opinion.
Can you change the range on the pitch sliders? I'm mixing uptempo stuff mainly hardstyle hardcore frenchcore and it ranges between 150 200bpm I know you can do with pioneer and so forth but this do it?

antaresdraco okay i finally went with the mixtrack pro 3. ddj sb and mixtrack pro 3 are almost the same, just some minor differences which is more up to style and not functionality. for me a VU meter matters a lot, and for Gods sake it is a new model, up to newer expectations, and actually the FX controlrs are great, ive tried it and some dj-s showed me that why it is good and know i admit its better than knobs. so all in all i just found pointless to buy an older controller with less possibilities for an extra 25 euros.
I love this controller and it also perfectly works with Dj Player Pro.

It has a filter for each channel, as well as treble/mid/bass EQs, and FX controllable through Serato DJ :)

No, they need to be hooked up to external powered speakers. Serato doesn't let you use internal speakers when a controller is plugged in.

Try pressing Shift then the Pitch Bend up or down buttons. Or clicking the -/+% part of the display in the decks, with your mouse pointer.

Would be fine as a backup, for a travel controller I'd rather have a Hercules Starlight (or DJ2GO2) as this is still pretty big

I am looking at getting this, I am a beginner. Just looking for using as a hobby, just to mess around, will this be ok for what I am looking to do? I use mess around with vinyl.

I was waiting for this controller for some time but really disappointed. Pioneer DDJ -SB is still better. The functionality in Pioneer DDJ - SB is far more superior then Numark Mixtrack Pro 3 even though Numark's is 2015 model...

antaresdraco okay i finally went with the mixtrack pro 3. ddj sb and mixtrack pro 3 are almost the same, just some minor differences which is more up to style and not functionality. for me a VU meter matters a lot, and for Gods sake it is a new model, up to newer expectations, and actually the FX controlrs are great, ive tried it and some dj-s showed me that why it is good and know i admit its better than knobs. so all in all i just found pointless to buy an older controller with less possibilities for an extra 25 euros.
Where is the Keylock?

S4, if you got the money. Vci 400s are cheap as hell now too. Numark is garbage...
You're probably better off buying a used ns6 from guitar center or something for like $130.00 more
