Today’s video has a deeper meaning for me: Just as in life, things don’t always go as planned. Your willingness to persevere, to take a chance, to see possibilities, and to learn from the experience is powerful inspiration for all of us! Thank you Kylie!! 💖🙏🎨

I love your image transfers Kylie. I can understand you wanting them perfect if you're transferring to fabric for a project but when you are transferring them to paper you want them to take on a different look otherwise you may as well just cut out the original image and stick it on another piece of paper. I love that yours have taken on a whole new look. Beautiful art 💕TYFS

I love your grungy images and the final collage is great. I find all the model faces in the glossy magazines not my ‘cup of tea’, so the more messy they become the better. Thank you for showing us your work.

I liked this video because it shows image transfers that turn out the way MINE turn out! It's such a hit and miss process. This has inspired me to give it a go again and if it doesn't work out, I will at least have some interesting and unique papers to use in collage.

I actually like the hazy look when all the paper hasn't been removed, it looks mysterious. Thank you for showing us so many image transfer techniques that we can try. It is frustrating sometimes when things don't work out, but you pressed on, and in the end created a beautiful journal page! Thank you for keeping it real. xxx

Thanks for showing when things don’t go to plan.I have used some of these transfer ways in the past, and can’t say as have ever had complete success, but like you haven’t wasted and have used where I could 😊.If you had only showed your finished page,no one would of known it wasn’t intended 😁,so it was a success in another way 😊X

I am finally retired and will have the opportunity to enjoy your videos. I learned so much from this one video. You have taught me to be free with my different supplies. I would never have used pastels on a collage, but will try this now. Thank you. Looking forward to more of your videos, guidance and art.

i have always been intrigued by image transfers I personally have tried several different methods and have had no luck with them over the last couple of years. tried all different methods, different mediums, different magazines and inks. at this point I am very frustrated and will let this subject rest for awhile. i did love your tutorial and your journal page was awesome. there is also a packing tape transfer method. thanks for sharing.😊

Thanks for sharing these very hit and miss techniques of image transferring Kylie. I think many of us have been through the same and your end result was a great page in your journal. Nothing is ever lost.

This is interesting, Kylie. It's not anything I've ever tried for myself so it was interesting to see your take on it. I liked the rather ghostly, grungy images you got and the way you turned them into a journal page. Thank so much.

I have a hard time with image transfer, but live it. There are just so many variables at play. I know you had a frustrating time of it, but your final results are stunning. Love that journal page. The metallic paint and ink colors are a fabulous touch. Rest, relax, and remember to breath it is all good. Love yah! 💌🙏💐

Nice video. So interesting. Just go and see what happens. And still it turnes out a lovely page. I should do this more often. I’m such a perfectionist. This is the best therapy for letting go of perfectionism. Love the singing birds in teh back ground. Do you allways get up so early in the morning. Do you besides working as a crafter do other work? Just curiousiity. Thx for sharing all your skills. Greetz from Holland

Not everything goes as planned, that's a very important lesson for all of us. And taking lemons and making lemonade is important too, which is what you did in making such a beautiful journal page. Thanks for reminding us.

I enjoyed watching the process and I like the result, and the main thing for me is - in my process - the challlenge to create beautíful pages out of things we have got on hand. The same with things from nature, by the way, I love your nature themed journals ... so thanks a lot, Barbara

I think we can all relate Kylie, I do not have good luck with image transfers and end up frustrated! I do love how the closed eyes turned out in particular, they made me think of a broken angel, I loved your collage when you added the mica paint! It looks like the northern lights! Thanks for keeping it real and making an awesome journal page!💕🇨🇦

I think those image transfers were neat! I like the grungy and sometimes ghostly look of some magazine image transfers I have done. I think imperfections in this technique are the best. Nicely done!

Thank you for sharing this, Kylie. I have to say it made me laugh. As a fellow artist, I felt your frustration. Also, though, I felt your determination to get at least one image you were happy with. We don't give up because we need to accomplish it. We may never do that kind of project again BUT we got one that we loved. 😘😘

Aw poor Kylie, I tried the method of using the gel plate and it took ages to get a decent one. I give you 12 out of 10 for dedication, you are a star and turning them into a journal page was brilliant. Tfs xo

Thanks for posting this whole experiment! For what it's worth, I found the kind of paint used with doing a gel plate transfer can make a big difference in how it comes out -- Amsterdam black has worked well for me.

I’m glad you did keep this video even though the techniques didn’t mostly work out. I think image transfers are very tricky to make work indeed. In past I tried the magazine gelli plate transfers with no success . Your journal page is nice🌺and love the grunge style

I watched a video on image transfer using the geli plate and got so excited, but I just couldn't get it to work. I got partial image but you've done a lot better with the blue photo. If this worked it would be such fun to do but you've made a beautiful page in the end anyway Kylie x

I am sorry you did not get transfers but I appreciate that you shared the experience. I have tried numerous techniques and still have not had success. My daughter was taught in high school to do transfers with clear packing tape. When she has time I hope to have her teach me.

We only learn from failures ❤ I know from experience how finicky magazine transfers are on the gel plate. It's just a case of try, try and try again. It's also very frustrating when people only post the successful prints. Tfs
