Where do you get the salt water? I am about to get two hermit crabs but I need to first get all the stuff for them.edit: also where do you get eco earth at? I’m confused where to find it.
You can get instant ocean salt from most pet stores (it can be the reef crystals or the regular type, its in a purple box/bag) eco earth from any pet store as well)
I like these videos It gives everyone the opportunity to see different ideas for our own tanks. In the swcond video I saw the blue pool. I had the same one from Pet Smart. Pleaae tell them to watch it carefully. The blue began to peel off ao I gor rid od it becauae I thought it could be harmful. Again love the videos, maybe ill send my picturea of my babies

Hi, I'd like to know if natural spider wood is ok to use with hermit crabs? I'm finding the answer to this question through research on the internet. Thanks for all the great videos. Btw, I'm a crafter so I actually love the diy videos as well.🤗
Im going to make a salt water kiddie-pool set up on my bck patio this summer with an island for climbing, dechlrntd fresh water pool, & some hides my crabs can hang out at during nice summer days.
to anyone who needs water dishes that are deep i reccomend flukers rock bowl its 5$ wich can be pricey so i recomend containers with rocks and a make shift ramp
That last enclosure had pretty sorry water containers. I believe they were oyster shells. Definitely not deep enough. Not even close. Only concern though. (Maybe some things to climb on/up, but, they certainly wont die w/out it👍☺)

I have 7 hermit crabs. 5 are in a 30 (their sizes match up to the 30 nicely), 2 in a 15 storage tub (quarenteen), and 1 in a 15 gallon tank (she's also in quarenteen, I've had her for only 1 week and she's a rescue 💖💖) Aside from my rambling, i love your videos, and I can't wait to see more >w

Alyssa Kelly with the eco earth, get the brick not the bag, the brick is cheaper and you get more substrate

I have 11 crabs currently and do everything that you are supposed to do to take care of them but they never last over a year
When you react to others crabitats and tell them how to improve it helps me think of how to improve mine

I'm confused the 2nd one said she had 3 hermit crabs but then said 2 are molting and 2 have painted shells which is 4
Unless my math is also wrong, i came up w/ that # of crabs too.
2/3 of the crabs are molting and 2/3 have painted shells.
