I would say like: Hold on, before I sit, I must say that I didn’t donate because my mom wouldn’t let me, it wasn’t my choice it was theirs due to the number of family members in our house.
When a teacher publicly humiliates and makes fun of a student, it’s ‘okay’, but then whenever a student talks back and defends themselves, they’re considered disruptive and disrespectful? The education system and the people who run it are messed up.
Itz Charrlee I heard a kid yelling at a teacher once because the kid got a question wrong and everyone was mocking him and the teacher sat there and laughed apparently it happened every day and the teacher took him in the hallway and screamed at him that he was disrupting class 😑
Only ever had one teacher I actively disliked. Chemistry teacher in high school, sophomore year. He gave us a sideshow and told us to do it. Then when my friends and I said we were confused, he said "bullshit" and walked away. I barely passed. Then there's the total opposite, my Italian teacher who found out I shut down when frustrated and moved me to sit near his desk. Then he would see when I'm frustrated and support me. I did super well in that class.
The whole point of giving to a charity is that you're doing it if you can out of the kindness of your heart, and not because it's mandatory. Humiliating someone for not giving could possibly make them not want to donate because they could connect the trauma with charity/giving. At least, that's how it would work for me, idk about others.
Especially that usually or people are poor si why would they throw a few dollar, or they had a bad experience with charity(once when my mom was volunterring for a charity, they told her to put aside some toys, so that they keep them for their own action, not the one people have donated for), and sometimes they might be greedy. Technically humiliating someone to give to charity probably work, but only one time.
@@augustomoreira7441 that's not what I meant at all. It's like giving a family member a hug. If you can and you want to, great! If you can't/don't want to, and you get humiliated/berated into doing it, you may avoid that family member due to the memory of that humiliation. It's the same with donation. If you can't/don't want to for whatever reason, and you get humiliated into doing it, you may avoid donation due to the memory of that humiliation.
Oh God, I always hate that tension when a teacher is like "MOST of you did amazing". Nothing worse than failing a test that a teacher just praised the rest of the class for.
Back in 10th grade I tried to tell a teacher privately that I was gonna miss 2 consecutive classes and she lost her shit on me. The reason I was missing these classes was because my grandma had cancer and we didn't think she would make it to Thanksgiving so we were having a Thanksgiving on Halloween weekend and she lived half way across the country. When I shouted this back at the teacher she went dead silent and so did the class.
My Spanish teacher last year was so rude and shamed the class for not having “112” percent because it was supposedly the easiest class out there, but literally all she’d do was make us take notes of the same thing over and over again and talk about where she was from and how she was related to this singer no one’s ever heard of. she’d call out the people who didn’t have a high enough grade by her standards and humiliate them in front of the class. Some of my friends actually ratted her out to the vice principal and since then she’s never done it again lol
Sounds like you had my old Spanish teacher. All I remember is her constantly talking about her personal life, marriage, and religion. She would also frequently insult us and then begin cry-ranting infront of the whole class about us being "disrespectful kids who won't do anything in life." Genuinely have no idea why she was allowed to keep her job
That's like saying... "You're too pretty to be lesbian" "You're too young to be depressed" "You're young, you can't have a mental illness. It's for attention" BLAH BLAH BLAHHHH
the principle could have prevented a lot of bullies to not change schools because of me. But nah they just didn't care so I took matters into my own hands.
4:40 I was one of those kids that smelled bad, came in late, and had very little food. Thankfully my life is much better now but those years had a huge impact on me. It's bad enough when other kids make fun of your financial situation...but a teacher? I'm gob smacked
Those asshole teachers did that to me and my siblings, but our family lawyer fought back and sued the teacher, the school, and the district. He even sued the bullies and their families in some cases. We loved having someone in our corner.
I understand...I have teachers that don't wait for the student to explain, even to defend on themselves, what a bad teachers...atleast let them explain maybe your're wrong and they right.
Some teachers. I am a teacher and I wouldn't dream of doing any of this, neither would any of my colleagues. Also, with the food drive, the teacher should know what the backgrounds of the children in the school are. For example, I have quite affluent kids but most are from more deprived areas. Therefore we wouldn't get much but know why.
If they dont wait for an explination, raise your voice, stare them in the eyes and let them chose to either listen with zero sound or taking this to the deacon(boss). Mostly the first helps if the tension has been going on quite alot and long.
Truuue, I think I was in fourth grade and my class was in the library, we had partners. My partner was my friend who was bad with English The assignment was about writing a story and picking pictures and a cover for it etc. She was shy and barely spoke through the whole thing, but I DID ask her "is this ok.. How about this?" and she would nod, I'd ask her what to type and everything when it came her time. The class came to an end and the substitute teacher we had asked my partner "did you get a chance to write?" Keep in mind she didn't know English very well and was probably confused She answered "mm.. No" I heard her say this and when the teacher walked away I FREAKED OUT, I thought I would get a bad grade or the teacher would think less of me if she thought I was selfish! I did everything in my power to get my partner to tell the teacher "actually, yeah I did write" I think she did end up telling the teacher that. But apparently the teacher heard me asking my partner that and YELLED at me in front of the entire class in the hallway for MANIPULATING A STUDENT... I walked away with my face red and almost about to cry Sorry this is so long, I wanted to get point across XD
@@stellarose3472 I 100% agree 😂😂 I can’t even imagine any of my seminary teachers even raising there voice at me or my class mates lol ( and some of the kids in the class are forced to be there, meaning they take there rightfully earned anger and use it on disrespecting the innocent teachers )
This is true, I had saved up for a long time and had a pretty good amount of money, I put each kind of coin in a big bag. But after bringing bag #1, my house got robbed. Now I just remember going to school the next day, just to start crying, because of something I couldn’t control.
I actually wanted to share a story about an amazing teacher! It was grade 4, after winter the Holiday was over, my parents had told me and my sibling not long before that they had decided to split up, they still cared about each other just didn't think staying married was a good choice. Then, just a few days before school started we had to put my cat down because he was sick and we couldn't help him. So obviously I wasn't doing so well so in class I would zone out, doodle, not pay attention, and stuff more then usual and my teacher noticed it. One day she came and talked with me after class and I explained why I was acting that way, she ended up giving me a small bear stuffy to keep with me during class. I still have the bear to this day and it brings me so much comfort. :3
At my school if you have financial problems and if you can't afford school supplies they will supply you will with some because at my school we have some hella rich people and some poor people and some who are in the middle, but at my school they have fun raisers once in while to gain extra money for replacing band instruments and other stuff and to make sure they can give students supplies.
I have had only one teacher I remember legitimatly liking, and that was my 2nd Grade teacher. I remember falling asleep in class during a test, waking up, and being freaked out that she would yell at me. I go up to her, tell her, and she says, "It's okay, let's just get you caught up." Best Teacher I've ever had
One time, I had a teacher that was really nice to me. He was very friendly and loved my work. My parent's didn't exactly trust him tho because at some point he asked if I could attend Saturday school. They felt very cautious of this man.
Honestly the American school system in general is a catastrophe. They punish victims for defending themselves while letting the real villains off the hook, give awful advice, and furthermore expect us to be up and listening at 7am even though we're all mega tired.
Ikr I might as well wear a Go-Pro so I have proof. My district got called out by the Department of Justice last year, and they're doing this new campaign called "No More, Not Here". It's not the students that are the problem, it's the teachers. Literally nothing has changed.
The American school system is ranked #1 and #2 as the country with the best education system and competing with usually the U.K. For the top spot... Country with highest grades is between Korea and Japan who actually make their kids arrive only 30 minutes later than the U.S. students but have them get out a full hour and a half later and give less days off to their students. Before you talk bad and label the U.S. as a "catastrophe" you should really do the research behind the students themselves (who btw have shown signs to being lazier and lazier) as opposed to the teachers doing their job. There's bad teachers, but you're really wrong in your comment by saying the whole American School System is bad.
This is the only reason I want to live in Finland if I have kids, I hate our school system, and this is how my school life is, I wake up at 6:00 am, get in my parents' car, and let them drive me to school for like 20 minutes, then go do my daily routine, which includes high school math (I am in middle school), and advanced language arts, then go back home at 2:45 pm and do homework until 8:00 pm on some days.
popular kid wearing white Gucci shoes principal: hey here's a gold star for wearing the right uniform also the principal: hey why are you wearing blue shoes, this could ruin the reputation of our school Me: how are you the leader of a top school in this country
My teachers like to embarrass me in front of my peers when something happens to me that I can't control yet when others do it they don't care. The education system is unfair.
I had a teacher who told me off for not smiling. She said, “I don’t like children who don’t smile”. The teacher then called me up to the front of the classroom and made me explain why I wasn’t smiling.
My grandmother have been beating me up when I was crying, or laughing too hard, so yeah, I guess some people either hate emotions, or think that "you have no reason to be sad/depressed/anxious"
Kids: are sad and anxious Teachers: why are you so anxious? Also teachers: ok, so we have 300000 tests tomorrow along with a 689 part homework assignment due tomorrow, oh yeah, this repeats throughout the week
Can we get to 1000 subs from just comments? teacher: you’ll have 2 hours of homework each day this week. so it’s pretty doable. random kid: isn’t that like 14 hours of homework + whatever assignments we have in other classes? teacher: well it’s up to you to get it done.
THAT BRINGS UP ANOTHER POINT BECAUSE when i was a kid my parents wouldnt by anything, we were too poor, and there were over 100 kids in my neighborhood, when i was a kid something was wromg with me and my parents didnt trust me to go out fundraising alone, we found out during highschool im autistic
SquidKidPlaguy at my elementary school we had to do candy sales and sell 2 cases of candy. Whatever we didn't sell our poor parents had to pay for as if tuition wasn't enough 😥
As someone in the Church I can fully relate to seminary, most of us don’t hate it specifically, we hate the time. I was unlucky enough to have it at 6:00 in the morning, I have to wake up at 4:50 am in order to compensate for getting ready for school, I even snapped at my social studies teacher once or twice because the pressure of serious sleep deprivation really takes a toll.
My third grade teacher specifically targeted me for things. She would tell me to do things over and over, and then tell me to do the opposite, and stupid stuff like that. Example: One time we were cleaning out our desks, so I was taking things out, and she said I was doing it too slow, so I sped up and messed up a bit, then she told me to go slower, and she kept doing that until I just tipped my desk so all the books fell out, and I got sent to the office. Every other day I was in the hall crying all day because she would send me there. Another things, our school had a day in summer called "Spree Day" where you got to play little games outside with your class. In that year, there was a game I didn't like, so I went to a hill about 3 feet away and just sat there. I said I didn't want to keep playing the game, and she got really mad at me. I was able to sit out the games in 4th in 5th grade, but this year, she ended up getting me SUSPENDED for not wanting to play a game. That's stupid. Remember that it was 3rd grade and I was like 7.
@@megly146 it's not always the case, some students are able to go to school earlier than the rest of the students and some other more later (i'm 1-2 years older than everybody in my class)
I remember how in 8th grade, our Spanish teacher berated us about how "High School is going to be so difficult and noooone of you are going to be prepared for it..." since half the class flunked the final. High school comes around, and my same class passes the final with an 85% average. Turns out she was a terrible teacher, and our teacher literally opened the first day with, "I forgot to set up the lesson for today, so feel free to look on your phones or whatever?"
My teacher yelled at me for looking up when somebody said my name. Apparently doing that is considered not working for half an hour in my teacher's eyes.
I had an awful substitute in 3rd grade. She yelled at a kid, and he started crying because he was like 7, and he got detention for it. When some girl tried to comfort him, she got detention too. Also when my friend was on lunch basket duty, the sub tried to trip her and did the finger-across-throat thing at her. All of these people were POC, btw. So yeah she was awful.
It wasn't my sub, but there had been a sub in my school everybody talked about called Ms. Love. Pretty ironic name, since she was known for having hit two kids. Slammed one kid into a wall I think, and then tripped some other one. Probably did it to others but those are the two i've heard of.
I had this one mandarin teacher named ms li Lou shir. She was an overall nice lady outside of school, but I would mainly be picked on by her for not understanding mandarin. She would always say English is so easy and she genuinely made me hate learning any foreign language with symbols instead of letters
I had a teacher who would lower my grade and give all the other students extra credit because I liked a different sports teams and kept wearing that sports teams shirt to school.
I had a teacher once, I was just getting a pen for my friend cause she didn't have one, then the teacher told us to explain ourselves for talking while the teacher was talking. We were taking notes for important exams.
I had a bullying issue in my classroom. It was a big problem because we all had the same classes together (this was in my middle school at the time during covid) I was the main target. I was bullied in every class. I would openly cry about it. All of my teachers (except one) just ignored it. They let it happen. I loved my chemistry teacher. She would always check on me and make sure I was okay. My other teachers didn't do that. I was also VERY sensitive so that didn't help. Here's an example of something a teacher said to me, "Why are you crying? This is not the space or time to be doing that. Wipe your tears and continue class." She purposefully embarrassed me in class, and didn't do anything about the bullies. I was very depressed after that. The education system is unfair.
I remember I had a really bad science teacher when I started in a new school. She was really biased to certain students, mainly the ones that did well in her classes. So when they forgot their HW or a stationary, she’d be like, oh, it’s fine, just borrow one. But if an average student, like me, did any of the above, she’d either yell at us, or blatantly be exasperated at us. She didn’t bother hiding it. One time she was doing a science experiment in a lab, and I, a short kid, was at the very back and couldn’t see anything, and no-one was budging. She saw, and *yelled* at me, because NO ONE, WOULD MOVE. I’m pretty sure most kids didn’t like at all.
I had a teacher who would give my friend detention almost every time he saw him because "his hair was too long." I wish I was joking. My friend's hair isn't even that long. My teacher just didn't like him.
Had a teacher who said that if we were struggling we could tell him. My dad came in to school and explained to him that I had been diagnosed with depression and anxiety and needed an assignment marked as exempt because I'd been in a crisis center and home most of the days they'd worked on it, and my teacher responded with some bs about student responsibility. The next day he pulled me in the hall and tried to tell me as nicely as possible that my dad was "an intense person" and that my grades were my fault. It was embarrassing and I know refer to that teacher as Mr. SOB. Everyone in my school hates him but he hasn't been fired yet for some reason
In first grade we were coming back from Art. We had to wait in Line right outside our class room door, I was tired of waiting and I walked right in. A really strict teacher walked and and told me to get back in line. I pretended not to hear her and then she yelled at me. This is what she said “DO YOU WANT TO BE A DUMB STUDENT?!” She also lied to the principal saying that she did not do it.
One of my teachers pulled my hair for asking a friend about a math problem. The thing is that she always preached about asking a friend before a teacher. I cut my hair short after that.
pretty much every teacher for every grade says random stuff is disrespectful (definition of respect: deeply admiring someone's qualities, achievements or abilities) (another definition: due regard for the feelings/traditions/rights/wishes of others) teachers be like *teach* so fam, let's take some notes, get out a pencil *kid* uhh I forgot mine, really sorry, just an honest mistake *teach* omg disrespect
In high school my math teacher started the year by telling us that the rumors of sexual harassment about him were completely untrue, then promptly started to try to show us a math problem using a student's skirt length as an example, with plenty of details about how it enhanced her legs. Let's just say we lived in a pretty warm area but never forgot to wear baggy jeans and big sweaters to his class
The teachers I had before I graduated one told me during an asthma attack that I'm in control of my breathing and that I didn't need my inhaler. The other pulled me aside after school and lectured me about how coming to school was important (I was in hospital and was homebound)
Does she not understand what an asthma attack is? If I had an asthma attack ide probably not even have an inhaler on me cause I like never have asthma attacks I haven’t had one in a long time
My gosh....that's like telling a person having an panic attack "you are in control of your anxiety"....like no they aren't, if they were, they would not be panicking?!?
One time a teacher yelled at this girl bc of a good drive Her father just died and her mother was a stay at home mom struggling for a job.. she was the one we were donating too
As a teacher from Argentina I can relate to some stories but also can´t understand why is it so common in the US to humiliate or put students against each other instead of teaching them to cooperate and work together. It´s a very stressful but satisfying job, and MUCH easier when you have the students on your side.
I had several teachers who liked to shame and laugh at students for their mistakes in homework/tests in front of the whole class. I am still struggling with fear of failure as an adult...
My sport teacher noticed that I have a terrible sense of orientation. So when we went jogging in the forest, he would take a very complicated route and when it was time to turn back he would stop and say: „Now, you have to find the the way out and we will follow you.“ He‘d enjoy seeing me struggling to find the way back and when I finally managed to find the way out he would proceed to tell the hole class how much time we waisted because I didn‘t immediately find the way back. Such an a-hole! Luckily for me the hole class hated him, so I never got in any trouble with my classmates. Seriously, what an ass!
My history teacher was really nice, she never made us do too much, y'know? she was pretty chill with loud classrooms, and usually let us snack during videos. until last year. she became a whole different person. it was odd at first when she forced us to be silent, but i guess we all just forgot when she was a decent teacher. she shouted, and blamed her students for minor things, like when she was late, or when she forgot to print an extra sheet. she used to be organised, now she was just strict. she told me once to set up tables and sharpen pencils, other wise i'd get a point debunked. after all, her classroom was huge. so to be asked such a major task was annoying. i of course did it, i was a teachers pet at the time. what more do you expect?
I once had a substitute teacher catch me doing another class’s homework, so she tore my paper in half for not paying attention. She was never invited to be a substitute teacher again.
Nothing crazy, but I have had the privilege of having some amazing teachers that have significantly impacted my life. Most noticeably, my forth grade teacher who helped with my adhd, my environmental science teacher in high school who is just the most chill and awesome guy to learn science from, and my English teacher in high school who helped push my writing skills to the max. I've been lucky more than unlucky when it has come to teachers, and I'm grateful for that.
Aww, me too. I had teachers who hated me for no reason and I hated back at, but I always remembered the best ones. My 4th grade teacher who tried to help me be good in math (I failed, but she was patient and even offered to travel from her home to mine for extra-classes on the weekends). My 7th to 9th grade Math teacher who helped me become good in math (like 27% to 90% good), my other senior high school math teacher who made me a pro, my shs arts teacher (another patient and kind woman), my shs English teacher (she was a nun, which was rare for her to be nice to a bunch of hormonally-charged and possessed students and almost all of my lecturers in the university.
Progamer1013 my fourth grade teacher who caused me unbearable stress stomach aches. Glad yours were better, makes me feel better that not everyone went through that.
I had amazing teachers who helped me get my grades up and pass my classes. They believed I could achieve greatness and knew I was smart because if I was interested I'd be able learn very easily, i just need to focus on what they gave and I'd succeed. Now Im trying to improve even more in highschool making sure I make my parents proud when I go to college and be succesful.
Once I had a teacher who was a middle school teacher and basketball coach. During the time I had him as a teacher, I was having a rough time with another student and I told him about. He did nothing about and when I found out he didn't,I told my mom about. She went up to the school and called that teacher out right in front of all the class(it was 32 students) and he made a BIG mistake. He stood up for the student that was giving me trouble. My mom was so close to slapping him in front of 12-13 year olds. Turns out other students also had problems with him being a creep to the girls and mean to the kids that stood up for themselves so he got fired and had to leave. After he left I got revenge on that kid that was giving trouble.
I'm in 9th grade and I haven't come across any teachers that were... too horrible, at least to me My 1st grade teacher didn't know that a dog was a noun and had to literally go ask another teacher- And my 4th grade teacher threw a chair at another girl in my class
Oh God the first grade teacher 😅 My own English teacher forgot the spelling of "banana" and kept writing "bana" (Even funnier because in Hindi, the main language of most of us, it means "made" 😅)
Why do teachers do that I mean I have social anxiety so I basically crumble under pressure of LESS THEN HALF AN HOUR OF TIME TO PRESENT and you want me to present in front of the WHOLE CLASS. I don't think so.
LonelyWolf 23915 as someone who is shy myself and who would rather not get the center spotlight, social anxiety is no excuse not to present in front of the class. You can’t go your whole life hiding in a corner. I learned that the hard way when I first went to college and eventually got my first job.
Reder Khalifa its a god point but I physicality have a break down when i have to present anything. I will sweat and be close to tears from my anxiety. Teachers do have to be more understanding about these sorts of things and realise they cant just push kids to do this stuff.
I have an awful teacher currently. She teaches science and has a thick accent. Now, there’s nothing wrong with having an accent, but it’s like she doesn’t try to help us understand her. She just thinks we should. She calls every other subject useless and that science is all you need. She constantly insults us and tries to put us in relationships (even if one or both the people are in a relationship. She calls us “hormonal sex-driven zombies.” There was this one time when she gave us free time if we completed our homework. I decided to get out my sketchbook and draw. When she came up to me, she was like, “What are you doing?” I went, “I’m drawing.” “No no! You cannot do that! That is a waste of time!” Me, already angry at her, said: “I’m sorry art is my passion and I plan on making a career out of it.” And I kid you not, she responds with this, “That is a waste! Art will get you nowhere! You will be homeless in the future! Become a engineer!” I swear I was, and am, so angry at that lady. She literally insulted one of her coworkers (the Visual Arts teacher, which is a core class). I don’t know if this is bad to you, but it is to me.
Do you know what they call and engineer who can't draw or sketch??? A piss poor teacher... (not kidding either... lolz) Seriously, though, SKETCHING and drafting are CORNERSTONES of engineering degrees, especially in fields like Civil or Mechanical engineering... The fact is, that words and descriptions can only get you so far, when trying to convey the intricate workings of a project, like a robot, or machine... or even a bridge, a simple bridge! Think about that... What do you do when the principles cited, and descriptive terms don't get the visuals across, to "sell" a project idea to a corporation? You absolutely HAVE TO DRAW the thing... Then you can get "ordinary" people to understand what you're talking about, and they can help you develop a "working model" and THEN you can convince companies to fountain millions of dollars into this neat new flashy kind of bridge (or whatever)... Because they SEE that it can work. SO seriously, that's what they call an engineer who can't draw... Because even without the "tools of the trade" for drafting, an engineer DAMN well better be able to sketch out an idea, label parts, fill in directional "force and vector" arrows, and explain the principles of his bridge... or he can just quit being an engineer. OR (tl;dr) more simply put... Those who can DO. Those who CAN NOT, teach. ;o)
I had two teachers who always picked me when I didn't know the answer to properly humiliate me in front of everyone else. I didn't even have my hand raised like so many others who knew. One teacher was really weird and wanted most of the girls in class on his lap while playing guitar. He offered me but I didn't want to because it was creepy. I was being teased for that because apparently I was the only one who thought it was weird for an adult male to want young student girls on their lap. The principal was strange too, he stole every student's shoes and hid them in a sack and then hid them away so most students couldn't get home.
@@grenade8572 The principal hid the students shoes because someone pressed the fire alarm button and it is very expenssive for the school to pay when that happens. No one came forward when they were basically threatening them so they could punish them. Instead, punish everyone, so what the principal did was steal everyones shoes when it was during last hour and make the students lose the bus. Punishment for everyone. The worst part is, that guy is still a principal to this day.

So I went home, however my sister missed it because she couldn't find her shoes. I ended up explaining to my mom that she had to drive and pick her up. I am not sure why the principal wasn't punished for this act.
My 5th grade teacher yelled at me for finishing a test in 5 minutes. She made me wait 15 minutes to review my answers. I didn’t change anything and got a 100%. She then made me thank her for allowing me to get a 100%. God, how I wanted to move on to the next grade.

No one said anything then, my twin sis was in the library with my class so she said I wasn't then the teacher got her to stand up IN FRONT OF EVERYONE! and said again "is she having a tantrum!?!?" The whole point of giving to a charity is that you're doing it if you can out of the kindness of your heart, and not because it's mandatory. Humiliating someone for not giving could possibly make them not want to donate because they could connect the trauma with charity/giving. At least, that's how it would work for me, idk about others.
No
Especially that usually or people are poor si why would they throw a few dollar, or they had a bad experience with charity(once when my mom was volunterring for a charity, they told her to put aside some toys, so that they keep them for their own action, not the one people have donated for), and sometimes they might be greedy. Technically humiliating someone to give to charity probably work, but only one time.

Back in 10th grade I tried to tell a teacher privately that I was gonna miss 2 consecutive classes and she lost her shit on me.
I had a spanish teacher in collage who wold hand out detentions if you homework was less than 75 percent correct
Sounds like you had my old Spanish teacher. All I remember is her constantly talking about her personal life, marriage, and religion.
THIS MAN SPEAKS THE TRUTH

Truuue, I think I was in fourth grade and my class was in the library, we had partners.
My partner was my friend who was bad with English
The assignment was about writing a story and picking pictures and a cover for it etc.
She was shy and barely spoke through the whole thing, but I DID ask her "is this ok.. How about this?" and she would nod,
I'd ask her what to type and everything when it came her time.
The class came to an end and the substitute teacher we had asked my partner "did you get a chance to write?"
Keep in mind she didn't know English very well and was probably confused
She answered "mm.. No"
I heard her say this and when the teacher walked away I FREAKED OUT, I thought I would get a bad grade or the teacher would think less of me if she thought I was selfish!
I did everything in my power to get my partner to tell the teacher "actually, yeah I did write"
I think she did end up telling the teacher that.
But apparently the teacher heard me asking my partner that and YELLED at me in front of the entire class in the hallway for MANIPULATING A STUDENT... I walked away with my face red and almost about to cry

A REAL CONVERSATION I HAD WITH A TEACHER

Cotton Swirl wow the teacher just disregarded her own speech.

Anyone else remember how in elementary school every teacher always said random stuff was disrespectful?
Me: *breathes*
Elementary school teachers: dIsReSpEcT
Me: I'm sorry for what I said
Teacher: Now why are you using that language young man?!?!
Me: ...
Teacher: Don't talk back to me!
pretty much every teacher for every grade says random stuff is disrespectful
(definition of respect: deeply admiring someone's qualities, achievements or abilities)
(another definition: due regard for the feelings/traditions/rights/wishes of others)
teachers be like
*teach* so fam, let's take some notes, get out a pencil
*kid* uhh I forgot mine, really sorry, just an honest mistake
*teach* omg disrespect
The same teacher that got fired for drinking on the job wouldn't let a class of 5th graders drink water while she talked because it was disrespectful
The new style is simpler..but cuter.
It's great!
Yeah me too!
Yeah! I was surprised when they all uploaded on the same day!
I love it too!!
Silver Red definitely it’s AWSOME
In high school my math teacher started the year by telling us that the rumors of sexual harassment about him were completely untrue, then promptly started to try to show us a math problem using a student's skirt length as an example, with plenty of details about how it enhanced her legs. Let's just say we lived in a pretty warm area but never forgot to wear baggy jeans and big sweaters to his class
That is the most hilarious thing I have ever read.
The teachers I had before I graduated one told me during an asthma attack that I'm in control of my breathing and that I didn't need my inhaler.
The other pulled me aside after school and lectured me about how coming to school was important
(I was in hospital and was homebound)
wow if you graduated confront your teacher
Those lessons on self-esteem and other mental health DO NOT apply to asthma >:(
Does she not understand what an asthma attack is? If I had an asthma attack ide probably not even have an inhaler on me cause I like never have asthma attacks I haven’t had one in a long time
My gosh....that's like telling a person having an panic attack "you are in control of your anxiety"....like no they aren't, if they were, they would not be panicking?!?

As a teacher from Argentina I can relate to some stories but also can´t understand why is it so common in the US to humiliate or put students against each other instead of teaching them to cooperate and work together. It´s a very stressful but satisfying job, and MUCH easier when you have the students on your side.

She was never invited to be a substitute teacher again.
ouch, serves them right tho

Student: I have social anxiety.
Teacher: Ok, now present your project in front of the whole class
Why do teachers do that I mean I have social anxiety so I basically crumble under pressure of LESS THEN HALF AN HOUR OF TIME TO PRESENT and you want me to present in front of the WHOLE CLASS. I don't think so.
LonelyWolf 23915 as someone who is shy myself and who would rather not get the center spotlight, social anxiety is no excuse not to present in front of the class. You can’t go your whole life hiding in a corner. I learned that the hard way when I first went to college and eventually got my first job.
*Instant Panic Mode*
Reder Khalifa its a god point but I physicality have a break down when i have to present anything. I will sweat and be close to tears from my anxiety. Teachers do have to be more understanding about these sorts of things and realise they cant just push kids to do this stuff.
Oof
(not kidding either... lolz)
Seriously, though, SKETCHING and drafting are CORNERSTONES of engineering degrees, especially in fields like Civil or Mechanical engineering...
Those who CAN NOT, teach. ;o)
Secretly record her and send the video/or audio to the principal. Revenge is tasty AF
Visual Arts is a core class?
Where is your school?

THAT LITTLE FAT BI-
I had two teachers who always picked me when I didn't know the answer to properly humiliate me in front of everyone else.
The second teacher give me bad vibes, but I thini the scariest one is the third because... why? What?
@@grenade8572 The principal hid the students shoes because someone pressed the fire alarm button and it is very expenssive for the school to pay when that happens. No one came forward when they were basically threatening them so they could punish them. Instead, punish everyone, so what the principal did was steal everyones shoes when it was during last hour and make the students lose the bus. Punishment for everyone. The worst part is, that guy is still a principal to this day.
@@IamAwsomeYouAreNot Okay.. but how did they get back home. I mean in my school we don't have phones, or anything, and our busses leave us if we are even a minute late..
@@Straws_in_Berries Back then, there was phones so they could call their parents to get back home. I on the other hand managed to reach the bus in time.

And then this WONDERFUL teacher called my anxiety attack a *tantrum!* and then turned around to the classes in the library and said "is she having a tantrum!?" No one said anything then, my twin sis was in the library with my class so she said I wasn't then the teacher got her to stand up IN FRONT OF EVERYONE! and said again "is she having a tantrum!?!?"
