Hi guys, these episodes out on traditional land with the young fellas are the best, I really like seeing the way food is prepared and also the other plants that can be consumed. But what really gives these particular vids a special feel is the background music, with that didgeridoo playing I could watch for hours. You two are so blessed to be invited onto their land and what a great bunch of blokes they are.
We certainly are hey, I don’t take that for granted. The Kokomenjena mob are amazing people, we had so much fun out their on country exploring with them and seeing their homelands. Glad you’re all enjoying it too. 🙏🏼
Absolutely froth every week for your new episodes! I personally love all the episodes lately with the traditonal owners of the land, food prep (catch n cook ect), and the fishing of course! Keep up the great quality content
Legends! Another really cool ep mate! I’m loving this series Nath! Bit of fishing, bit of history, so much culture!! Which is the bit I’m really enjoying! A chilled out day, fishing and eating Barra over the coles! How bloody special man! I bet you loved this week or so in particular Nath, I can tell by the enthusiasm in your voice! Can really see your passion for it mate! Btw I love all of the content mate! Bluewater camping all the way to the spear making with traditional owners! A great balance of content! I do particularly love the tinny missions though! P.s. best shirt I have ever seen! 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 Froth on legend
That’s mate, I enjoy making the variety of content but I think I love the tinny stuff the most too and interacting with all the clans throughout Cape York, you’re right that really means a lot to me and I just love learning more about their culture. Glad to have you with us Jay! 🤙🏼
Excellent to watch. More of the bushtucker, the cooking over the fire, fishing. We the viewers are sitting in the lounges watching you on Tv and picturing ourselves being out there with you. Awesome boys
You Legends!! These episodes with traditional owners and young fellas are awesome. A pretty river system with some get structure for sure..the episodes are so special and informative. Glad to see how the ways are still being passed on to future owners..love it and Nath I apologize I missed the "tinny naming" zoom meeting...I'll try to get on the next one..all the best boys, waiting for next week
Hi guys, apologies for not commenting on the last few episodes. Been watching them on the tele and wouldn't have a clue how to comment on it. These episodes have been amazing. The interaction between you all is amazing. Just shows what respect can do. Really enjoyed the spear making. It makes you wonder how and when the resin was discovered. Such a beautiful place too. And the fishing, yeah. Keep up the great videos. I think that you've got the mix pretty good. A little blue water stuff mixed in with the creeks, rivers, camping, cooking, exploring, etc, etc, etc. Still want to see the black headed python clip. As long as it has two eyes. 🤔
Haha I don’t think we ever found that footage… 🤷🏼♂️. Pretty amazing about the resin hey, all of that knowledge is crazy, how old is it? Thousands of years I assume. The only thing that’s changed is the cotton in place of fig twine and the Steel in place of Tallow wood or stone
Just more of everything please, city driving country trekking, fishing the blue, all of it is awesome, ma6be post a bloopers and funny vid. But l9ve all your work and freinds of the land.
OK Nath, you asked for us to comment on what content we’re liking so here’s my preference. I prefer the remote bush, quad bikes, tinny and 79 stuff. I’m not so interested in then large boat / blue water stuff. Keep up the good work.
Love it all !!.....don't change a thing !!......Once again epic Vid.....missed you last Friday even had my drink ready...lol....how good is technology.....the drone footage is spot on !! n forgot the go pro....PMSL !!
All the above. You have great content's. No matter wether your on dry land or out on the sea. So great. Don't change a thing. And it is great how you are bringing the true stories about the indigenous people of Australia. ❤❤
Again and again! KILLER CONTENT! Wild reaches is the only channel that does the deep dive into the culture, technique and history :) never change. I just ask to keep seeing more of the same. Maybe let us all know a GoFundMe for the museums that protect the old ways? There’s already so many catch and cook run and dive solo missions out there. That’s cool but wild reaches there’s like only one of you doing your work! When I get more money in I’m donating to you all! Patron? You mates are the real deal! As for this episode loved the drone shots, DrDane saying young pups 😂 - seeing the cook ups and the utilization of all of the fish :) really solid work my friends! Please just keep being you and I promise big good things are coming! W.R.Adventures on the world stage :) sorry I’m late here I have a toddler - he’s always frothing for adventure
Michael, thanks mate 🙏🏼, so nice to hear that our content is coming across the way I want it to. And spreading as far as Chicago. I appreciate any support, even just watching and commenting, it all helps as you know brother. Heaps more of this stuff to come, the trip I’m planning right now is going to be amazing. 🤙🏼
Hello! What happened last week? Loved this episode today very good. We were very impressed with Dane catching the Barra already gutted, we can't beat that!!. That gut looked a bit rough Nath, looked a bit like the chewing gum what used be under our old school desks, probably taste the same 🙄. The fish looked great cooked on the fire, reminds me when my mother in law used to breath on my fishfingers, they were always cooked to perfection!!🤣. Cheryl said is your bright new shirt frightening the fish?. Take care until next time, we really enjoyed it today...🍻🍻
Haha yes Cheryl let’s go with that cause it wasn’t my fishing skills… mate you better be careful, your mother in law might be watching and reading these comments 😬.. sorry about last week, I’m flat out prepping for this next trip.
I have never done Patreon before. I only make a modest income being self employed but I decided to support your endeavors. However, your videos are so respectful of the lands, the opportunities and nature. It is very inspirational to watch and share your enthusiasm for every adventure. Keep up the awesome work and content.
Just keep doin what yas are doin mate, I live up fnq but I don’t get up the cape anywhere near enough that I should so it’s always good to watch your eps to give me more motovation !
Its amazing how much there is to explore there. Having spent some time in Queensland I can tell I am not done with Australia. I MUST get to the far northern territories. MUST.
Hey mate , keep doing what your doing, don't need change anything up , it's all awesome content and absolutely wow mate I'm very impressed on how all this is coming together for you your mind and connection with the country and I have so much interest in the same things you do as living it and doing it as you keep it all coming together and I'm all positive feedback for you as i never feel negative or disagree with any thing that your doing, well I think don't ever go along with someone else ideas or thoughts or making decisions in the country your so level headed not getting sidetracked and it so easily can happen,I think all the fishing and camping and cooking ATM I'm thanking you on filming and you are very talented as shows your experienced and dedicated and focused 👍 so good bro on the big screen,,. I'm thinking easily your no.1 I am just wondering how does it feel like fishing an living the dream, 👍👍👍 I'm tools down ATM Barra fishing any chance I get.. North Queensland 👍
Was in Kununurra in 88 I was 17, dad and my cuz were laying carpet in the police station. They dropped me off on the Ord one morning to fish for the day with a couple who lived on the bank..Dutch I think.. they were fantastic. Taught me indigenous craft etc go figure.. Epic day though. I caught my first Barra cooked it on the coals, kept the stomach fat sack in for flavour.... they said it was the traditional way It was awesome.. Great episode lads Looking forward to the next Drift.....
How cools that mate, that that experience has stuck with you all those years. That’s what life is about I reckon and then trying to give that same experience to someone else one day.
love tinny missions, bank fishing, and learning about the traditional owners of the land. However its all good. Keep it up Nath and Dane. Question Ive always wondered, do you guys get ticks on you out there?
Thanks Nate and Dane.. Great episode as per usual guys. So great to see you both enjoying life the way it should be enjoyed. And with younger lads teaching you life.. You're doing such a fanfukintastic job with this channel.. I hang every week for a new episode.. The smiles you bring and laughs you get from me.. And look it is your channel, do what you feel comfortable with.. don't change, don't become a ybs.. Your channel and content are way more enjoyable to watch.. Cheers again boys and a big thanks.. And please consider the $5 patreon level as well... would love to help out some how but being on a carers payment I can not afford much more than that a month..
Hey Bryan, mate we appreciate the support you give just commenting and watching each week so Thankyou 🙏🏼. So nice to hear you’re really enjoying it. I hope the content stays the same but just gets better! I plan for it to happen that way 🤓
Growing up in Darwin we were always dodging frillys around primary school and teachers always warned of their whipping tails. The arrival of the cane toad quickly decimated their population - can't remember the last time I saw one!
Love your videos dude, another random fact from Capok is, it’s very buoyant so they use it in life jackets now too, but best is a great dubbing material for Dry Flies so is used now as dubbing material in fly fishing 😊😊😊
Hey mate I see you are getting ready for you next trip just a tip if you don’t want anything to rust spray cooking oil on it and it won’t rust and do it twice a year and your trailer or truck won’t rust
Your show is awesome. I’ve watched many episodes. My only criticism is that you need to sort out your audio. Too often you can barely hear anyone who’s not near the camera. Either have to put captions on or the tent volume up so hi that when the advertisements come on the telly is screaming at me

So true 👍 👌
More content with the traditional owners and their culture is ALWAYS a good thing. This is getting better with every episode imo.
Awesome to hear Teddy.
Like to see the young fellas in their own world sharing it with us. I envy them
They have a good life out there
Absolutely froth every week for your new episodes! I personally love all the episodes lately with the traditonal owners of the land, food prep (catch n cook ect), and the fishing of course! Keep up the great quality content
That’s great to hear Patrick, thanks mate
Its amazing how much land and river systems cape york has to offer.. not enough hours in the day..
Great episode guys..
Thanks Mate, I agree, not enough hours. Not enough days in the month, not enough months in the year… etc so much to explore in this life!

Growing up in Darwin we were always dodging frillys around primary school and teachers always warned of their whipping tails. The arrival of the cane toad quickly decimated their population - can't remember the last time I saw one!
That’s sad hey, they’d wiped out a lot of our amazing native critters and they’re in plague portions in parts of Northern Aus. It sucks
Thanks for the tip mate
yeah cool your trailer setup is looking good ! what happenend to the tinny ? got covered in mud ? looks like a good launch spot
good cook up
Yeah must be just mud. It got hammered over on the east coast of the cape behind the quad
Nice one lads!
Thanks Sean!
Definitely all of the above
👌🏼
Hey mate, since you are building a new boat are you ever going to sell your old stessco tinny?
Not sure yet mate
Great little video and cool to see couple of the boys that used to live with us for school. You got Denrick's name wrong - Denrick not Dendrick.
Your show is awesome. I’ve watched many episodes. My only criticism is that you need to sort out your audio. Too often you can barely hear anyone who’s not near the camera. Either have to put captions on or the tent volume up so hi that when the advertisements come on the telly is screaming at me

100% more of the bush tucker and edible plants etc. A lot of us can hunt and catch fish but have no idea of the other things.
Would love to know how to tighten that bloody handbrake - cheers!
