You are probably the only youtube I seen that actually explained the process nice and easy for someone with a simple brain like me. I am trying to make a anime character using the body; and had a anime head sculpt; but no way to connect it! I just bought the connectors, and this week, my 2 month project will be complete! Thank you so much for the information! God bless and merry Christmas!!!

You did a great job, this is hard for anyone to do, including me who "can't" do it yet because I'm still young.

Nice tutorial, dude. Im going to do the same thing with a couple of head sculpts myself. With that said! I think you made it a bit more difficult for yourself than what it needed to be to be honest. I did a test run on a cheap head sculpt a few weeks back, and I just started by cutting the neck straight off at chin level, and then I slowly carved my way down with the knife. I also used a different neck adapter than the one you used here. Mine are just plain round and fits perfect on the TBL body neck peg. It was ever so slightly smaller in diameter compared to the hole in the head, but a couple of rounds with tape fixed that. One thing I definitely learned during the process, is that dreml tools is your friend LOL. Sanding/grinding down is far better than cutting. So I think my project is going to go alot smoother than what my test run did.

That makes total sense haha. Great info to keep in mind for the future! Thanks!

Nice, but what if I want to keep the long neck? I mean the head sculpt is bald, and I don't wanna see the seam on the neck. Is that possible?

That gives me hope! I found a head I really want to use in my custom. But it has that attached neck part. And I personally don’t like connector for this type of head. Especially if I’m planning to do some photos with neck/chest area exposed.
I’ll try your method. Results are amazing!

Thank you, it was pretty useful! I wasn't sure if it was possible but now I will try it !

No problem! Make sure to heat the head up first. Makes it 100x easier

I'm bulding a Max Payne figure and i found a headsculpt that kinda looks the character from the first game. The headsculpt comes with a leng neck and I'm about to slice the neck too.

I eventually plan to do this with that very same head!

Why didn’t you warm the head up with hot water before start? Good tutorial overall.

Thank you so much for this. I've been wanting to make a figure with a custom head for a while but the only head sculpt I can find has the neck like this. I can't find any video anywhere else that helps.

Well not sure how to ask without showing you a picture but what if I had a head with the neck like yours and didn't want to use a phicen body because of the ease of things sticking to it etc.

How would you work with like an action figure body that has like a hollowness around the neck area into the chest?

    • @FramebyFrameFigures
      @FramebyFrameFigures  ปีที่แล้ว

@@jessicae675 You mean a figure that has no neck?? Or one that has a little stump?

Great tutorial! Where can I find some gloves like yours? And which shade did you choose for your body?

Thank you! The skintone I have is suntan. As for the gloves, they are some mountain bike gloves I got on Amazon, affiliate link here: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077M5P718/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&_encoding=UTF8&tag=framebyframef-20&linkCode=ur2&linkId=e3970cb9156489451e802efabcca57a7&camp=1789&creative=9325&th=1&psc=1

This could've been done in less than 10 mins with a Dremel.

Tb league/Phicen bodies totally rule! Totally!

100% nothing else comes close imo except I think I saw a body once that was 100% seamless. Even the head was non-removable and it had articulated fingers but I can't seem to find it again...or confirm whether I actually saw it 😂🤔

You might also try a dremel tool to hollow out the chin area.

I don't think you really thought this through !, very ' ham fisted' , l agree with 'Sonderstudio', you made it look so....much harder than it was ! , infruriating! , don't get me started on the focus!

Also those gloves wouldn't be needed with a Dremel!, distracting.
