- Tito has been saving up some money to buy new toys so I brought him to the pet store to let him pick out a couple. He brought his cat friend along to enjoy the experience as well! He was nice enough to share with his new toys with his cat and dog friends! It was an investment well spent making his friends happy!

I had a pet raccoon for 3 years. She was insane but super caring too. They LOVE to play and they’re actually pretty clean animals. It’s not a case of ‘taming’ one, it’s more trying to understand them and a huge game of persuasion. Raccoons are 60% hyperactive toddler 30% drunk person and 10% hoarders
Racoons are going down the exact same evolutionary path as dogs. Starting as scavengers and becoming a part of the home.
But raccoons have thumbs so maybe one day they will surpass us when we leave earth

They don't need people, so they don't appreciate the little sacrifices that we think will impress them. Having a cat requires full selflessness. You hust have to like them and not expect gratitude. They like being liked for who they are and appreciate genuine interest in them, but only if they're convinced of it. They don't like needy people and don't need us that much. I guess they like being wanted, not needed, but at the same time being wanted by them is a special feeling.

@@julier92 a lot of dogs dont love the dog beds they get anyway or dont use them even if they orginally "loved" them at the store. I think sometimes the human perception of love is different. My chihuahua sits next to her bed. She sandwiches herself between the nearest wall or tall surface and her bed. She does use her bed sometimes though.

I thought that, for a raccoon, he was extremely well mannered amongst all of those goodies as far as the eye can see. Tito is so accepting of humans. I like that they keep a bowl of water under the water fountain. With Tito around nobody is a stranger. I really enjoy Tito and Cheeto.
