I got my Pirate and t205 today, thank you so much, happy to be a member of the MidLife community. I'm always shocked at some of these under $50 videos, but never more so that today. The Dick Allen SGC 5 is crazy, and the 64 Giant Clemente is extra nice at that sweet, sweet price.
@8:55. This is a good buy. Mantle and Maris for around 50 dollars. It's been said, time and time again. The league leader cards continue to remain under appreciated. And, I wouldn't say it's even a secret. Maybe for next year's rendition of the TH-cam sport card hall of fame, we can have some of the league leaders, or combos and multi player cards on the ballot. The Aaron, Clemente and Mays also featured in your video, would be a fine choice too, imo.
Awesome recap, Graig. The two cards that jumped out most to me for the price were the '67 Clemente (a great eye-appeal VG) and the '66 Allen (just a fantastic looking card, one that is now on my radar). Thanks for sharing!
Just received my autographed Captain Midlife card and T206 and I loved the envelope with the Aaron stamp. Thanks so much they are fun and special! I love the 1969 Topps Football set as I own the set plus tons of extras. My Namath is a PSA 8, Sayers PSA 7, and Piccolo PSA7.
Hi Graig. It is amazing to see the deals out there. You are 100% right when it comes to the amazing football cards. Some unbelievable deals on all of them. They were all beauties. Thanks for sharing my friend.
Thx for Cpt Midlife and T206 cards and PS card and products. I’ll check them out. Can you tell us who printed your cards. Really nice quality. Thx again!!
Graig, I'm not sure if you've noticed a trend in the sports memorabilia or really all memorabilia category --- autographed if verified/certified items (cards, photos, jerseys, pucks, baseballs, footballs, basketballs, bats) and when signed by HOF and/or iconic/All-Time great players continue to go up --- it's supply and demand, obviously
Awesome video, as always! Totally off topic but as I am currently reading “Baseballs Big Train” Walter Johnson, I thought of you as I am learning that Roger Peckinpaugh was more than a teammate of Johnson’s but a good friend. Roger was a pall bearer for Johnson. Just wanted to share, as I thought it was interesting and knew you Collected Rogers cards as Part of your Yankee coaches collection. Take care!!
Great video Graig! I have a question for you and for all collectors, when doing a player run, do you collect just individual cards, certain brands, or everything they are on?
It really just depends on what you want to collect. For example, I am working on a Hank Aaron playing days run (remind you I will never probably have the rookie because of the cost). I am choosing to collect not only the base tops, but his one 55 Bowman and all of the subsets like leader cards, All-Star cards, and dual cards, for example, with mays mantle or banks. I know collectors that are only doing the base cards or only doing tops. Each person‘s Completionist goals will be different. I just felt like the subsets added interest allow me to pick up cards that have other great players on them.
This video makes it very tempting for me to get into vintage football…stay strong Shane, stay strong…🤣 Really appreciate the time and research you put into these, Graig.
I got my signed Captain Midlife and T206 this week. Much appreciated Graig, they look awesome. Thanks for your dedication to this channel, always great content
Most of Graig's audience, and maybe TH-cam card community in general...isn't that interested in those cards. A missed opportunity imo, but a good buy for those, who do appreciate them.
Grading is a great service if it is at the $10 level. You get a nice slab and it makes for easier transactions. The issue is a lot of cards at the 3/4 grade level are being graded at $15/$20 or more and would sell for the same price graded. A lot of people are losing money grading these cards by not knowing what grade the card will receive.
Two questions, Craig. 1) What's the name of Capt. Midlife's pirate ship? I bet its flag is the Jolly Roger. Get it? 🤣 2) Do you think such a list is possible with fixed-price listings? These auctions with silly-low prices, I always feel bad for the sellers, even if I am the winning bidder.
I like the Jolly Roger flag idea. Boat name.....I'm thinking "MidLife Delight".... I could investigate fixed price sales as well, but it's a super labor intensive process to dig for deals like that, and that would double it. So, for now...I focus on auction sales.
@@MidLifeCards No, I know that. I was just musing if a fixed-price list under $50 was even possible. I have certainly grabbed quite a few this year with best offers, but not 40 in a month!
Hi Mid Life ! Love you videos ! Check out the 1978 Topps Lou Whitaker PSA 10 values - Selling for over $3,500 recently - Up from $1,500 a year ago. Thoughts on this?
Yeah the hobby is ruined. Like most things, take something good and then get greedy. So then a few only corner the market and capitalize and control it. Makes small timers and kids not be able to enjoy card collecting
Gotta spend all your money on the modern Kaboomies, those guys are all gonna win 10 titles before they retire! Don't waste your money on the old retired guys, they sucked! --- my best attempt at online sarcasm

Thanks, my friend. Super glad they got there safely.
Great video Graig! It amazes me how cheap these vintage football cards of all time greats are selling for. Wow
Bro.... Vintage football is like prewar....once it sucks you in, it's addictive.

Plenty of great opportunities under $50!
😊👊
I think many of us forget that the majority of collectors live in this price range. Tracking these allows us to see what's really happening out there.
@@MidLifeCards i looked on sgc site it does say $50 for oversized.but that was the email I received..i never sent the card
I obviously need to be searching more with “SGC” as a term rather than PSA in order to uncover some of this stuff.
SGC does seem to still be the most affordable.
Time to get with the sgc program
The 1961 Topps AL HR Leaders card was my purchase. Thought it was a great card for leading into the 1961 home run battle
GREAT buy!!
Thanks so much for your videos, your contagious enthusiasm, & last but not least, the cards that arrived. They are great 🎉❤
You're very welcome!
Hi Graig, thanks for keeping us updated on these sales. You can find bargains if you look.
My pleasure.
Thanks for keeping me informed about the current price of vintage football (especially). There’s some great cards in this video-in all sports.
Thanks so much.

Thanks Stephen.
Always love these vids. Have a great weekend Graig.
Thanks Steve. I appreciate you.
I'll definitely be looking for football cards this month.
Those prices were insanity.
I wonder if the vintage FB does better in PSA? All of the cheap vintage FB seemed to be in SGC holders.
I think that's a good observation.
Thx for Cpt Midlife and T206 cards and PS card and products. I’ll check them out. Can you tell us who printed your cards. Really nice quality. Thx again!!
I did it through Vista Print.
@ thx
Everyones after these modern cards.... where the big flip money is.
Unfortunately, you're probably right.

I haven't noticed. But, that's really good to know.

I didn't know that they were good friends. That's really awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Man, this is when I wish I didn’t care about the registry as much as I do. SGC slabs going for bargains and the cards look great.
It's tough to admit that PSA duped all you registry fan boys, isn't it ? LOL
I used to be 100% psa. Now I prefer SGC.
Wow, some great deals this month. No Doby or Campanella this time around. Also, thanks so much for my Pirate Midlife card, Graig!
Glad you got the pirate card!!

@@jamesbailey4686 thank you so much for the insight, I’m looking to do all the 1954 boys such as Hank, Ernie, and Kaline!
Depends on your preference. A lot of people use the list that the PSA set registry uses.

Vintage football is legit. I love it.
The price on that '61 Unitas is insane!
I agree. Mind blowing.
There are lots of big-name players in the cheap cards this month! I never thought I'd see Joe Namath on here for under 50 bucks!
Crazy, huh?

Gave a video like. Always enjoy these, thanks for sharing
Man, I slacked off last month. I would have been all over those Clemente and Aaron cards. Wow.
Crazy deals for sure.
Great information Graig !
Thanks my friend!!
as a 69 Topps basketball collector the West and Baylor cards selling that low is insane!
Most of Graig's audience, and maybe TH-cam card community in general...isn't that interested in those cards. A missed opportunity imo, but a good buy for those, who do appreciate them.
Totally agree.
Sgc topps giants are also !15 to grade
Are you sure. I thought there was an oversize charge.
@ i had a mantle and I emailed them .They got back to me saying all. Cards are $15
@ interesting, because my dad had a 64 Topps giants mantle that he sent to sgc about 2 months ago and they charged him the oversized fee.
No raw cards? What this demonstrates (more than anything) is what a rip-off grading is.

To be fair, my searches don't include raw cards because condition is so unknown from a simple scan.

I think a lot of people think he's likely to make the hall of fame in the near future through the veterans committee. So, I think they're speculating.
A fool and his money are soon parted.
If anyone wants to sell me your vintage fb at them prices please get ahold of me! I’m buying.
Good luck!
