Living in old nw area, you should know it’s Reno high, which is a solid school. Also, it’s Raleys that is close and best option for shopping. As for freeway, 1-2 minutes to access points. For downtown, driving is 2-5 minutes away. Aside from our major park close by, and lots of trees, it’s beauty is hard to match. As for events and hospitals, no other area matches.
Our homes are closer to 600’s on average. Also, many of our homes have huge basements and homes can be 1300-2700 sq. Ft.
Many parts of old NW is zoned for McQueen, but Reno High school is solid as well. Northwest in general is an amazing area, you are right. It is very convenient, which makes it a very popular neighborhood.

I am glad to see the neighborhood I just bought a home in is here, but I had no idea about some of the amenities of the others.
