    What's your favorite Reno neighborhood? My favorite neighborhood is Damonte Ranch because of the schools, amenities, and just how convenient it is.

    Old Southwest is the best! Each home is unique, and older construction means low property tax, mature trees, Truckee river is minutes away, Idlewild and Wingfield parks are close, ( Idlewild has a 50 ft outdoor pool too)I can be downtown by foot in 15 minutes. midtown and California ave have lots of restaurants bars, entertainment etc.

      Thank you! Yes, South Reno is fairly close to Carson City. It only takes about 30ish minutes to get there.

    cool video, can you make the a video introduce the ADU local law and regulation , no one done that yet,

    • @amyburgos4491
      @amyburgos4491  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! ADUs are not really allowed in Reno. You can contact the city of Reno or Washoe County planning.

    The hospital’s correct name is Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center, which should not be confused with Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, Nevada. Thanks for your informative video.

    Two communities that would be of interest to potential customers would be Caughlin Ranch and the Joy Lake Road communities.

      I looked for homes in Reno before, which is why this video was recommended to me. But everyone in the comment section advised me not to move there. They complained about bad schools, low paying jobs, and other socio-economic problems. The location of the city is beautiful though. It should normally attract families.

      @@Jose-sy1je Reno is in the process of changing. Research what companies are moving in...and why.

    Joy Lake Road homes and the surrounding vicinity would qualify. As well as the Caughlin Ranch community. I realize these may not be technically in Reno, but they are immediately adjacent.

    • @amyburgos4491

      You’re absolutely correct those are great communities as well.

    Why is Reno so run down if it's so beautifully located? Normally you would expect loads of people to move there and better paying jobs and schools. Sometimes I think if it was across the state line it would be different. I can't judge though bc I only saw downtown and when I took an interest in moving there people from there told me it's not a family oriented place. No good schools either.

      @amyburgos4491  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Next time you are here, I would encourage you to venture out of the downtown area as there are many areas that are not "run down". There are many popular areas that have beautiful landscapes with views of the Sierra Nevadas and are located near many amenities. There are also highly-rated schools in Reno as well which can be found on greatschools.org. I believe that Reno is a family-oriented place to live. I was born and raised in Reno and I will raise my family here as well.

      @@amyburgos4491 What neighborhoods or regions do you recommend there? They say that Reno may be among the places that had house prices pushed up too much during the pandemic and that they are set to come down there. Just what I read. The area itself is beautiful. I don't understand why they don't create a nice river walk in the city with bars, restaurants, etc. That area is a mess. That city could be so nice and I really wonder why they can't make it better. So many cities in the world to learn from and if a city is growing you can always make so many improvements.

    Is it safe in Reno? I'm Asian. Is there a lot of Asians there?

    • @eastbayhwd1987
      @eastbayhwd1987 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Reno is relatively safe, and the people are friendly. Asian population is relative to where you're relocating from, but I wouldn't say there are a lot of Asian folks, although there is a decent Filipino population. If you're looking for a safe community with diversity, maybe look by UNR.

      My experience living here in Reno my entire life has been generally safe. I haven’t had any issues personally. The Asian community continues to grow each year.

    South Reno sucks. It's a mini California. Northwest Reno is much better.

    • @amyburgos4491
      @amyburgos4491  ปีที่แล้ว

      To each their own. I’ve lived in both parts of town. I grew up in northwest and now live in south Reno. I think they both are great places to live. Thank you for your input.
