Their union exudes love, respect, and transparency. Pastor Keion gets it!!! Therefore, Shaunie wants to submit and submits without hesitation. Men, most women want to be loved and honored is this way. If this occurs, she'll do just about anything you ask of her without a second thought.
I absolutely loved this episode! My husband is optimistic and I’m more of what are the facts (pessimistic). But I love his optimism and it makes me want to see the world through his perspective.

I absolutely love this dialogue! I have been married 27, almost 28 years. I believe many, many marriages, including mine, need these types of conversations. If you are not growing together, you are growing apart. Trust me. God never intended that for marriage. Thank you Pastors for having these conversations. Interesting… However, I don’t know if having a “half empty” glass is necessarily a “bad” thing. Or “half full” glass being a good thing. But in context towards working on the “M” frame marriage, you both find and understand the situation and environment in which the perspective is most conducive. Some environments, especially harsh ones, may require you to put away the “rose-colored” shades and approach decision-making from a realist prospective to get the greatest advantage without being taken advantage of. Whereas other environments may require the presence of much grace and an empathetic approach which would require the idea that “all is well” to provide the safety needed to be graceful. There is a need for both. And not necessarily a need for correction on one part or the other.
