My dear your mini twist are BEAUTIFUL! My hair is in mini twist 95% of the time, I LOOOVE them, and I love watching other women install theirs, amazing job!
Hi, in order to get more volume, it should have been done on semi-stretched hair with big twists, braids or bantu knots.... Blow dried or flat ironed hair is the worst choice to get volume here. We "always" complain about shrinkage but for bouncy twists with some volume, well moisturized hair with some shrinkage is key. I struggle with many african hairstyles, but I am the queen of twists lol. Braiding twists at the roots is useful when you make medium to big twists for mini twists I only do that for the twists which are in the very front and at the very back otherwise you waste too much time doing it and taking it down.
@HereDiianas My hair is in mini twist majority of the time. I always install them on blown out hair, they may start out flat but as time goes on they swell and get fuller. Although mine are full from day one. Eventually the volume will come.
I just twisted my hair over the weekend & used the same process. I don't bother parting the individual sections that I twist. I just part the row across, pinch a section & twist. My hair is long & thick like yours. Initially I thought about braiding the roots, but as someone stated earlier...ain't nobody got time for that! LOL Yours turned out beautiful!
Girl you definitely "Did something "!!!! I love how the black hair just catches the light in those twists. Absolutely beautiful girl. I just took out my braids. Twas a two day job because of all the finger detangling. Things we do for these gorgeous crowns. ❤
Blow-dried gives you longevity and very low volume. Mine look exactly like yours but even smaller; and, I have to wear a hat at work that my big head can fit under😅 i wore my last set for 10 weeks. A miracle for hair w/o extensions. My current set took 14 hrs of twisting for quite small twists-true mini with some almost micro twists. The new growth helps give it some height.
I friggin looooove your twists. They look natural, they're gorgeous! I'm using this as a tutorial because other tutorials I've seen have the hair too bulky, the sections too big or too small... these are 🤌🏾 !
I JUST did mini twist on my hair last night & it took about 4 hours for everything from washing to styling (no breaks)😵💫 My hair isba lil past my bra strap. . Definitely trust the process!! My arms and feet still hurt😂😂🙃 Yours came out soooo well! I enjoyed watching your process🔥🙌🏾
Splitting one of the braided sections can make the takedown harder. Instead, try separating the section into two and split one of those into two. When is time to twist, just combine the two smaller sections, so you don't have to deal with borrowed hair tangles on takedown.
@@eleganceevolved8328 🤭 I'll try! When you do the braided part, start out separating in two sections, like for a regular twist. (II) Then split one of the sections in half to make a total of the sections. One big, two small. (Iii) Braid for a little bit, then combine the smaller sections again to complete the twist. That way, you don't have to split a section in half at the bottom to start twisting. Hope that helps!
Me neither just did mini twists a few days ago for school and went to bed at 1 am 😭😭😭. Do not recommend starting late in the day if you want your beauty sleep.
I spend about 5 days doing mine. Starting on Friday I do the first half of my head in the front then the next day the other front half. Then do the rest sections over the next 3 days. Some times I skip a day. I don’t spend the whole day doing it because I have a 3 year old. Like she said as long as u do the front and back u can hide the middle. I make mine smaller than hers because I have fine hair it makes your hair appear fuller.
Wow, you look so pretty!😍 I absolutely love these mini twists on you; it suits you so well. I also have them right now because I'm trying to grow out my edges, but I don't really style them much. Sometimes I tie them up, and sometimes I leave them loose. 😂
Gorgeous 😍 ❤. I do my mini twists on blowout hair and 1/2 inch small as well. I do back half with mini twists and front half with mini flat twists. I prefer to keep my mini twists as stretched as possible. As the days go by my twists start to look more fuller as they shrink up.
love your make up. its so natural. Please, would you do a beginners make up tutorial or a video of how you got into make up? I'm a beginner and I don't know what to do?
I rather the flat look i twisted my hair for the first time blow dried and stretched it showed my real lenght verse when wet my hair shrinks by half once it dries. People thought i added weave to my hair thats how much lenght i have and its shrinking slowly you can't even tell.
Hi am here from instagram, girl I love your hair. I did my twist one night at the back where big and front smaller but I finished at 3am 😂but yes who send you 😂. New subbie
First of all, I'm gonna say you are beautiful. You are gorgeous, really gorgeous and give God glory for that, He made you wonderfully . Secondly, your hair is beautiful, long, and voluminous. You keep saying the twist gives you a flat look, but it's voluminous and stylish and nice to me. Your crown is amazingly beautiful. You resemble mummy, photocopy. Seriously I love your hair and I'm going to subscribe and like and share. I chanced on your channel today and I must say, I'm loving your vibes...
For more volume, don’t stretch with heat and get your hair damp (not wet) with product when you twist. It will puff up some but not all the way. Also skip the braided root and just use a little bit on jam to have the root and parts looking neat. Last thing, you can put the twists in big loose braids to give it a little more texture and volume. Be care to braid loosely and gently so as not to disturb your twist pattern.
No because didn't you cut your hair like last week and it's already this long?! Mannnn you are truly God's favorite 🥲 I'm about to start twisting mine up right now.
My dear your mini twist are BEAUTIFUL! My hair is in mini twist 95% of the time, I LOOOVE them, and I love watching other women install theirs, amazing job!
Yeah no girl, I have no idea what you're complaining about. This style looks absolutely good, I'm jealous!
Blown out twist always look flatter. For more volume try damp not wet hair so as it dries it expands. Very nice.

Girl, I learned the hard way! If I were to do this again, I'd skip on braiding the roots..unless the twists were slightly bigger.
i always had volume on my hair when i did mini twists after I did a great blow out.

It looks so freaking good!! If I had patience, I'd do this but with loose twists for the volume. It looks beautiful 😍
Yes to looser twists! That's something I would've done differently.
I absolutely love this. I can’t wait for the TWA to get to this length
Enjoy the TWA stage. Minimal single strand knots there. All the best for your growth journey
@@aqua8697 I can definitely agree with this. Even though I have FOMO for longer hair, it is so easy to take care of my hair

Honestly, I love for my styles to lay flat so I would do my mini twists like this from now on
I think these are perfect. You did an excellent job!

Can you explain that again😂

I don’t think she finds time, she makes the time for it. It’s a choice.😊😉
What a beautiful reply. People make time for things that are important for them.

Ikr!!
This is literally how I want mines to look 👀 thank you for the tips!
I just downloaded this video so I could do mine ❤ I’m in love! You look amazing 🎉
Thank you! Just be careful with braiding the roots. It makes the take down process difficult (I talk about that in my follow up wash day vid). :)
I do loose twists. Ur minis are beautiful. And you are gorgeous!
Flat lols great. I hate when I have puffy twist extensions. Your hair looks amazing !!!!
Yeah, I love it so much I wore the same style to work..since my hair is already in mini twist✌️
If your are looking for volume, I would do it with a mouse so it would revert your hair slightly to make it bouncer, but beautifully done as is.
Lesson learned! Thanks for the tip :)

It doesn’t give flat!! It looks so good but girl I don’t have the patience or energy to do it nor to take it down. But wow it looks soo good ❤
I was thinking of doing my hair like this. I’m more excited now after seeing your completed style 💜🙌🏾💜

When you say u leave it in for a month, how do you moisturize ? Do you untwist and retwist? Trying to get a full picture here
I wash the hair with the twists still in. I also speeded in some leave in moisturizer and then oil my scalp.
I posted a video on my IG page if you need to visually see that!
@@roothie__ i have a question.

did you start twisting from the beginning or did you braid then twist?
You are my goals❤🔥

Do you blow dry once a month or every 6 weeks?
