Great question! I did look into using a VR headset but I don't think we're there yet. It'll probably just give you more headache and I wouldn't be surprised if it'd cause some vision problems if you use it for too long, especially lying down. But let me know if you think different!
During the day it's not problem usually. Just open the window blinds if need be. And I don't really have ceiling lights in that room, just a big lamp that I can put wherever
That was very helpful, thank you! Tonight it is my goal to create a lying down setup for my laptop and switch lite only with things I have at home. I did not think of turning the monitor around before, that will help. ❤😊 How is your neck pain now after some month of lying down? I hope you feel much better! For your floor setup I would suggest to put a pillow under your upper legs for better spinal support.
@@codevev Thank you for your reply. I've also created a setup that works with a 10 bucks adjustable laptopstand but writing is quite difficult. I will use it more for free time than for working.
This is a very creative solution and possibly might help me defeat coders' one biggest enemy, the chronic posture pain. But my one concern is, wouldn't it make you sleepy? After an hour or two of screen time, I think one might get sluggish slowly but surely. Are you still using this setup? Did the setup ever make you sleepy?
Yeah that's definitely a concern. I'd say that any position for a long period of time can't be good for you, so it's better to just alternate sitting/standing/lying down. I haven't used it as much as I should though lately but in the beginning I don't think I had a problem being sleepy.
It is! And yes, I believe you have to hold the Option key when you go to System Preferences/Display Settings (or something like that) and an option to change the screen rotation will be presented
Hey are you still doing this? How is your neck feeling now? I'm starting to get neck problems from my work desk and I've tried so many different things.
@@codevevinstead of mounting a bulky laptop you can mount a much lighter tablet using a floor stand tablet holder that’s fully adjustable, then use Parsec/Moonlight/Sunshine to stream your laptop to your tablet.
Yeah I've thought about it. I probably won't be able to use it for work because my employer doesn't allow us to install most of 3rd party apps on our laptops
@ you can use a HDMI to USB-C adapter and it will just be a monitor output. But only 1080p. But much higher resolutions is not realistic anyways id say. Apart from that its pretty good. It allows passthru to see you surroundings and it is very portable and easy to tug away

Modern problems require modern solutions
😂😂😂
Is working lying down ever going to become a norm, as standing desk did?
Legend
Exactly what i need
Great!
Fun video for those with cervical issues. What do you think about adding an XREAL Air 2 Pro to this?

I used to old sony hmz-t1 - it's nice, but heavy (and 720p)
I want newer Xreal/TCL, but price is too high for me
Good stuff 🎉
Thanks!
thank you thank you thank you
Anytime!
how do you manage lighting? Lying down would normally result in you looking directly at your lights
During the day it's not problem usually. Just open the window blinds if need be. And I don't really have ceiling lights in that room, just a big lamp that I can put wherever
Ty I'll try

I honestly haven't been too consistent in using it yet. Thanks for the suggestion about the pillow for the legs though!

@dasEulchen247 Yeah that's why I had to buy that little desk, so I could put the keyboard on it 😀
a split keyboard and a cheap zero gravity chair might help
Don't give the companies any ideas, they'll have us working 9-9
Lol
Honestly 😂😂😂
Doing the same but with wedge on sealing will try to attach the stand to it above my bed a floating laptop 🤌
Nice!
can you link the products you use here or in the description? Maybe an amazon link
Sure, you can find them on codevev.com/#products. Thanks!

Haha sometimes it does

Why?
Hey are you still doing this? How is your neck feeling now? I'm starting to get neck problems from my work desk and I've tried so many different things.
I'm using it on and off. The biggest problem is not having enough screen space. As for the neck it's definitely better than sitting, at least for me
