This is THE best work from home desk setup I've seen. It can be used for gaming as well. It looks like you made your desk look like the shape of a cat's head.
Love the desk! Pro-tip, for anyone doing a similar idea: get a large sheet/tape pieces of paper together, fold them in half and cut half of your shape out. Unfold it, its now perfectly symmetrical, transfer to wood.
Very nice! Good design! You should keep extra foam handy, in case the foam loses its ability to grip the armrests. That cup holder is a nice touch. Gotta have that coffee! 😆☕😆
What a delightful time I've spent enjoying your superb video! Both of you are wonderfully creative with your winning personalities. Thank you aren't adequate words to celebrate my appreciation. Of course, Joy Joy was a purrfect paws as intermission.
Why is this channel and you so ridiculously good? Love the cat loving/purring session at around the 11 50 minute mark. This looks like Wall E movie chairs. Subbed. Also when you sit and roate on the chair? Such a Ron Swanson refrence. Hahaha
This is so dope. Smart customization, extra belly room, cup and snack holder...you nailed it! I think the next best thing would be a "tuck away" storage solution when not in use. How are you storing it? Also, Toni needs her own chair now!
Super cool :) I love your videos, and I appreciate that your projects are down to earth and accessible. The idea of a more ergonomic computer setup has been nagging me forever, so I’m glad you shared this.
That came out beautiful, nicely done! And Toni does a great job with editing. For less chipout with your jigsaw, try bosch's "clean cut" blades. They work great for me. Looking forward to your next project! 🍻
Great project. The getting in and out is tricky, though. Have you tried a slot/niche on the wall so that you can slide the board from and to the chair? Or 3, maybe 4 cables hanging from the wall or ceiling. Just brainstorming. I know that it would probably take much needed room, but you already have to drop it somewhere when not using it, right? Loved your to-go office. I might just give it a try.
The chair desk top - pretty cool! It turned out very nice. I'm surprised you got it right on the first go round, not your usual work ethic, I mean that in a good way, because when you mess up, it's usually very comical. Suggestions - ah....FlexiSpot Ergonomic might be stealing your design, might want to throw a patent on it - ha ha ha! Paint triangles - you need some. They come in a package. Little plastic triangle pieces that hold up/elevate what you're painting or staining. Then....it allows you to flip the piece and do the other side without the annoying drying time. Purchase at - Lowes, Home Depot or Amazon, very inexpensive and one time investment. The shed door - need to put some sort of latch on it so it's not blowing back and forth and possible damaging it. Super cool that you finally got to do a project using your well deserved work shop shed. Nicely done!
Dang! Nifty idea! Curious though, does the computer get hot? If so, there might be "an update" adding cooling fans? But depends on how old the laptop is I guess.
I could work like that for 12 hrs. Did it years ago but it was on my feet for no less than 12 hrs. a day. Graphic Arts / Photography / Printing and all of the FREE SPEACH and PRINT THE FIRST ADMENMENT always going to HAVE IT TAKE CARE and STAY WELL ALL
THAT would be a perfect chair for crocheting in..somewhere to rest my arms at the height/angle that I need..I can have my legs up, so no more swollen ankles from having my legs down...back support for those heavier crochet projects...I doubt though that they'd sell/send them to Australia though...
Great DIY project. I was thinking about dropping $3k on a zero gravity chair, but might try this. My only issue is I have two monitors and need to figure that part out.
It almost looks like the recliners that we have at the movie theatre. You get to stretch out on it, and their has been a few times where it has put me to sleep lol, and that would be perfect for you and Toni to play your video games or would you rather just play on your couch?
Nice! Curious, are you a bit concerned about your laptop sliding off the back for whatever reason? And maybe think of something to add something to keep from sliding off(?). Or, perhaps I’m overthinking it. 😏
Maybe as a precaution but the laptop has rubber at the bottom that doesn’t let it slide back or forward but I try to be mindful when I’m using it to not accidentally yeet it lol
Try removing the top of the arm on one side. Then make it so the table mounts to that arm specifically. Then make it so the table swivels open and closed (some chairs already have swivel arms which could make this easier). Should be fine as long as the table isn't overloaded with a lot of weight. You could probably remove the other arm completely if its sturdy enough on the one side. That would make it significantly easier to get in and out without removing the table completely each time you have to get up and pee.
17:50 - _[mouse issue]_ - I think the best solution would be trackball mouse with steel leg pads and magnetting graphite paint .... or like the original author of that table is said - touch trackpad
13:26 to 13:31 Toni's expression was my first laugh of the day. The portable desk looks super cool. I don't know why but it gives me futuristic desk vibes. (spoiler Im about to age myself) So early- mid 90's when I was a growing Pea pod there was an old animated series with a villain who used a glowing green and black phone to call this guy whose office was directly under his and that guy had a desk like this. He was literally the villian's muse for his evil plans and in every single episode he was always at that desk. it could tilt back, it could spin it even had this switch where he could make it move as if it was an electric wheel chair. The name of the series is gone from my memory but not the memory of it. I was super curious as to how you were going to get in and out before and after use of the desk so super cool we saw that. and the funest part we got to see you working in your new work spot for the first time. I do have a special Update on the shirt. I remember Toni wants to see it . Good news bad news. no one is selling the fabric I even looked online and I cant even find something close So my alternative is stencil art. I'm going to take a shirt and do a pastel skull on it, then with some black paint I'm going to paint the leopard prints on the skull. I'm just waiting for the paints and shirt to arrive after ordering. I can't wait to show you both. I might even give the skull eyes because hollow eyes and the leopard prints that might be too much black and people wont catch that it's leopard print so Im thinking of eyeball designs to add into the hollow sockets of the skull art design.
One obvious tip for templates is to fold the cardboard and only draw one half of the design. Once you cut through the folded cardboard you will have the second side identical to the first

I love that idea, I game on a console but I can see how it would work for gaming too :)

A high chair for adults. I love it!
Hahaha I’ll never unsee it as a high chair now 😂
Love the desk! Pro-tip, for anyone doing a similar idea: get a large sheet/tape pieces of paper together, fold them in half and cut half of your shape out. Unfold it, its now perfectly symmetrical, transfer to wood.
The way my brain cannot comprehend how Tiff did this but I LOVE IT.
This came out wonderful my DIY sista! Great job!!! Tell @flexispot to send you another chair for Toni
I know right 😂
Very nice! Good design! You should keep extra foam handy, in case the foam loses its ability to grip the armrests. That cup holder is a nice touch. Gotta have that coffee! 😆☕😆
Now what if you made a swivel arm thing so then it holds the chair table to the side when not using it????? 😮 like a monitor arm but for the table 🤯🤯
That would be cool! I got some thinking to do now lol 🤔😅
I was thinking in a similar way.
When I was getting my chemo treatment, the IV room had comfy recliner chairs with sidetable arms.
What a delightful time I've spent enjoying your superb video! Both of you are wonderfully creative with your winning personalities. Thank you aren't adequate words to celebrate my appreciation. Of course, Joy Joy was a purrfect paws as intermission.
I love this idea, knowing me, I’d fall asleep as soon as I reclined.
lol its tempting
Why is this channel and you so ridiculously good? Love the cat loving/purring session at around the 11 50 minute mark.

Subbed.

I take that back, the chair fits you and Toni perfectly, I didn't want to leave Toni out of it, because I would never leave out my friends ❤️
We have been binge watching your videos for hours today. Your fun to watch and very inspirational. Keep up the great work.
Thank you ❤️
I love your ingenuity, that your share your thought process, and have such a variety of projects! Very cool. ❤
Thank you ☺️
Tiff how is it to work in your tidy organgized space. You seemed relaxed while in there. Love your desk hack. ❤
Oh I love it! It’s nice to be able to work even when is raining and most importantly I can actually find my tools now
Such a great design! I wouldn’t be surprised if you get requests to make more and sell to other chair owners 😂
lol I know right
Super cool :) I love your videos, and I appreciate that your projects are down to earth and accessible. The idea of a more ergonomic computer setup has been nagging me forever, so I’m glad you shared this.
Thanks :)
"I'm surprised this is going so well"
- me when anything works 😂
I have a Kidney Desk from the 30’s-40’s that is the perfect work station. Glad to see the old is being blended with the new. Great video ❤
This is beyond cool Tiff ! I would absolutely love this set up :) pop it in the post please ha ha ha
Awesomeness as always, but when its empty it certainly reminds me of an Adult High Chair, memories of feeding my kids when they were little :)
That is the best laptop desk ever!!!!!! You are a genius! Thank you for sharing ❤
You are so creative & resourceful! Love your new chair desk top! 🦋
Thank you ☺️
It would've been Kool if u did game controller drawings on it since it looks like a Sega controller!!
I like this idea 😁
I so enjoy your videos!!! ❤❤ I like how to keep going until you figure it out. And Toni does an awesone job of editing. You're a great duo!!!
The chair fits you perfectly 👌 👍
Love your design! Nice work. Amazing! I also like the chair. I am going to order one.
Awesome! Thank you!
That was a great idea, liked how you did a mock-up first. came out great.
For you re very talented. Proud of you!
Looks like a pilots station on the USS Enterprise ;) Sweet project.
@10:35 offer the saw the riving knife to help with that prayer. I have the same saw. It snaps in easy! :)
That came out beautiful, nicely done! And Toni does a great job with editing.
For less chipout with your jigsaw, try bosch's "clean cut" blades. They work great for me.
Looking forward to your next project! 🍻
Thanks for making videos. You and everyone in them are fun to watch. :)
For painting buy some painters pyramids, they are cheap and excellent helpers.
Just found your channel today! Such great content! Great editing. Entertaining and informative! Very well done!
Well done Tiff 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you!!
Great build Tiff! I could sure use that.
Great desk. Maybe one arm could swing out to get in. Not sure if that’s feasible. 😊😊
That’s a good idea I gotta think on that 🤔❤️
Always fun watching you troubleshoot on the fly. Cool project. Also, do you know what program Toni uses to edit?
Thanks! She uses Premier Pro
@@diytiff Thanks! Chair looks super comfortable.
Enjoy watching your videos very much. Looking forward to the next. 😎👌
Great project. The getting in and out is tricky, though. Have you tried a slot/niche on the wall so that you can slide the board from and to the chair? Loved your to-go office. I might just give it a try.
I would like to add a tip make the template half of the width so you can just flip it over to have the edges symmetrical 😊
The chair desk top - pretty cool! It turned out very nice. I'm surprised you got it right on the first go round, not your usual work ethic, I mean that in a good way, because when you mess up, it's usually very comical.

It reminds me of a babies high chair, good idea.
Looks like a big baby high chair. Great job.
That's awesome! I love it!🤩💜
Thank you! 😄
You and your edits are adorable lol
You are so creative so nice to see that
If I had this when I was still working, I would have been napping!!!
So creative! I love it!
That's an amazing idea. 👏
Dang! Nifty idea! Curious though, does the computer get hot? If so, there might be "an update" adding cooling fans? But depends on how old the laptop is I guess.
This laptop is made for gaming (but I use it for editing) so it sounds like an airplane when the fans turn on. So far no problems with it getting hot.
wow, you did that better than the boys 🙂
Impressive!
Thank you ☺️
I think a laguna table arm would have helped for easy in/out of the chair. Other than that, I like it.
Love it! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

.... wondering if an exacto knife around mdf plywood stuff into top layer may prevent major chipping??!??
Nah, you need another chair with your bean desktop for Toni. 😉
She agrees 😂
Great chair mabe you should think about getting Toni her own chair to match yours
All this situation reminds me of the movie Wall-E. Yeah, 100%.

The oil based poly is where you’re getting the yellowing from. The water base, polyethylene is water based so it doesn’t yellow.

Cup holder Tiff!!!!
Have you worked out storage and protection. Should have one disconnect on electric
Hi Tiff, I have a question about the chair. I see you have the mesh seat. Have you experienced the mesh stretching on the seat?
I have not
Thank you for letting me know. Have a great day!
One obvious tip for templates is to fold the cardboard and only draw one half of the design. Once you cut through the folded cardboard you will have the second side identical to the first
Try round over nits on plywood edges
Great work! btw what is the name of the music at 6:41 ?
Honesly this is what i was planning if i dont get my own room might as well build this
Nice job.
Nice loved it
That is so cool
My husband has that laptop and my God is it heavy!!
It’s very cool…but…how do you even get in and out of it?
I’d use a down cut jig saw blade to protect the good face 😊
To avoid chipping use the proper sawblade and switch off swiveling from the saw.
Brilliant!!🎉
Now you just need to motorize the chair
Can u share the woood you buy ?
How much would you sell it for?
Just use roundover router bit on the edges.
Ha. ‘We don’t talk about that.’ Box says cosplay, and we’re already aware that you’re both giant nerds. 🥰
😂😅
I think you should market it.
3:40 My broke ass: "Ok, I'm done"
I normally use the trackpad that's built into my laptop.
Looks like a high chair.
I’ve not long ago watched you build an enormous lump of a desk out of pallet wood, and now it’s disappeared , what’s happened to it ?
😅 I made this right before the desk. The pallet desk is the last video I made
"this desk project went so well that I'm not going to use it and instead I'll build a $2000 desk out of pallets" lol wut
If you draw only the half of the stencil and fold it in half then copy it then it will be symmetrical. ;j
