    As a lyari born female, i know seeing you made the kids feel good about their skin. we may not admit it, racism is still there. the lighter u are, the more chances for work, better marriage connections, caste etc... but its nice for you to visit my community and show them that there are others like them around the world.

    Interesting, there are also black populations in Balochistan. Not every black person is a descendent of slavery, some were traders. Asia is very diverse in general due to migrations.

    • @jamdee6
      @jamdee6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Arab slave trade - trafficking and brutalizing Africans, lasted more than 1300 years and still continues today. As bad as the transatlantic slave trade was, the Arabs were significantly worse, but we just don't shine a light on it as much. Both Islam and Christianity were the worst things to impact the African continent. Both of these religious groups justified their inhumane treatment of Africans with religious doctrine. The cultural roots of Pakistani blacks have been intentionally erased. And who would want to remember your family's story of major trauma including, kidnapping, abuse, and assault, rape, disfigurement. If you notice, the black Pakistanis are also living in the most impoverished and under-resourced areas - just like many black people around the world, and they were more community-spirited and welcoming than the aggressive reactions and ignorant stares of brown-skinned/Arabic Pakistanis. The system of global anti-blackness is an incredible sickness of the mind and spirit. I was appalled at how Pakistanis in general treated a black man walking their streets as an alien - a strange novelty - when they were hiding away their own beautiful black countrymen who have roots there for decades or centuries.

    Excellent video. I grew up in Karachi, practically round the corner from Liyari. Our housekeeper who helped raise the kids in our family was from Liyari. Back then their descent was not that big a source of confusion. She used to refer to herself as Makrani, which means hailing from Makran: a region of Baluchistan, the Western and Southern most region of Pakistan, bordering on the Middle East and a thoroughfare for traders and travellers from Middle Eastern and North African states.

    In Pakistan and in many other parts of India no one is classified or identified as black or white or by race. There are Europeans in North Western part of Pakistan , Africans and others Chinese etc in other parts of Pakistan. These people are so well intergrated in the society , black and white are just normal for them no discrinimation. However among many families themselves in India and Pakistan have children with darker and fair skin. They see fairer as handsome. They do have discrimination based on castes and religion.

      This black community definitely does not look like they originate from Somalis. If they did, after 100's of years of intermixing with the locals, they would look much different to these people. Nothing wrong with how these people look, they are beautiful but Somalis in general already look mixed and so when they intermarry with other races their kids tend to look alot more like the other parent. Of course there are always exceptions. I suspect they wouldn't be from Egypt either but it's very interesting to find out where they originate from and if they still have any relatives in those countries.

    No disrespect but the question about racism and do they know where they originally from in Africa in reality does not exist. You need to do more historical research of self. And you will understand they have been hundreds of years of transatlantic trades of Africans all over the world and white colonizers wasn't the only one involved in the slave trade. As well it was also religious in culture takeovers and before then they did not have all the borders that you are referring to even on the continent of Africa Africans as well as other nationalities migrated. We all the family regardless of the ignorance of racism. You have to love yourself and realize your complexion does not identify your racial identity or culture. If you notice I'm sure even in your own family no one is the same complexion whether you are descendants from Africa are European descendants. You are following a rabbit hole if you are looking for a racial identity trust me follow culture. Even though you desire your child not to look like you most children care less about their complexion. It's only when adults put a tear system on complexion.
