  • Up there as the curry house favourite, this is my take on the Chicken Jalfrezi, with vibrant peppers and the most incredible, aromatic and fragrant tomato gravy. Give this one a go and never have another greasy takeaway version. You need to make this!.

Looks delicious. I don't think I've ever tried this dish...the name does not ring a bell. Definitely something I'd love to try though. Thank you for the great recipe and video!

Love a Jalfrezi,I make mine hotter, with more fresh chillis.Tip. I wash my rice,in cold water, several times and leave to stand for 10 or 15,mins.This gets rid of the starch and the rice cooks fluffy and separates, not glutinous. I always use Basmati for curries.Kashmiri Pilau is also delish!!

Nice n simple.!!! .. you could add an onion to the oil before tomatoes n fry off slightly..this will give gravy more texture in the sense it'll hold better n also enhance taste. ..

Just made this, cut amount of chilli down as the wife doesn't like too much, also knocked up a couple of your naans at same time, who says men can't multi task ????
Any way i give it 10/10. very tasty, not oily as mentioned and naans were better than you can buy at shop or your curry house.. definitely one for the recipe book, Cheers.
