It worked wonders for us here in the US. The more we tell kids they are victims and the more concessions we allow, the nicer and more civilized they have become. Crime is all gone now that we have accepted that they are not the problem, it is the law-abiding, responsible citizens that are the real problem.

The One Punch crime = 6 months straight in jail no mucking around, pending investigations are completed and if murder or manslaughter? Then roll out the required punishment.
If it’s done to a police officer = 1 year jail.
That will stop all the BS attitude out there and it will send an instant message - you commit such cowardly crime, you do the time.

Looks like as a nice shift here. Sorry for you I hope it changes, I must say your Police forces are not ment to deal with heavy violence....Is not bad you are nice people....but if your environment turn violent you should change your policing..... I have some years experience.

im thinking the violence may have started in wellington when protesters where beat up for there lawfull rite to ask the goverment to talk to them, i wonder if people have lost all respect because of the violence they saw,,

Come off it mate, those selfish protesters were breaking the law from the start. They had a legal avenue to protest and voice their concerns but they had to make it a spectacle. Police did a damn fine job in a difficult situation.
