I feel sadder for Manjeet than Aditya. "Nahi dekhne mujhe Ganne ke khet" could have been a Manjeet moment. Note - he didn't malign Geet infront of her family for catching her with aditya. Geet played with him more than Anshuman did Geet, we could have had a "Man-Geet" couple, but My Man-jeet could never be.

Logic of Bollywood movies like Jab we met, Kal ho naa ho - if you are not loudly screaming and hysterically laughing then you are not living life. Some of us are quiet on the outside and happy on the inside; we find peace in reading and live in the present while thinking about the consequences of our actions. But who will tell the script writers that people wear glasses because they have poor eyesight not because they are nerdy and can easily take them off for a makeover?

It is the notion that only those people who are laughing loudly, doing a variety of things or travelling every month are the only ones who are living their life. The Bollywood is riddled with these movies where one of the characters teaches the other to 'live life'. Not everyone who is travelling is happy and not everyone who is at their home watching TV is depressed.

Maybe this is not much related... But let me share the moment I experienced at the Howrah Railway Station or maybe at any other railway station.
I don't travel around much alone since I am just 18 about to turn 19, nor does my family too...ಠωಠ Yet to join college
So, as a kid it was kind of tiring to rush to the platform and stand waiting for the train whenever my family planned to go somewhere.
Last time when I travelled by train was March 2019... I was going to Chandipur with my mother along with my maternal relatives. Not sure what were their plans... But I can say I was kind of a freeloader lol ಠ‿ಠ as it was optional for me to join them I guess... Obviously my mother and I had rush to the platform after reaching the station, but I think we were on time so we were waiting somewhere where were I saw some people sitting and less rush and crowd... Basically we did not go immediately to the platform since probably the train hasn't come yet.. don't remember much 😅
It was a hot afternoon, but the place were we sat was at a okay temperature, due to the high ceiling fans so it was fine... There was a small coloured translucent roof above us where we sat from which the sunlight was coming through... My mum was talking to maasi...
I felt like at that moment that whatever I'm seeing through my eyes should definitely be directed in a movie... Something simple and realistic... Where the protagonist is waiting for someone or something... & suddenly something unexpectedly good or bad happens and the protagonist runs... No background music... Just a shot of the protagonist in crowd and their expressions...The audience will hear the Hubbub and platform announcements or whatever can be heard or seen at a platform
Oh my young imaginative mind...
It was an "out of the world" moment for me... Maybe because I was going on a trip.

Jab we met is one of my favourite hindi movies. It established Kareena as one of the top heriones of her generation and shahid became an actor with potential
Except she is not that good, let alone top! The only movie where her acting chops somewhat shone through is Talaash. She has been mediocre in most of her movies and don't even get me started with her early 2000s movies.

Her performances in movies like chameli dev omkara yuva jwm kurbaan and heroine were top notch and her longevity of 24 years in the industry and still being revalent is commendable

@@yousafihsan167 Longevity is not a perimeter to measure one's acting prowess 🙄 If that was the case Nicolas Cage should be considered one of the best actors given his long stint in Hollywood. Kareena Kapoor has improved a lot post 2010 and I am not disagreeing that she has some great movies under her belt. But most of her movies before 2010 are awful and her acting has always been subpar at its best.

Overrated crap! The only reason this movie gained somewhat cult status is because wannabe film buffs finally gave it a go years after it was released and they haven't stopped raving about it ever since to stay true to their halfbaked skill. In all honesty, it's only relevant to this day bc it has some superlative soundtrack which stood the test of time. The storyline is inspired from DDLJ but doesn't even come close to the predecessor. And I agree completely that Geet was the worst! Not sure if it's her character or annoying Kareena Kapoor who played her I couldn't stand her. Watched it once and promised to never watch it again!
