A lot of the out islands are not only safe but a lot of the population is second home owners from the U.S. these are called the family islands. They are almost all larger families of the original settlers. I don’t think Miami is very safe but that doesn’t mean I will not go to Florida

Fisherman's wharf in SF is now a crime hotspot. Businesses are closing because the losses are simply too great to bear, even with all the tourist traffic. State Dept is responsible for issuing travel advisories for Americans before they visit OTHER COUNTRIES, as part of their duties. You've been warned, and now make your decision based on that. Of course, U.S. is as dangerous or maybe even more so than other countries, and it's the responsibilityof YOUR government to warn you about that. Once across the bridge I was bombarded with local thugs trying to sell me Marijuana, Cocaine, fake jewelry, hookers, and even insurance. All I had to do was follow them down an alley to their offices. Lol
